Thank you, bro. This is my first undervolt, and I only used the exact settings that you recommended, and the results are amazing. My GPU used to reach temperatures between 77 and 80 degrees at 100% usage, but with this undervolt, it now reaches a maximum of 70 degrees (most of the time it's around 68 or 69) at the same 100% usage. My GPU is an RTX 3060 Twin Edge Zotac with 12GB of DDR6. Note: More stability and no less performance.
Thank you! I did this and a custom fan curve which increased my performance, decreased temperature by around 10 degrees Celsius, and decreased volume of my fans. Great video

This is my first time under volting a gpu. Very solid tutorial. rtx 3060 12gb out of the box would boost all the way up to 1942mhz and temp would be around 73c pulling around 1080 volts. Followed your guide and my card has a boost to only 1920 but the temp maxes out at 64c at 900 volts and is completely stable. More than a fair trade off. Also went from pulling around 175-180+ watts to 127 watts on full load. Thank you very much!
Thanks dude! I did this and went from 72celsius to like 60-62celsius! And power usage dropped from 170w to like 120-125ish watts! Awesome. I always liked the efficiency and performance of the GTX 1060 back in the day and always wished for the same power efficiency from the RTX 3060. Now I have it 😀

Thanks a lot for this quick and easy tutorial, I never thought of undervolting. My RTX 3060 Dual OC runs now stable on 887 mV and 2000 Mhz on QHD (1440), frames increased by 10 FPS on average, temperature dropped by almost 10 degrees to 62 and the power draw went down from 170 W to 110 W! By the way I still run the i5 4690 K overclocked on 4.3 GHZ on the good old Asus z97 P board, still no need for new hardware in 2023 as even recent games are running well with high and even ultra settings with no performance issued whatsoever.

Helped me drop my temps by 5C and raised my bench score in Port Royal by 8%! I'm really happy with these results. Thanks again! 👍

Bro. You are a headache and time-saver. Everything about this video was PERFECTION. Subbed to say thank you for your EFFICIENT video EDIT: Didn't do much for me. It seems. MAYBE 2-3 degrees if at all(not sure). But it seemed to have gotten rid of a bug. Once in a while I'd get a random ''flash'' where for like 0.5seconds the screen turned dark. That seems to be gone right now. But other than that, neither my idle temp or while gaming has changed.
Hi there! First of all, thanks a lot. If you do want to get a bigger temperature drop, try this: 875mV 1800Mhz with no memory offset, without hitting the “L” key
BRO I love you! was at 73° before now its 62° max no changes in gaming performance!!! And fan speed also got better. It was loud as shit before now its great TY
Thank you so much ! My gpu was at 82 c in some ray tracing games (3060 ti) i was uncomfortable with that, its now about 10 degrees cooler while having a few more fps ! Also consumes 40 watts less power which is really nice

It works like a charme and super easy to follow! Thanks for this great tutorial, really helpful!! 900mv with +800 memory and 1950 MHz clock speed :) 69° max Temp.
I have a Prebuilt Alienware, When i ran the kombuster stress test the temps increased dramaticly then is slowed down at around 63 c and topped out at between 66 and 67. I'm pretty sure in game I got up to 75 which is hot. so it improved by 8/9 degrees. Plus it will help lag spikes!

thank you a lot for explaining all that so even i can understand:D I have a question regarding adding mhz to the memory: if i play games in 1080p or even lower res - there is no point in adding them?
Ok i just watched your other undervolt videos, and it sucks that you did us dirty here, bcs for example in your 4070ti video you did the curve more smooth, gave info about making more profiles etc, can you maybe redo this tutorial? if you cant, bcs you don't have 3060 anymore, should we stick with this? or we should follow some parts from your diffrent videos? i would be glad if you could elaborate :)

