You said Ric Flair's contract expired but I'm pretty sure he was fired over creative differences when he famously rejected Jim Herd's proposal of cutting his hair and changing his name to Spartacus.
Famously rejected? 😂😂😂 He "famously" did cut his hair in that fashion. That was several months before. They couldn't agree on a contract so Flair left.
Maybe or have it where it can only be won in European Countries or won only by European Wrestlers at least that would make it sand out and be different
That deposit had nothing to do with WCW. Flair never paid the deposit anyway, Crockett did. And beyond that, Flair forfeited the deposit when he refused to drop the belt, which was the whole point behind the deposit in the first place. The deposit was an NWA thing, not WCW.
i forgot all about that one! that's a Beautiful championship imagine it on any other wrestler, like bret hart or savage, it be like big gold to them XD , i still would be curious to see the unused ECW title though
There was a huge heavyweight title belt designed specifically for Andre the Giant, if he decided not to lose at Wrestlemania III (he was so big and strong that if he decided he didn't want to lose, there was nothing anyone could do anything about it). Of course, it wasn't needed.
Usage of the Hogan ‘86 Belt was discontinued because Hogan complained the top half it would constantly dig into his abdomen when he wore it. So they reverted back to the previous design and no one was the wiser.
I had a chance to see the Rock's unused Brahma Bull championship belt on display during a Summerslam fan event before one of the LA shows, sometime in the early-2010s. It's honestly a beautiful title, I just think they could've done without the lightning accents on the face plate. The red in the eyes and the blowing smoke worked perfectly.
I'm mad as hell TNA actually had that beautiful world television championship belt and they never used it in TNA didn't have an international championship but they did have a a global championship which was essentially the same belt that was used for the Legends championship and the TV titles people would have taken that TV title more seriously if they had used a different title instead of repurposing the Legends championship
Did you forget the original NWA-TNA X Title was just a big ass X? I doubt they would’ve been sued over its similarity to the NXT title if they debuted the GFW X division title, cuz all Impact would’ve had to do was point out that they did the X title design first.
There was a moment years back when the draft ended and Raw at the time had both Champions on their show, the Smackdown decided to make their own Heavyweight Champion. I remember that they were about to reveal it then all of a sudden the current Heavyweight Champion switched to be on Smackdown. I believe they were naming it something like The Smackdown Heavyweight Champion.
7:35 you’re absolutely right, it does lack the filler that would make it whole but I love this design. I could go either way with the giant WWE logo that they love. I hate calling certain years in wrestling an “era” but this has to be from the infancy of the Ruthless Aggression era due to the logo. It’s the old scratch WWF logo which they kept for a bit after they changed to the WWE. Which to be honest I wish they would’ve never changed their name and kept it WWF. A lot of people don’t know that lawsuit was just for the UK. They only had to go by something else there but instead they decided to rebrand the whole company. They should’ve kept the WWF name, it was a much cooler abbreviation in my book.
I miss the old WWF European championship belt, and the early 1990's Intercontinental belt. That unused IC belt probably would have worked well in the 2000s.
@@viktorriquelme3735 I really think that would have worked. It had that late 1990's quality that ECW was able to use well and looked absolutely ridiculous in WCW.
I've always wondered what the Smackdown World Championship was gonna look like, Teddy Long had it in a bag in 2005 after John Cena and Batista was both on Raw, JBL won a 5 pack challenge to become the Smackdown World Champion, but Batista got drafted to Smackdown with the World Heavyweight Championship. I wish they would have at least showed the title.
Before you said anything about the NXT title that belt made me think of a gold version of the TNA NWA X division belt which had a big X like that in the middle with a red X they probably would have been sued but they probably would’ve brought that old belt up and might have had a leg to stand on
Crockett decided against putting 'NWA' on the big gold belt in case at some future point he wanted to leave or was forced out of the NWA. At this point Crockett wanted more control over the NWA title and didn't want to the follow the original NWA bylaws where the NWA board controlled who had the title. He had the Superstation and Flair was his guy, so the other members did capsulate because they didn't want to completely lose out on having Flair defend the belt in their promotion and not to mention losing on the chance to having their wrestlers occasionally appear on the Superstation. And also so that the more powerful JCP would not run shows against them in their territory. So Crockett not having the letters 'NWA' on the belt, was just in case the other NWA promoters called his bluff and kicked him out of the NWA which they could do per the bylaws. He basically told the other NWA promoters that they either do things his way or he will 'take his ball (access to the Superstation and Flair) and go home'.
7:31 I'd still choose this I.C Championship over the current one. Although I'd prefer the 90s I.C Championship with the modern WWE logo but not massively intruding like most of them are now.
The Rock should have introduced his Brahma Bull belt after winning his WWF Title back at Royal Rumble 1999 as a present from Shane McMahon to The Rock. Zack Ryder maybe should have introduced his version of the Intercontinental Title maybe with Ryder defeating The Miz at WrestleMania 29.
I like to belts with some unique shapes to them. I don't understand the perfect circle. The late 80's to early 90's was the best time for belt designs in WWF, for all 3 titles.
Not quite right about the big gold. Jim Crockett was the backer of getting that belt made and he is the one who vetoed having it say NWA, as many assumed he saw JCP leaving the NWA at some point. The NWA board was not involved with getting the belt made.
No shot i said nwo instead of nwa
More than once lol
