How To Install a Magura Hydraulic Clutch on a Yamaha Banshee

When you're riding your Banshee holding on for dear life, you don't want to have any unnecessary arm pump or strain on your body. Installing the Magura Hydraulic HYMEC Clutch is a great way to improve your all around riding experience. So in this video, Wes shows us how to install this clutch on a 1999 Yamaha Banshee. The steps shown here will be very similar for all Banshee's but check with your owners manual to be sure.

Yea, could have measured it with the calipers after the initial install and determined exactly many washers he needed.

I meant the design of the part not the method in which he installed it. There should be some sort of threaded nut or something like that. Just stack a bunch of washers just doesn't feel professional.

i put a rubber glove over the intake when i take my carbs off . it snap right on

I have a older model clutch, maybe one of the original ones from 2007. Very universal type system and the clutch lever hits the on/off light switch which prevent the handle from being pulled in all the way.

I had a banshee before and the clutch was an absolute pain to pull.. Lubed cables and clutch adjustments help but its still a tough pull.

Lockout clutch MAY also make it not be able to shift near or at wot without letting off the throttle for a little while unless you have an overide.

Slave cylinder should be stationary !
If it wiggles or vibrates it will wear !
When it packs with mud it becomes stationary-ish
But will still wear !
The hydraulic clutch should have collets or cups to extend cylinder length from bracket !
