Hi i know this is alot to ask but id like if most of the champion spotlights be updated as alot of new updates have upcome.
tbh I can understand why people think shes op, she can essentially ult twice in teamfights. The way to beat her is to completely shut her down early game. She has so many counters in lane its not even funny, abuse that. all it takes is one good team fight for her to come back into the game. If you know what you're doing you can easily win against her. I main her so I know when to jump in or not, her ult is to do the most damage and then set up her passive where she continuously jumps on the rest of the team. No need to nerf her, they've already done that multiple times. They just buffed her ult, cc her while she does that and she won't do much in teamfights

Easy said that done, the only way to defeat a good katarina is to have tank with you as old kat will literally kill you instantly before you can even react.

Katarina was my first main champion when I was a noob in 2013, I remember Scarra saying that she was his favorite champion at that moment... Then the rework comes and she died... Yeah, now you can use her and get a few kills but, the actual kata isn't even the shadow of the old... Forever in my heart old kata ♥️... (I really miss this old days when league was more fun)...

God, I miss this Kat. My first main (she still is actually) and my first pentakill.
One of the summoner spells, i believe it was unlocked at summoner lv12.
Teleports you a few yards to the direction of your cursor; can be used to cross terrain. Excellent as a gap closer or helping you escape.

This is very helpful. It gives me ideas on how to play her better. I fell in love at first use. The very first champion i used. She's quick and sneaky good for assasinating

Katarina was probably the best purchase I have ever made in LoL. She got me my first penta and in s4 I've been having massive success with the DFG build Scarra uses a lot. She is relatively easy to play, but really mastering her and knowing how to carry teamfights takes a lot of practise. I definetely recommend her to people who want to try a flashy, high speed assassin! And as CouilleBleu (AKA xChinNin) would say: 'Great success!'

I mastered Katarina and used to main her. For me the best skill sequencing is maxing Sinister Steel first for minion kills and best finishing move then Bouncing Blade for harrassing and dealing more additional magic damage and lastly Shunpo for escape and closing the gap purposes only. Everytime I do that skill sequence, i get triple-quadra kills everytime in pvp. That's all, just sharing my knowledge and experience :) GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

the nostalgia of watching every single champion spotlight, discovering new amazing champions, thinking about when will i buy them, reading guides for hours and hours, and never getting tired about learning to play the game...
and now riot makes 5 champs per year... i feel like the "15 new things per day" i had when i started playing is dead, which makes me feel kinda sad :(

As Katarina main from S2, I will miss this, but I gotta admit - she was boring and succeeding with her wasn't making you feel unique or rewarded. The new Kat is kinda the same but in the same time feels more rewarding, tricky and stimulating to master her once again. R.I.P Kat 2010 - 2012 ; R.I.P Kat 2012 - 2016. Welcome again Katarina !

She is a little difficult for me from playing Ashe to Katarina. Different gameplay style but when I started to get used to it, she is a fearsome character...Mastering her= OP.

Old Katarina can actually do that, people had been screaming for a rework because her abilities were just too overloaded.

One think I must admit Freak's abilility to 'see through' the teamfights. Mostly al players just do some random abilities in teamfights due t all the spell particles splashing around the players in the 5v5 mid battle and the players see a rainbow in the screen (LoL!). Even with the slow motion and Phreak's explanation I couldnt get a thing hahaha.

2:04 Yep everyone knows katarina does nice early damage. With her 60 damage q and 40 damage w she can outdamage a riven! Those are actual level one values on her skills btw.

I need to get Kat eventually. Simply because I absolutely LOVE playing as Master Yi, mostly because of his simple yet effective gimmick: Kill streak. "Hey look I killed someone! Hey look I killed 3 people! Hey look, wait, where's the enemy team?" (PENTAKILL!)
Kat is basically Master Yi in Mage form.
Lol Katarina is nothing like Master Yi at all, not even in mage form
If anyone, i'd say she's like akali
The q both add extra damage when consumed, akali's e and kat's w both damage surrounding enemies, and they both have "dashes". This is skillwise however. In terms of mechanics, they are both very different as well.
if you want another master Yi like champion go for Fiora

Well, when I said similar playstyle, I mean they don't both have the same way of fighting, but they both have similar priorities.
Wait for the hard CC to drop, locate and drop the lowest health target to get your cooldowns back then rinse and repeat.

Old Kat required just as much skill lmao. The only difference being that the Dagger mechanic looks aesthetically harder. You're just spamming Shunpos now, instead of spamming W.

I feel like the new Kat is just slow... she having to wait the dagger to land makes you loose team fight damage since you need to act quickly in those situations. I had no problems with her before, not in the early, the mid neither the late game, but now I think that she has lost a lot of her team fight cleaning abilities that was the most fun of playing with her...

Yi, in that he and Kat are what I call the Killstreak champions. One kill leads to another, leads to another, you just have to be patient and selective about your first kill. Usually a squishy that you can crush really quickly for cooldowns and more time in Highlander.

ok so this has been pondering me for a while now, Kats ults, lets say its does 900 damage to the nearest 3 enemy champs. if there is only 1 enemy champ near does that person receive 1/3 of the damage? or does it do all of the 900 damage? thanks

i play alot of kata and i recommend going q first for the poke then w then e and max w first as it scales with ap and ad then max q then e

Lol.. why would you max one of the weakest abilities in the game first? Especially when you are going mid Q max is a must if you want any chance of trading safely with most of the meta mid laners right now. W forces you to get in melee range of the enemy which makes you more prone to ganks that even shunpo can't save you from
that explains y i won my lane 9/1 and won the game 28/10 when i maxed my w first :/ i play VERY agressive when i mid lane
yes and you prob fight people who dont know how to take advantage of one of THE weakest laners in the game.. not trying to say you're bad but katarinas laning is horrible
I started playing lol in september 2017 and since then i have been main kata... new kata... the old one is so different, especially her q and w lol
How fun leauge was . She refreshed her abilities on a kill . Now its only 10 seconds , but most of the abilities are like 15 seconds .
When tf they changed that? Lol kata always could use every ability except ult after each kill
