as a guitar player of 20 years, I picked up a D'angelico acoustic for the first time the other day in my local shop and was blown away by the price to performance ratio. it played like a guitar that costs 3x as much
I've been wanting to try out a few of the electric hollowbody, and acoustic but the local shop here deosn't carry them....I saw a demo on YT of a very modestly priced acoustic(like $299-$399?) and man it sounded GREAT!!
I am a bass player with my first paying gig in 1976 and I;ve played and recorded with all styles and every sonic genre These sound great compared to most I concur with your acessment 100%
D’Angelico. So under rated. One of the best and most beautiful guitars built today. The built quality is amazing on my Bob Weir Bedford Deluxe, it’s an absolute work of art and the tons are insane. You really should check them out.
I have a Brighton Premier. It's the only guitar I own & I got it because of the versatility. It can do all the styles & are so comfortable to play. Don't think twice.
They are lovely guitars and I was considering one of the lefty semi-hollows until a lefty 2012 Epiphone Sheraton II came my way and it is now my favorite guitar out of the 20 I own to play. It beats out my Gibsons and Schecters. If I hadn't found this Sheraton II I would have one of the lefty D'Angelicos.
The best new Blues sounding guitar that is priced within reason .I would love to hear the hear the bedford to soo if it would slide. I bet she could slide the blues just fine.
Bought a D'Angelico Premier SS in 2018 for 330 Euros. It was so good! They polished the frets nicely and the guitar looked and played great out of the box.
I know I have been one not to do so myself but I have been changing my ways because it's not that hard to hit the like button. I used to never hit the like button but I started noticing how many people don't take the time to hit the like button and I figured it isn't fair to the people working very hard to make these videos we all enjoy so much. So I make a self conscious effort to hit the like button on videos I really enjoy to support the channels I watch everyday. Honestly I used to get annoyed and loathed how the content creators would sound like they begging for likes but I totally construe it now because a huge majority of people don't hit the like button. Also a large amount of people watch these videos everyday but aren't even subscribered hence the reasoning behind Andertons having a giveaway when they hit a certain number of subscribers. After all if you find something captivating or entertaining , you keep coming back everyday to watch a certain channels videos than you obviously like them so why not support them with a like. Sorry for the rant it was just a keen observation I made while analysing myself with my daily internet usage. Trust me I was the worst offender on not liking anything LoL
I don't mind people asking us to hit like and subscribe but it's so annoying when they do it at the beginning instead of the end. How am I supposed to know if I like the video before I've even watched it?
I've got 2 d'angelicos amongst my numerous guitars and they both rock. I have a premier DC with p90s and a premier bedford sh; both semi hollow with the dc being like a 335 and the bedford sh being more like a tele thinline but in an offset. Surprisingly my d'angelicos are my go-to's for heavier tones, the hot p90s in the dc just scream and so do the pickups in the bedford

opening and closing jams were awesome! That tone of Pete's last riff sounded like an overdrive in front of my clock radio...didn't even know that was a thing. Lee seems way more comfortable these days and it shows. Love the SS LE, but not a fan of the big F-hole on the Bedford. Too big and gaping. As always, here for the banter and comedy as much as the gear! Cheers!

I played one and it sounded awesome but I hated the slim and flat neck. But I’m sure some people definitely love that but I just got some long fingies and felt a bit weird in the hand

That’s funny, I never thought about it so as soon as I got home I had to check. Standing I do not notice any neck dive. Sitting down, depending on how you have it on your leg maybe, but it is not anything that I have ever noticed or was conscious about. You saw how excited Pete got when he played it. It is a great guitar. One of the few guitars I have bought where the frets didn’t need to be leveled and the fret ends didn’t need attention. Plus, that is a great price. I unfortunately paid more for mine ($1699 USD) Maybe Andertons should give me a t-shirt but for selling you a guitar…

Definitely a surf green color imo and idk how fresh sage looks like when it's just picked or whatever but I know what it looks like when it's dried out and ready to burn. Which it's like a pale grey I guess it could have a hint of green sometimes. I have not seen it in years but my step dad who had a vast collection of I dian artifacts and arrowheads. Plus he was part indian so he would burn sage all the time. Yeah a matte or satin pale grey would be sage imo but I reckon it has different stages where the color of the sage would differ idk if there is different types of it though.
Good little jam as usual but I'm a have to steal that little loop melody and jam over it myself even though it's not how I usually play... I really dug it. I'm a heavy metal and a shredder so I would not normal look to buy this type of guitar but I really like the one Lee has ,.the captain Lee had great tone and I actually liked his one lick the best out of the whole jam.

I worry about D'Angelico because they seem to be ;ow-key liquidating. I got a really beautiful Premier for a song. They seem to be on sale everywhere. Regardless, these are great guitars. I love mine but I don't seem to be able to play like Pete :)
@@James-K I love it. And I was sort of right about this but mostly wrong. They did have a lot of back stock and b stock that they wanted to move out for their newer models. They discontinued the Premier that I have but I love it. It’s a versatile guitar and sounds great.

Get another paper route? I’m a disabled veteran and while I can get more disabled I can’t get more money for it. I’ve wanted a epiphone firebird for years and someday I’ll have enough saved, the neck pickup in those are sublime, sorry guess I got a little offended at get another job and I shouldn’t have. I will say that stacked P90 is almost making me 2nd guess my firebird, almost.
Lee's tone and vibrato control has always been good, but this has to be about the best it's ever been. Felt like quite a Joe Bonamassa solo.

These guitars are similar in their tones to the late 50s Gibsons and have all the beautiful craftsmanship of the Gretsch models.

The Captain is absolutely right. D'Addario, D'Angelico etc are Italian family names, and just like french, D'a is read as "Da"