Thank you so much, my first time having a PC and it helps so far. Question tho, will this extend or decrease my PC’s life capacity? I want this pc to last me a long time and run smoothly no matter what
im trying to undervolt my 3060 because of using StableDiffusion crank up the temp until 77c, now it at 66c for long hour of usages now, great tutorial. i dont do gaming that much anymore, unlike my teen years. great tutorial. thank you.
Something I don't understand - if we are doing this to reduce power consumption, why increase the power limit? Looking into this because I'm mostly likely upgrading to 3060 from 1060 tomorrow and I want to lower power consumption to about same level as 1060. I know I could do it by decreasing power limit to 70 percent, but I hear this is the better way. Though my tiny brain doesn't really understand how this works and I'm scared to damage the gpu. :D Also, did you happen to test by just how much power consumption is decreased on a 3060 with your setting vs default ?
You don’t really have to raise the power limit. The reason why I recommend doing it, is that occasionally there will be a spike in power and if you have the PL unlocked, you won’t notice any FPS drops, on the contrary, if you have the power limit locked the card will downclock. I think it’s the perfect tutorial for your needs, follow it and you won’t look back :)
@@ImWateringPSUs I'm also suspicious of the fact that doing it this way seems to lower the clocks for voltages below your chosen peak one. Most games I play are older games that didn't even utilize my gtx 1060 fully, and this type of undervolt appears to only work for the most intensive stuff. For less intensive games this would appear to actually make GPU use more power, not less. I just settled for lowering power limit to my new card for now before I look into other ways of undervolt. Even at 65 percent power limit my RTX 3060 runs WAY faster than a 1060 while consuming even less power, it's an over 60 watt decrease. Maybe I will need to raise power limit for some game eventually but for now I will just stick to this simple setting.
After learning a bit more about Afterburner controls I ended up setting my 3060 to 925mv@1965mhz. Without that silly negative offset that would downclock the lower voltages. I left those at default values and only raised the 925mv point, then dragged the mouse to the right while holding Shift until all other voltage points got selected together with the 925 point. Then hit Enter twice and selection gets flattened. I have no idea why most tutorials on youtube recommend to do this negative offset thing but it seems inefficient to me. I left power limit at default too, doesn't seem to be any reason to increase it when voltage never goes above 925mv anyway. Max power draw is ~130W now. GPUZ reports this as a 33 Mhz overclock.

I found this to be really helpful when using this card for 1440p or 4K resolution this is mainly a 1080p card and so the temperatures are like 65 when using that resolution but if you go any higher it starts to go up 75..80.. 83.. but after undervolting it will stay around 70 without any decrease in performance
thankU so much, my gigabyte gaming oc variant ran at stock 1081mv...and temps were aorund 67c...after undervolting to 925mv temps are now 56c and power consumption also decreased by 50-55 watts

Thanks for the video. I have an RTX 3060 12G inno3D and managed to set it at 900 mV with +800 on the memory speed and 2002 on the core, ran the benchmark for 10 minutes and its stable at 60-63°C with 36% fan speed. Tried pushing it to 2050 on the core clock but it crashed. On the hot spot however I got 73° so I don't know what to think about that. EDIT: I played a bit of bf 2042 and it crashed so I added +50 mV(950) and now it ran well, no issues. The performance also seemed to be better. Had an avarage of 75 FPS in bf 2042 on ultra settings 2k res dlls quality on a 128 player server. Set the fans to hit 50% once the temps hit 60° and the gpu stayed below that.

