    I have always loved the aesthetics of the D'angelico range of guitars.They sound wonderful too and the spec's and build quality are superb. The Atlantic and Brighton are class instruments. I'd love to own one someday. Great video Richard. Much love to you all brother.

    I love D'Angelicos, specially because of what you said of these being a mix between old and new, which is like 75% of my musical interest. These D'Angelico, Revered and some Music man/Sterling, absolutely love them.

    Just purchased a 2021 D'Angelico Atlantic Delux in Vintage Sunburst. Totally agree with your comments Richard about the string spacing, flatter fret board and every element of the guitar being 'top draw'. I purchased my guitar without playing it, but based on the descriptions in videos and on the web. For me the tone is fantastic and the playability is excellent. I can see myself buying another D'Angelico, so impressed with the quality of the guitar. I have owed guitars from many of the well known guitar companies but this is my favourite guitar by some margin. I cannot put it down and it makes me want to play more. Thank you for your review. Really good to see the detail you provide in your videos.

SO wonderful. Let me look into how many more we can get - as I would LOVE to demo this beauty - P90s are my favourite too.

    This guitar actually broke my heart. I picked up an open box Army Green version from GC and boy, it was a sharp. Had to get rid of it though because after it's first string change, it refused to hold tune. Figured it was some sort bad qc in the nut and didn't worry about returning it.
    Unfortunately it was not the case and after 3 luthiers became stumped, I figured it was a lost cause. I'm debating trying another though cause I really did love the feel of the guitar. Figure this time though I will buy new and hope the one I dad was just a bad seed (hence the open box). Just stinks that they don't make it in that green anymore.

      Is it the neck joint itself moving? I saw on another video the guy mentioned that you can use the neck as a tremolo so much and here as well, really doesn’t look secure in the pocket.

    Hi Richard, I'd love to see a demo of the Premier DC with the stairstep tailpiece, both red and blue versions of this look amazing in the pictures. Also maybe a size comparison with the mini version? Although you do lose that beautiful looking tailpiece. Does that tailpiece offer any advantages or disadvantages over the stopbar version? Aesthetically awesome though! Cheers.

    In my experience, the headstocks are prone to crack and the electrics go wobbly. I liked the looks but it was a full time job keeping the thing in tune.

    • @Mecha-ddafi
      @Mecha-ddafi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not mine. I go a week without tuning sometimes. I have a $1000 Charvel with Floyd Rose locking tuners and my D'angelico stays in tune better. Maybe I just got lucky obviously but so far so good

  • @jasonking2976

    That guitar looks really nice and sounds ok. It's interesting that they call it "premier" and put Grover tuners etc on it, then put on a plastic nut? Other manufacturers do this, and I will never understand it; sure, if the guitar is sub £300, but after that, the cost of putting on TUSQ, or something equivalent, is so marginal. Bewildering.

    • @RichardsGuitarshop
      @RichardsGuitarshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The specification blows away anything I’ve seen and what you didn’t highlight, is if you chose to change the nut I bet you wouldn’t notice any improvement and the benefits of the instrument far out way this preference you have. It is the lowest priced model in the range yet you focus on this detail rather than the myriad of benefits mentioned. For me - that’s equally bewildering! We all have our own preferences so I appreciate you it’s the nut over the others - but I see it as one tiny difference that maybe helps the differentiate between this and the next model up.

    • @jasonking2976
      @jasonking2976 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RichardsGuitarshop Fair enough. It was just an observation. I have changed plastic nuts to TUSQ on 2 of my guitars, and they certainly stay in tune better than they did with plastic. As you say though, it's not the end of the world, and can be changed easily enough. It probably wouldn't stop me buying one :) Thanks.