A few times but it doesn’t ruin anything
Nah, of course you didn't. 🤫😉
Look on the bright side, It did become the NWO title belt.
Shit*
You said Ric Flair's contract expired but I'm pretty sure he was fired over creative differences when he famously rejected Jim Herd's proposal of cutting his hair and changing his name to Spartacus.
Your right
Famously rejected? 😂😂😂
He "famously" did cut his hair in that fashion. That was several months before. They couldn't agree on a contract so Flair left.
That TNA Television title was beautiful
Winged Eagle 2.0.
I think WWE should bring back the European title. I also think they should make the matches European round rules ala NXT Heritage Cup
I always thought that they should’ve brought that back when they had NXT uk
Maybe or have it where it can only be won in European Countries or won only by European Wrestlers at least that would make it sand out and be different
I'm surprised they haven't where they've been having so many overseas matches. Then again, there are quite a few belts already.
@@BenDelaney619 Yep, considering they do go to European countries for ppv's and raw/smackdown
Decent idea. But there are so many belts that I actually prefer the cup over a belt.
That Unused IC Title lools like it inspired the design of the current IC Title with the 2 globes beside the center logo.
Flair had the right to keep the belt, Refuse to pay back the deposit, the champ owns the title
Not gonna disagree with you, you either give me my money or it's my belt and I'll take it to Ring Of Honor... Hi Colt Cabana 👋🏾😅
That deposit had nothing to do with WCW. Flair never paid the deposit anyway, Crockett did.
And beyond that, Flair forfeited the deposit when he refused to drop the belt, which was the whole point behind the deposit in the first place. The deposit was an NWA thing, not WCW.
Rumor has it the Hogan 86 belt was scrapped because it was pressing too hard on Hulk’s little Hulkster
Hogan claims it dug into his stomach but I’m not gonna take his word for it 😂
The Intercontinental Championship pictured looks a hell of a lot better than the current title.
insane take
@@jaysteezy2 Not insane, just a fact.
Agreed
The Hogan belt has the same shape as the WCW 6 Man Tag titles and the mid 2010s ROH World TV title
They also had a King Of The Ring title.
That was a belt that Mabel had made for himself the year he won KOTR, it was never bought by wwf just a one off for Mabel’s own collection.
@@LuckyStrike01 Several years later
That ECW Title was actually going to be a 24/7 Hardcore Title for the ECW brand.
Funny how all these belts are better than every single one on tv now
You wish
The WWF also made a custom belt for the Undertaker at the same time as the Austin/Rock designs.
A custom belt not used was the Andre the Giant WWF title belt made to fit Andre. It was made prior to Wrestlemania III but obviously never used.
I remember Vince McMahon loaning that belt to Planet Hollywood for a lil' while.
i forgot all about that one! that's a Beautiful championship imagine it on any other wrestler, like bret hart or savage, it be like big gold to them XD , i still would be curious to see the unused ECW title though
It was used on TV in the weeks leading up to WM III, and eventually got releathered and was used in No Holds Barred.
That unused intercontinental championship needs a run back I think it looks cool just needs some edits and it’ll be perfect.
The shape of it reminded me of the Hogan mystery belt. I like it but something was missing in the middle
I loved this video and I would love to see a second part because I always fell in love with the mystery of unused belts
There was a huge heavyweight title belt designed specifically for Andre the Giant, if he decided not to lose at Wrestlemania III (he was so big and strong that if he decided he didn't want to lose, there was nothing anyone could do anything about it). Of course, it wasn't needed.
Shame, it was a beauty. I think they repurposed it for that movie No Holds Barred though, not sure.
If he "decided" to lose? 😂😂😂
It was never in question.
Usage of the Hogan ‘86 Belt was discontinued because Hogan complained the top half it would constantly dig into his abdomen when he wore it. So they reverted back to the previous design and no one was the wiser.
It's also why Big Gold 3.0 (used from 1993-2001) had a bent tip on the center plate.
I believe both stories about the rocks title are true. It got lost in the mail and that delay gave Vince time and he decided to not use it.
There wasn't really a delay, it never showed up. It eventually wound up in a private collection.
Shout out to the deleted WWF King of the Ring title!
That was a belt that Mabel had made, not a real title.
The NWA World Heavyweight Title was used it several house shows in 1985-86 before they went with the one used till WCW ended
Crockett had Crumrine remove the logo because Crockett was considering breaking away from the NWA.
3:15 he made it look similar to the old 1980’s version of the WWF Intercontinental Title. The one Randy Savage, Kerry Von Erich, Mr Perfect, etc held.
The Hogan belt was 1986 not 1996
I did as well 😂 Hogan was in WCW in 96. Bro’s script must’ve gotten dirty.
Did you not see the 1986 text onscreen when he said it correcting himself or maybe it was added in later and re-uploaded?
Ric used that tag inspired belt between the Crumrine and WWF titles for awhile.
''GET RID OF ALL THESE CURRECT WWE CHAMPIONSHIP AND BRING BACK THE OLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES!'' 😎😎😎
The European championship would been great if it came back
8:44 lives this video definitely gonna keep my eye out for more like this
Hey this is a great video. Really like the concept.
I hope some bootleg maker makes the cruiserweight tag team belts.
Not NXT BELT, that was the NWA TNA X division title just a little correction bro :) great video!
He didn’t say it WAS the NXT title, he said it LOOKED like it and they would prolly get sued 😂
That TNA mid-card title was also known as the Global Title when Eric Young had it during World Elite stable. Than AJ won it and it became TV title.
Have you seen the King of the Ring title? When Mable won, they were apparently going to use the belt, either instead of or with the crown
That's wrong. Mabel had it made himself to use on independent cards.
The Vegas Big Gold was absolutely class
4:34 Bro. I always thought the tag titles were ugly af but those name plates actually make me like them.
That ic belt looks like a sad old man with a unibrow and mustache lol

