Ive been looking at getting a ninja 400 as my first bike and a contingent I agreed to with my mom was that I wouldn't upgrade to something bigger (higher cc). As someone who isn't looking to chase that adrenaline and go 150+ this bike really seems like the perfect fit and I didnt fully realize that until watching this video so thank you! You hitting 100 in 6th and your explenation is all I needed. Im taking the msf here in a month and looking to buy a 400 here soon. So Glad you posted this. Im having the same issues and on my 2015 Nissan Murano and was told I needed a compressor but the compressor is working and blowing warm air. Now I will buy the compressor control valve and have it replaced instead. You have saved me a ton of money! Much Thanks Friend!

excellent take man thank you!! i agree i started on dirt bikes as a kid, got a ninja650, and a 1100 cruiser, few months later moved to thailand where traffic is WILD and it really boosted my riding confidence, but when im back in the states with my bikes, i actually decided to downgrade! i pocketed a lot of the profit moving down to a 400!! and insurance was so much cheaper. i agree with everything you said, i kinda realized it does everything i want and im not in this for bragging rights. also, those bigger faster bikes always feel like a waste because you never realllyy use their full potential so 80% of your time youre not using that extra speed.

I agree with many of the previous comments. The problem is not one that oil additives are designed to fix. The issue is the piston rings being engineered by manufacturer to be too small/loose for better fuel economy ratings. Adding oil additives does nothing to fix that cause. It would be like using rubbing alcohol to clean a cut on your arm in hopes it would fix a leaky valve in your heart. You're attempting to clean something not related to the cause of the problem.

If the stock exhaust and ABS breaking system alone are about $5,000.00 you should know that the bike should sell for about $11,000.00,,, and no it's not a beginner bike or a commuter and the velocity stacks alone should tell you that it's not a beginner it is a 400cc class. If you don't believe then ride one and full throttle the full 28mm twist and see how it pulls like a 600cc, most riders never full throttle but think they do.

Welp, this fixed my 2018 Altima SV.. I have 195k miles.. I'm sure the compressor will need to be changed soon.. however change the AC control valve just fixed cooling issue!!! Thank you!

Bro the stopping everything you're doing when you think you hear another motorcycle is real 😂 im never going to get rid of my 400 either. They are great bikes and perfect to go doink around on. Even if i get a bigger cc one day i still plan on keeping the 400 for a variety of reasons!
