One other thing to note is in addition to temple checks they can also boost your pretender in a path they have. And there is a complicated formula for that.
I feel like a rainbow mage to break into blood and do your big conjuring and with a decent stat bless that includes some magic resistance would be the safe and boring path. If I were to aim for something kind of off the wall I'd aim for something with the Great Siddhartha I believe it was. Making use of his big air to do some wind guide things and teleport around to claim thrones and fight hard battles while trying to get a deceny bless paired with him.
In super late game against AI, I like to spam Wish to get a bunch of the three-headed, four-armed pretender chassis, the Asuras, to use as super combatants. This is the opposite of efficiency, but I like the feeling of superiority.
Sometimes the pantokrator just wants to dunk on you.

This is one of my favorite nations. I abuse the fort sacreds as much as possible sometimes up to entire sacred armies. Big strong bless to make them buff. The tiger dudes are also pretty great of course. Maybe Quickness. If monke get to mage before mage scare monke?
Played this *2 much earlier but very different approach apart from avoiding low moral options like plague (except modest remote recruit v barbs). Both times dormant not tanking scales and centred around invulnerability death bless to allow the early death and fire summons including unarmoured. One was the freak lord (also with bloodlust & a bit more) so eventual sideline of dalkini/vamp but a long slog! The other Destroyer of worlds that some same strategy as your bird pretender (Fire/Air play) to death very nice having a 2nd H3 and could use angiri/ganas no real probs with non native magic RNG getting gems (added undying/UD command/Moral to the invuln only). Strategy I found that the tiger flanks and light bandar (best not stacked near others) ok from capital. However asides from summons main front line was white ones + Bandar warrior cudgels stacked 2:1 ratio same combat speed - you get killyness from the mix instead of slogging the bless. On your bless extremely killy but do not like the glamour/blood on immobile without Astral, and do not like abandoning unarmoured sacreds.
I know you play single player exclusively, and I make no claims to proficiency, but I really think you're underestimating how much damage not having protection invites. When you played Kailasa, you kept putting Badar archers with your sacreds, who have no protection, and losing tons. Naked archers get butchered by other archers, and MA might be worse for that than EA since the indies got an upgrade. Hell, Jaguar tribe slings can butcher unarmored archers. I'm just saying to be careful, you dont always need to bring archers.
Archers are a topic that comes up a lot. Once you have melee troops that can't close into combat, having range allows you to have more damage with the same frontage. On the other hand, you are also correct, that at times, archers are inviting an HP route. So many things to balance, and that is what makes this game so darn good! :)
I would not go with quickness on your bless. With your music there is an easy way to paint it upon your summons so it loses Lage game value there while also due to being dormant being weaker in the beginning. So I would presume that you miss both timings in that. I agree that enchanted blood is a good pick as is blood surge (though that one is an always win more pick) Perhaps solar weapons and more attack or Defence would help your troops both early and late. While not as flashy as quickness it means a wide amount of support for summons and troops Also never underestimate recuperation or healer on an astral nation in your god pick for easy mind hunts Generell thing as well for your streams and nation overviews try to think about what type of site searchers you need for your easiest and best access to gems! Makes it much easier to apply them in your games. I think you did something like that with Ashdod… It is also funny to see what different type of game styles there are to god making and dominions play. Even in the early videos I noticed we had different focal points for example after always having horrific luck with misfortune I will never ever take it on my gods while you are quite willing to use it even after your tien shi stream
I see your point. I'll think in this some more for the stream pretender. The fact that our recruitables can't hear the divine music makes it an option, but you are also correct that later on, the summons are far more powerful. Decisions, decisions....hmm.
Another fantastic video. Can't wait to return to monkee!
Hopefully, it will not be a repeat of Kayla's stream.
Really wish reincarnation would also roll for upgrading the unit to something better.
That would be cool if a unit could actually work their way up.
@BabelBuilder ikr there's potential there. Imagine the comanders

21:55 it can also give your god astral and nature magic as far as I remember
When a unit dies or the pretender themself?
@ when a unit dies there should be or used to be a small chance to give astral or nature to the god

Wind guide with flaming arrows would be a surprise pick for sure. Maybe air shield and something from fire.
13 hour drive yesterday, 7.5 today looking forward to relaxing while watching this
You could get through a couple Babel videos in that time!
@@BabelBuilder I could, but i was driving
Very excited to watch
How to you rank the monkey nations?
At thaum you have nature buffs att, morale and even berserk for animals, all of which are usefull
I seem to remember a caster ai chance to make it less likely that our mages troll each other by berserking other casters!
I never play them myself, but in singleplayer I always put them in as an assured spawn. Monke.
That hero summons in seekers of truth which basically serve no combat purpose but lower unrest
Oh, interesting. I guess if you blood hunt that could be useful.

I think invulnerable and even air shield (gasp!) are good picks again here for sure.
