One time, my hobie 16 was chillin on the beach with only the mainsail up facing into the wind, the main sheet was loose but somehow wrapped around the corner of the tiller bar and she took off upwind unmanned, I managed to run and get on to it, otherwise it would have kept going until it either crashed or capsized. But I got onto it and had to sail it with just the main sail and I actually really enjoyed just the mainsail. So much control, and there was plenty of wind that day so she could fly a hull very easily

I hope the other guy lived long enough to not see the PFD as a pain to wear. And I recognized that close, offshore island when the camera panned up at 2:07. Long Beach, CA, right? Cheers.

It's easier to pull the catamaran by the forward crossbar than to push it by the aft crossbar!

How was sailing there? I'm dying to take mine up the coast from there ⛵️

Better pull than push. Wind can turn and your boat desapears.

Learn before, then ride. Security is a must.

@@frankjohnson8750 In light winds with potential rescuers around this works but if wind is up, or likely to come up, then best case is you're going to break $$ things, worst case you become part of the aquatic food chain
