Just did a 50 mile hard enduro on my 2008 crf450r yesterday. My clutch hand was fried at around 30 miles and everything went down hill from there. Just purchased the Magura today and I’m hoping it’s exactly what I needed
Installed clutch 2008 CRF 450, it pulls the arm by the motor but not enough to engage the clutch? Any way to adjust it? What am i doing wrong or did I get a bad one?
My 07 crf450r's clutch is so hard to pull and won't fully engage. Its not running right now but it shouldn't not be able to fully engage the clutch and it makes it where it's hard to roll. Its not sticky though
For this specific bike you dont show how to adjust the free play on the dolly block. I cant find a video on this and the instructions from Magura rival an IKEA table. Do you have any information on the free play adjustment for this exact model?
Hello, as I live in Europe, and the hydraulic oil is classed as Dangerous good, so it is impossible to be shipped, is there a way to order the clutch system without any oil (I guess I can buy it from here)? Thank you for your answer, Marco
so i installed this on my 2017, i have to remake the holder since the hydraulic clutch hits the screws or my cable hits the holder, but it does feels ALOT lighter when i pull the clutch
My 2017 crf 450 mounted the same way as this. I had to fab up from a piece of aluminum sheet metal a protective cover over the slave cylinder. While racing one time slave cylinder end broke off where the threaded end barrel screwed on from contact in a corner. This resulting in fluid loss and no clutch
@@matthewmartin1552 in my opinion yes. With this it doesn't matter how stiff your clutch springs are the magura lever stays nice, smooth and easy to pull
Hello, I have a question for the slave cylinder. It really tough and hard to push and pull the piston, do you have any solutions for it? I do appreciate your help
How does the hot start lever work is that stock or does that come with the new hydraulic clutch kit ? I am asking this question because I have a 2018 CRF 450 R wondering how this hot start, does it apply to my bike? Also wondering how does this add-on performance compared to the newer 2022 that has a factory hydraulic clutch system ?
I had a 2013 crf 450 and the magura manual that came with mine reads grab end of slave cylinder with your fingers and pull back. Until you feel resistance. There gap between mount and cyl barrel should be 4/6 mm. My kit included washer shims. It's a pain In the ass getting a hand in there but is doable.
that's exactly what I thought the manual says 7 ft lbs when you put the cylinder head on, and now they want 87. lol I had an 8mm bolt break at 12ft lbs
Not smart these bikes don't have actually hydraulic clutch for a reason . adding it on a bike that didn't come with it from factory is just asking for more problems down the road
A conclusory statement based on ZERO evidence given. As Egbert Wadman requested: EXPLAIN IN DETAIL (or STFU--I added that last part, as he's too much of a gentleman to do so, apparently).
Would've been nice if you measured the pull force before and after

well.. was it?
@@redpepper007 I wonder...
Well? Update us for Fk sakes!
Can u get a replacement lever that swings back closer to the handlebars ..the stock one sits too far out for me to grab easy by one finger

same problem, wondering if you found a fix

Which Hydraulic clutch do you recommend for the 2020 crf450r ?
A have a question? Whic magura clutch ist this? Can I put it on my kawasaki kxf450 2017?
Yes, these are available for your bike. You can check them out here: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/magura-hydraulic-hymec-clutch-p
Can the levers be replaced with ASV levers?
Yes, as long as you get an ASV lever meant specifically for the Magura hydraulic clutch.

The hot start comes with carburator bikes

Having to ship mine back to magura cause something is messed up out of the box
Do you guys know how to check free play on a 2012 crf450r as the slave pretty much butts up to the case.

Thank you mate. I was given one but no spacers. Did you end up putting many spacers in
@@jonesy_7368 from what I remember I added two shim disks to it. I don't remember 100% though sorry.
Do they make one for a 2018 Suzuki RMZ450 ?
Unfortunately, we only carry that for the 2018 RMZ250.
Would this fit a xr650l
do you guys make one for a yfz 450 2012?
yea there's one
can you put a protaper break away lever on this hydraulic clutch?
This clutch system requires a lever specifically designed for the Magura 167 master cylinder.
First comment, great video! 😃
what about a 2019 CRF 250RX?
Too bad the push rod keeps coming out of mine 😑
weld it shut
87 inch pounds? have fun with an easy out on that 8mm bolt lol

Mtb Ridingog manufacturers use cable clutches just because they are cheaper
