I mean they’re great cars and if you can afford the maintenance or do it yourself I think it’s a better pill for people to swallow ya know? In 28k miles of ownership in 9 months, i had spark plugs replaced, three oil changes, tie rod (under warranty), and two tire rotations. I also had a new set of tires put on but that’s because of me blowing one and deciding to go non run flats. It’s been solid other than that. That’s about two years worth of miles for the average person so I consider it to be reliable. I’m about to hit 60k this week with no issues. Yes the tie rod was expensive but that’s also bmw pricing. Warranty was nice cause I didn’t have to find a shop or try and get a rental or anything. Plus I have four more years of coverage!
It's a gorgeous car but as to be expected they are expensive to buy , maintain and insure. You have paid $2300 up front for " maintenance " which is for items outside of oil, filters , tires and brakes etc. Good for you cause you can afford it .
My thing is I know the warranty will end up paying for itself. Especially since I drive a lot and it’s unlimited miles. It’s basically covered like 40% of itself so far. I’m sure I’ll need more maintenance or work in the next 4.5 years that will blow past the initial amount I paid for it ya know? I
And that’s fair! I considered a Camry and accord and even civic when I was shopping. I knew they’d be more reliable. But for the performance and what this car gives you, it can’t be beat. Getting one used with 20k for the same price as a new loaded Camry or accord makes it an enticing option. If 2k for a warranty gives me the peace of mind that’d I’d have either an accord or Camry then so be it! Plus since it covered suspension parts as well, it makes it even better. Those parts would need replacement even if it’s a Toyota or Honda!
I bought a 2020 E53 benz that was CPO last october and got some tire/wheel & electronic warranty for 230 a month. I blew a tire and cracked my rim from a pothole during a heavy rainstorm. The entire thing came out to like 1800 dollars but warranty covered everything so I was stoked the warranty saved my ass
That’s great! I noticed some people think that these are a waste of money or they can do the work themselves and blah blah but everyone’s life is different and we see value in different items or ad ons! Glad it saved you. If you check out my other videos I cooked a pothole and it caused almost 10k in damages by the time everything was said and done 🤣 insured cover it
Always find it funny when people buysuper expensive cars and dont keep them clean....papers and crap on the floor takes away form the luxury to me! Nice BMW though
I know I know! It’s normally clean I’ve just been jumping between cars and I just got this back from the shop so I tossed all my stuff in it! Normally it’s clean. Vacuumed, wiped down inside and washed once a week usually. I just made this video right before work (in a parking lot) as you saw 🤣
lol. i changed the kia ball joint for $35 and tie rods for $100. plan to do the same on my M340. no different. just get the parts from FCPeuro. Extended warranty on BMW is bullshit. you could have bought parts and did it yourself for the same money you paid for deductible... you wasted your money on paying insurance. you got taken man.
No lol. I explained it in the video. Yes I can do it myself. But I don’t have access to tools or a place to work on it right now. I’ve used FCP euro for my old 5 series and loved them. My options this time were either have the warranty cover it and pay 200 (which even the dealer said let us know its warrantied right when you drop it off and they’ll work around that amount I have to pay), or pay more than $200 for a side Indy shop to do it. Plus I got to use a loaner x3 for five days, make a video on it, and put like 800+ miles on it. I plan on keeping this car until the warranty is up. I drive about 30-35k a year and since the warranty is unlimited miles, I’m down to let them keep covering stuff and loaner cars. When it comes time for mounts, struts, other bushing and just random stuff that will get worn out, it adds up. Having access to loaner also sweetens the deal. I’ve gotten four loaners from them so far for the four stops and this is the first time I’ve paid anything. And total Ive probably put 5/6k miles on those loaners. Saved me from putting those miles on my car 😂
I have a 2021 M235 with zero problems. If they're so bad why do people by these expensive cars?

Mechanic admitted he won't screw you as bad if you let him know he's going to get paid through warranty anyway. LMAO. Dealer mechanics are a joke
Haha the service writer is the guy who said but both ways I save money lmao so idc
I'd rather buy new Toyota that will last 300,000 miles or more with basic maintenance and not have to throw away money on an extended warranty.

The newer Toyotas are all complex hybrids or turbocharged. And full of technology. You’d definitely need a warranty on a modern Toyota (2018+)
And you would rather take your sister to the prom instead of the hottest girl
