Yaesu FT-450D Mic Test Comparison: MD100a8x vs. Stock MH-31a

Test of transmitted audio from Yaesu FT-450D (as received on an FT-950) in DX conditions -- a comparison between the MD100a8x, at various settings, vs. Stock MH-31a (FF to 4:13) that came with the radio. The two ops are DV3XUK in Angeles City, Philippines, and HL1ZIX in Seoul, Korea. Distance is about 1600 miles (2573km), or equal to about half the distance across the USA. DV3XUK has a 2-element homebrew 15m yagi, and HL1ZIX is running a 1/4 wave 40m vertical on 15m (5 stories up, on the roof). HL1ZIX is receiving the audio on his FT-950, and the sound is recorded on an LG cell phone, as heard from the external speaker of the FT-950. Apologies, I forgot to ask for the MH-31a switch setting on the back to be changed, as a part of the test.