That TNA Legends belt went through hell. The strap was a bright red to start by the end it was a dirty burgundy color
Did you forget the original NWA-TNA X Title was just a big ass X? I doubt they would’ve been sued over its similarity to the NXT title if they debuted the GFW X division title, cuz all Impact would’ve had to do was point out that they did the X title design first.

I still remember playing WWE 2008 and beating Zack Ryders record for the internet championship
Welcome back Wick
They should take the European title, color the straps white, and make it a women's mid card belt
That Hogan belt looks like the old TNA tag titles.
The unified tag belts were on TV they used the legends belt as the TV belt
The Vegas Big Gold was also used on an episode of Nitro.
These videos would kill with some light backround music
Will add some in next time
The Hogan pic belt was most definitely on tv. Ive seen it on the network and the pic of him wearing it is a tv match.
Even the plates were models for various championships
Yeah, it was used on a Spectrum show that aired.
I’d say the picture belt of Hogan would’ve worked better on Piper had he won the belt.
Wow I never knew that about the tag title 🔥🔥
OHHHHHHHHHH Damn Jinder Mahal getting shrapnel
Fun fact: WWF at the time made 2 Brahma bull belts, one has either the rock or wwe and the other, I know him, sick belt collector!
someone should make a Replica of Edge's Intended Belt design by The Man Himself.
It looks hideous no wonder why management didn't liked his idea!

Putting the NWA lettering onto the big gold make sense than without it ( without the lettering that belt beyond to any wrestling company )

I think ludwig kaiser, if he would to ever win the U.S title someday, he would bring that WWE modern EU title design to TV.
Hogan had the most versions starting with the WWWF world to the winged eagle I think it's around 5 with the one you mentioned here maybe 6.
The Hulk 86 belt would hurt your DingDing when you walked with it on.
The gfw title looks more like the og tna x division title
I could be wrong but wasn't there a yellow winged eagle title Ultimate Warrior had that was never used?
Take a shot every time this guy says "iconic"
A lot of these "content creators" sound ;like they're reading a book report.
Good video, I enjoyed it. Any chance you will make a part 2?
Going to be coming soon
Why don't you just sell all the unused belts
The European and IC title 💯💖
No Bret vs Shawn
Hogan vs Flair
Kane vs Undertaker

I think they recently during the rock and roman vs cody feud had rock come out carrying a modern brama bull title dont quote me
Yes so they are calling that the peoples championship

U got an impressive belt collection for sure. You live near the Connecticut area by any chance?
The tna grand championship was suppose to be the world title

The TNA TV title should’ve been their World title the red belt was the best in the game at the time
I agree
The Hogan '86 title also has a wrong italian flag... it's red, white and green instead of green, white, red.
ok but why you gotta hate on the Internet Championship in the thumbnail?
