Kacey deserves to be one of the most famous musicians in the world. She basically got blacklisted by the country music industry just because her music mentioned weed and supported gay people. Her voice is beautiful, her personality is incredible, and her songs are truly unique.

@@dancingonmy0wn She doesn't need country, country needs her. Don't lump all country fans together into the "bro country, 9/11 rah rah, git me a truck and a girl" type of fans. She was blacklisted by the radio stations and despite that she's still been very successful, so it's safe to say that country music fans want her kind of music. Country gets a bad rep these days because, ever since 9/11, it's all been very shallow, patriotic, and mostly meaningless music that rises to the top. The thing is, country music used to be very progressive, rebellious, and accepting of everyone. Hopefully country will go back to that over the next decade. Kacey should've been the voice of country for the 2010's and, had she been, we would've seen a new wave of country.
I love her. Every single album. Slow burn, merry go round, blowing smoke, justified, hook up scene, late to the party, etc. All absolute hits.
She's got a Grammy, but she's still underrated.

Helping with PTSD and Depression as well! Glad Kacey came and out and said it helped her create. Exploration and Moderation is the key to life!

I remember being at a house party on the lake, and we all took mushrooms. For 4 hours we sat there listening to music and joking around, when someone realized the same CD was on repeat the whole time. And then we debated if that were true for another 40 minutes before someone had the courage to check. Oops! 😛

I remember seeing her play at Mud Fest in Lubbock like 8 years ago when I was in college. Her and the Josh Abbott Band are good friends. So they sang their song "Oh Tonight" at Mud Fest. I think Kacey actually played during the halftime show at the Tech-UT game too.
For anyone wondering, the concert was during the tour of 2013. Eric Church performed just before Kenny. Great night!
I liked her earlier stuff much better. It just felt old school country. But she is amazingly talented no matter what she is doing.

Was just talking about Golden Hour yesterday and how much I love “Butterflies” and the songs about her marriage and how happy she is. And now I see no wedding ring and read that she got divorced after a short marriage. Great.
Yes, the new album talks about that heartbreak and how they basically fell apart. They tried to make it work but couldnt, Golden Hour was an album about how truly happy she was in her marriage and how it was going great but Star Crossed is about them falling apart and the struggle that they just couldnt fix.