@@ImWateringPSUs Thank you for your answer. I do have one question. The max power limit in afterburner for me is at 100% instead of 110%, why is that?
Hi, mine wasn't stable 1800 MHz at 850mV or 825mV. Now I am testing 1830 MHz 875mV and +800 memory clock. Doesn't hit throttle limit. Runs cool at around 55-60c. 900mV at 1900Mhz did throttle on my card.
I have question about the curve before the 900 mark, will this not decrease performance at the initial stage of run for the card? for example in less demanding games? maybe theres something we can do about the initial curve? followed your guide and i'm sitting at 925mV 1965mhZ core + 800 mem i got -4 degree, was getting artifacts when i pushed it harded, im happy with this anyway, model of card rtx 3060 gigabyte eagle lhr, need to be tested tho in demanding games. thanks for this guide man it really helped :)
I apologize for asking what may seem like a simple question, but I am not very experienced when it comes to overclocking and undervolting. Thank you in advance.
Singaporean Gamer here. Today I followed your undervolt guide for my *MSI RTX 3060 VENTUS 3X 12G OC edition* . In Battlefield V, I went from default 120 - 155w, Highest Temp 62c at 1950mhz with User Defined Auto fan control disabled to 88 - 105w, 56c at 1920mhz. A drop in 6 degrees difference. Also fired up another game on the PCSX2 emulator, PS2 game, *007: Agent Under Fire (2001)* , I went from 50 - 75w, down to 30 - 50w. Didn't pay attention to my temps on the emulator though, sry. I'm going to do more testing to check for stability, I hope it doesn't give me BSOD. I'm not sure what are the benefits of undervolting GPU long term? This is my first time doing this. Very interesting to see such substantial reduction like 50- 60 wattage minus off on intensive Triple A game via undervolting.

i have a question about gpus. i bought a new pc like 2 weeks ago (with rtx 3060 in it). everything was fine until now. i could run for example the witcher 3 on high or ac odyssey on medium (high propably too i guess but i dont care that much about grpahic settings - medium was fine for me) and i had no issues. yesterday i noticed very loud noises (propably coil whines but im not 100% sure) from gpu. is it possible tha coil whines show up after some time (2 weeks for me) of usage? undervolting using your guide reduced the noise slightly. the noise is not disturbing for me, but i just want to make sure that my pc is working properly
I've seen a lot of 3060 undervolting tutorials but only you tell to put the "Core clock" to -250 before editing the curve. Why? Is there any difference?
I followed your steps and my temps did get better but I'm getting some lag spikes during some games and a weird noise is coming from my gpu from time to time during gaming which is odd. I have a zotac rtx 3060 twin edge oc 12 gb. Any help would be appreciated!
Nice. Now my new 3060 takes as much power as my 3050 did, but runs much faster, perfectly stable in several games. Although mine wont unlock power limit, but it seems fine.
I'm a little bit confuse. You said that this UV will decrease power compsuption. But I see that when u change for 110% power you left it and didnt back to 100% or lower. Just the change settings of curve will lower power compsuption?
Definitely help with temps. First time doing this on a 3060 ti to 8gb and it work its wonders. Just a question. During idle times where I’m not doing anything, the GPU stays at 1875 MHz. Is this normal? Thank you.
So the 30 series behaves in 15mhz increments, so you should just set it to 1890 - pretty sure the curve moved down to 1890 or up to 1905 by your setting 1900

Your video helped me actually understand what I'm supposed to be doing with the curve editor, and in the end I was able to get a stable UV/OC very similar to what you said you run.
Helped me drop my temps by 5C and raised my bench score in Port Royal by 8%!
I'm really happy with these results. Thanks again! 👍

Also, did you happen to test by just how much power consumption is decreased on a 3060 with your setting vs default ?
GPUZ reports this as a 33 Mhz overclock.
very good advice/settings, saved me a lot of time testing myself... thank you mate! 🙂

Did you get higher fps too?
I found this to be really helpful when using this card for 1440p or 4K resolution this is mainly a 1080p card and so the temperatures are like 65 when using that resolution but if you go any higher it starts to go up 75..80.. 83.. but after undervolting it will stay around 70 without any decrease in performance

This is my first time doing this. undervolting using your guide reduced the noise slightly.
the noise is not disturbing for me, but i just want to make sure that my pc is working properly
Undervolting my 3060 Ti was the only thing to stop my computer from crashing mid game and it dropped my temps 10 to 20 degrees depending on game.

I've seen a lot of 3060 undervolting tutorials but only you tell to put the "Core clock" to -250 before editing the curve. Why? Is there any difference?
Yup! This makes it much quicker and easier to flatten the curve!
