Undervolting and under clocking are 2 entirely different things lol. And the reason the fps increased is because of the memory clock, not the core clock
@@anujpunekar5233 if you were looking for a confirmation, then yes you are absolutely correct. Wasn't sure if that was more of a question from how it was worded/how I read it
Okay, let me actually explain what you are doing, and that this is only ture within specific conditions. furmark will be using more power than say, a game. In laymen's terms rhis is because its using super optimized shaders which make more transistors switch, which then means that the gpu core will require more power, that then means it hits the power limit at a much lower clock speed. This then means that by undervolting it you are decreasing the amount of power the gpu core is pulling allowing the card to clock up to the higher clock at the same power. This will only work in power limited loads. Which isn't many.
You forgot to change the other points to the right of the one that you moved. All of the ones to the right of the one that you moved need to be moved to any point below the initial one so that they all stay level with it.
Furmark ignores most undervolts as it's a "power virus" of sort. Also please don't ever give people exact numbers they should use 😂 milage will always vary. I'll say 1000 on the memory is a bit excessive as well as it will absolutely push more power through your vram chips, negating your possible longevity increase. you should probably mention any memory overclock is usually that number x2 also once it takes on your vram
Yeah but I really rather temps over extra performance, my 3070ti set -300 core clock , set on 825mv with 1800mhz , and i nearly dropped 10c with the same performance😅
And even then one 3070 ti is going to be different from the next 3070 ti. Some chips are just made better than others (silicon lottery) so you can boost them WAY beyond the stock clocks whereas some you'll only be able to boost +200 or +300 and not the +1000 he did.
For those who would like to do this, do not follow the curve setup in this vid 100%. Every device is different and you have to find that out on your own.
your gpu is trying to run at too high of mhz compared to the voltage. this causes your pc to crash. what you need to do is run the automatic oc scanner, this overclocks your gpu the desired amount
Dude l like to hear your thoughts on this. In a GPU undercloking video one person edits the zero to -250 and later raise a certain voltage to the desired frequency and set it .
