The Galaxy S23 Ultra is NOT Perfect... S23 Ultra Problems!

  • These are my thoughts on some of the S23 Ultra issues/ problems that people have noticed within the community, as well as some things about the device I personally do not like. These Galaxy S23 Ultra Problems can be a deal breaker for some people. Personally I don't think the S23 Ultra Problems are that big of a deal.

The "camera quality issue" is because you weren't using the actual camera app, you were using snapshot. For some reason snapchat lowers the resolution/ quality of the camera. It does it for both iPhone n Samsung

    • @valismind
      @valismind  ปีที่แล้ว +25

I know that. That's my point. It's taking a screenshot of the camera-app, which in turn, ruins the image. You're just reiterating my point, however there are many apps where the resulting image is unusable.
And the reason you just simply CAN NOT take the photos/ videos in the camera app vs. the social media apps is because TH-cam Shorts wont let you add multiple clips. So you cannot start/ stop the recording and remove/ trim segments in app.
And for apps like SnapChat, the whole point of the app is to take the photo within the camera app. It would be stupid, inconvenient, and a HUGE waste of time to circumvent this just to get a better looking image.

Personally I don't have any of these issues. On the rare occasions I share images on social media, it's from the gallery anyway, to keep as much quality as possible. But I understand why it could be a let down for some. And the so called shutter lag has never bothered me with any phone I've used. Maybe a couple of times, but on such rare occasions, I can't even remember them. If something is moving that fast, I won't get a nice framed shot anyway, so I don't even try if my subject can't stay still for 2 seconds.

  • @crawlzzz

I didn't think a phone experience could be better than my Z Flip 4 until I got my 23 Ultra. This thing is incredible. I'm astounded at how long I can use it heavily without my battery taking a hit or the phone getting warm. And when I do plug it in for a few minutes I'll check back and it's nearly fully already. Hopefully updates fix the small issues such as the blurry photos but overall it's leagues above every other smartphone I've ever used.

Watching videos on TH-cam and Netflix, the color banding is really visible. I watched the extended version of No Way Home and there's a lot of color banding plus the natural skin tone of Peter and Dr. Strange in their dim-lighted scene made them look like acrylic paintings. Is that normal? A limit of the 8-bit panel that they used here instead of the 10-bit and the lack of a wide color gamut? Or is my display actually defective? 😅

My guess its a processing issue. Lets say they put in a 50,000 MP sensor not the 200MP. It might be so laggy that you could never get a photo unless the subject did not move for 10 seconds. Higher MP = more processing = More lag. Im guessing the lag is 200MP mode. Just don't use that mode its too much processing. Old film cameras were instant vs this trash. Just say no to shutter lag.

These are some good points ! Shutter lag is the main issue of whole phone, not only camera. It's been on Samsung phones for years now and it makes taking a picture of anything that's moving - almost impossible. If you don't like blurry, unusable mess, of course. In the same conditions, my prehistoric Iphone 6 makes better shots. I really don't get why Samsung keeps ignoring this problem. Moon pics are cool, 200 mpix also, but shutter lag shouldn't be there on flagship device. Camera software just isn't on pair with hardware, and cameras on Samsung phones are still unpredictable. You can take 5 shots of the same subject, in the same conditions, one after another and get 3 different results. I think two flagship lineups a year (S series and Flip/Fold) are just too much...

Totally understood need more people like you being honest. These sponsored kids started to forget why the hell they're reviewing smartphones. Honesty is very very rare. Android phones always has that stutter, lag, delay problem. The worst thing is, always and always it comes from SAMSUNG gadgets. Huawei or Xiaomi or Vivo or OPPO performs better. Androids besides SAMSUNG has almost no delay problem and the quality is very good for an Old Huawei Nova as an example. I believe SAMSUNG gadgets won't last long because of the developer being lustful, rushing on getting new techs, new features. My friend got a S10 newer, way more expensive than my Huawei but it delays the same or worst than mine. Why is that happening? Why is that happening? It is a flagship phone bro. Paying tones of money only to get hella laggy, delays after 4 years from release date?? Not even 5 years. My huawei has been 5 years, it performs the same as that S10 except for gaming. Is it worth it?? That s10 stuttered worst than a man with parkinson disease bro. I always get this nightmare, buying s23 ultra only to get laggy, stutter after less than 5 years LOL. Quality control is a crucial aspect. We love development, we loves new things. But rushing on something and can't even make it performs perfectly in 80% of the time is a scam, wasting money and time, wasting the hype. I think the yt reviewers should talk about LONGEVITY. 90% of the consumers buy the smartphones as an investment unlike these sponsored kids use for few months or even days for the sake of reviewing the features only. It is very very saddening to see people got scammed by SAMSUNG. Their phones got way slower than a mid range of other android brands after 3 years. Flagship on Samsung only last for few months. So think wisely before you buy gadgets from this greedy for new features (which you won't be using most of the time) brand. Yes Iphone is overpriced as well, but it performs well, it last longer. There's reason why people hates android so much. Androids especially SAMSUNG gave them trauma from the lags, delays, stuttering parkinson on their so called flagsh1t. Don't waste money just because of the sweet words given by sponsored youtubers. The phones they have will be returned back or kept in the drawers as a review collection. At the end of the day, IPHONE AS THE MAIN PHONE AND SAMSUNG AS THE 2ND PHONE. Trust me the rich people I knew did this. And 3RD PHONE IS IPHONE WITH 2 VERSION OLDER. Don't ever touch mid range samsung unless you wanna kill yourself with parkinson view on your screen a few months later

I have had a Galaxy S23 ultra for 8 months.
I saw a serious problem, when the battery runs out, that is, it completely runs out of charge, it is not possible to charge it, that is, you plug in the charger, but the device only shows 0%, even after hours on the socket.
I discovered that it only starts charging again when it “resets” several times, that is, you have to keep pressing the volume down button and the bixby button until 1% appears, pressing it about 4 to 9 times until it works.
I called Samsung and reported the problem, they said it wasn't a problem and I shouldn't let the battery run down and over time it would get worse until it wouldn't turn on anymore.
Easier to blame the user than to fix the problem, isn't it Samsung?
Do you have any tips to resolve this?

As a very contented S23 Ultra owner I can but applaud you for expressing your opinions in this video. I don't have any gripes about my device, but many people have as with ALL new early production devices. NOTHING in your review was fake or made up, and only by airing such issues will they have any chance of getting rectified by Samsung. Your video title was always going to draw in the defensive element amongst Samsung owners or fanpeople as well as some gleeful haters but that is something you seem to handle well and is certainly good for your viewing figures. I don't want to sound down on fanpeople and haters I must say, as I believe that if you don't feel passionately about things then you are not really living, and after all a bit of courteous comments section squabbling can be quite exciting!..😂😛👍
