    probably the most beautiful solid body guitars i've seen to date. outstanding designs. a pity this video got a mere 17k views. i enjoyed watching it again a year later. amazingly clean playing mate!

    That opening riff was so greasy and smooth. Guitars today are so original looking. Manufacturers today, that are worth anything, come up with some cool, original designs. Such a great time to be into guitars, and as far as price, there are things to collect and enjoy that are way more expensive than guitars. You get so much for your money these days.

    Christ, that Brighton model is an absolute piece of art. While I'm completely the opposite of you and love getting access to single coils, I can respect our difference of opinion there.
    Loved your playing in this man, if you felt inclined to rehome that Brighton let me know, there's a loving home for it here in the UK.

    I had a hard time understanding what color you said for the Brighton finish. It obviously looks reddish /sparkly of some sort. I couldn't locate it since it's discontinued. Was this out in 2020?

    I've played both models, and I find that the Deluxe Brighton has much brighter tones, (esp in the upper register) vs the Deluxe Atlantic, which I felt had duller tone. I don't want to say muddy as that is too strong a term, but if I said darker, than that would be to weak a term so perhaps somewhere btw those two ideas. For Korean guitar's these model's are pretty good. IMO I feel like the Premiere series are worth around 600 US $$$ and the Deluxe is worth around 1000 US $$$. They sell em for 300$$$ more than that. One man's opinion...
    AS an interesting aside. When I played the Brighton D. It had D'angelico strings on it (light wound jazz which have a wound G string, vs the deluxe atlantic which had regular d'addario strings, so maybe that had something to do with it. IDK.

      Not sure about this guitar specifically, but I have a Yamaha Revstar with the matte/steel wool finish and after a year there is no wear or blemishes, can see finger marks of your hands are greasy or dirty but that's it. Just seen a brighton on person today and the finish doesn't look that different

  • @jasonshrestha

    • @DearTime911
      @DearTime911 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      atlantic has more low and the brighton has high range stressed that's why brighton is named following its character I guess?

    • @emrage78
      @emrage78 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@emrage78 Regarding the Brighton and the Atlantic, there's really noticeably worse neck dive with the Brighton? You've had a chance to play both the Brighton & Atlantic?

    • @emrage78
      @emrage78 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dustinglass Yes, I tried both. The difference is in the body shape and the position of the neck side strap button. Look closely at both guitars: The strap button is at the 19th fret at the Brighton, and between 16th and 17th fret at the Atlantic model. That is why the Atlantic is better balanced.

    Great review Ross. I am deliberating between ordering the Brighton and the Eastman Romeo (which you also reviewed). Can you please compare the tonal differences and playability of the two. Which do you prefer?

    • @annarakannan6620
      @annarakannan6620 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eastman Romeo is at another level and price point. If you have the budget, I will take the Romeo at the drop off a hat. These pickups are made overseas with Seymour Duncan design and specs as agreed upon. They are not the same Seth Lovers you get from their website. I am sure they are almost as good. Romeo has original Lollars. Eastman Seymour Duncan are also original. In the end if you can play like Ross, all you need is a broomstick. 😀😀
