Played Shen today expecting to be disappointed cause he was one of my favorite champions for a long time. Surprisingly I really enjoyed him and hes very fun, tons of outplay potential and plenty of ways to save team mates still.
My thoughts exactly. Had a blast playing him today, and won most of my games with him.

+AJFilms Have you played it? The PBE forum has been full - literally CRAMMED FULL - of people begging them to revert this shit, with no evidence that anybody has read a word of it. The sword feels more like you're dragging a big dumb rock behind you, he now has no way to farm at range, he doesn't have any guaranteed damage reduction when he uses E, and worst of all, that sword that you have to focus on forever has next to no actual impact.
Visually he's great, but this is the worst gameplay rework since... well, since anyone. This is gonna be worse-received than Karma and Cassiopeia combined.

Dan610XX Presumably because his W makes him flat-out immune to the enemies he taunts, but...
1) You'd need to either E into your sword, or use QW immediately after, which requires something like 300 energy
2) W doesn't block abilities or on-hit effects so god help you if you taunt Kog'maw
3) His cooldowns are ridiculously massive aside from his Q, which doesn't actually provide any tank stats and will drain your energy pool really fast.
Pretty much all of his tankiness comes from his passive now, which is neat and all but you have to be hitting enemies or allies constantly for it to be effective... and his kit doesn't make that easy or even rewarding anymore.

Sion rework took a little under 2 years to complete and you have to remember that alot of people to work to update one champion. Gameplay, illustrators, voice actors, sounds, content creators... Etc. I get that you want things right away but like the saying goes "It takes time to look this good."

Warwick, Urgot, Yorick, Singed, Galio, Nunu, Rammus, Swain, Cho Gath and Aatrox could use some reworking too. But nah, we need another champion that copies the skills of already existing ones add to the game.
A lot of champions aren't even viable anymore and it's a stupid thing that Riot only wants to focus on the top tier players because the game just isn't fun anymore unless you go full not give a fuck mode.
I have no fun trying to play seriously in this game anymore.
Especially when compared to Heroes of the Storm. Their jungle actually does something besides give being a supplier of resources. Their turrets/keeps actually do something. Not just one flimpsy turret that just stands there.
If I were Riot I'd focus on reworking champions and bringing more balance to the table. Trying to solve a few problems regarding toxic play, like Zed. It's just not fun to play against him. You step close to try and farm and boom, you're half hp from full by just a shadow double Q and spin in less than a fucking second. A champion like Vel'koz can't keep up with that because he actually has to hit several skillsshots, has no mobility and isn't AD based thus doesn't get the "Riot Attack Damage privilege Seal of Approval". On top of having more ranged on his abilities zed can also jump to his shadow? If he misses his abilities he can still deal good enough damage with auto attacks. If Vel'koz misses his abilities he's a fucking sitting duck with nowhere to run...
Paladin Leeroy I tried explaining it to you as to why they take a long time getting new stuff out, apparently you still cant grasp the idea of how a business is run. Fun fact: The founders of Riot Games Brandon Beck & Marc Merrill don't add or input any new content to the game, they simply approve the stuff that gets put out or not. Riot is a GLOBAL company made up of thousands and thousands of employees who all have their own input as well. Don't expect to things run your way. Also, this goes back to "You can't make everyone happy." Me, personally I have no problems laning against Zed, because I've learned the match ups, I've learned how to counter him and play against him. You know what was real toxic play?? Tristana with a DFG, a supposed ADC can blow you with a DFG abilities and 2 abilities, how the fuck was balanced? It wasn't and so they fixed that "toxic game" play.. Same thing with Veigar, now it's easier to dodge his Stun, so he doesn't just blow you up with a DFG and his Ult when you have no AP. Same shit with Master Yi, his Q would scale off AP & he would heal for ridiculous amounts of HP, they fixed his toxic play. And as for Vel'Koz I'm not sure if you read the Red Post, but in the most recent interview that's what they will be focusing on this year "immobile mages" Again if you can't handle patience with Riot, I highly suggest that you never marry or have children.

Yes and I am glad they fixed that but the game doesn't feel balanced at all, last season was the same thing. I'd just think that i'd be a better thing to focus on the balance of a game so that all players may enjoy the game equally instead of a handful because their playstyle is being supported by Riot or their playstyle is currently the best thing in the game.

It's extremely difficult, because guess what? That little change you make in game, is going to AFFECT EVERY SINGLE PLAYER, and you know very vell that millions and MILLIONS of people play this game. For example with what 20,000 people will like, 200-400 of them may not and you know what? Riot is more than happy to accomplish that, now imagine that on the MILLIONS scale? It's pretty overwhelming, but you wouldn't know that since you're not put under that type of pressure. Me, personally, I'm happy in the direction Riot is taking their game. Yes what they do takes time, but shit I'd prefer them to take their time and consider all options regarding gameplay, updates, balacing etc.. before making a final decision on what gets put out in the game.

Shen was the first of the Ninjas I bought, and the fact that they finally took the time to give him a viable rework to where he will see more play is amazing to say the least.
