If you want a ProTune Street reference, I paid $450/avg for all mine so far here in WI. I plan on going for Stage3 and + tunes with a different one who only does Dyno, and for 2 MAP tunes (91+10% Eth, and E85) would be $850, on a Mustang Dyno. These are both very reputable and professional tuners (and one COBB certified) here in WI. Just different styles, and can see it here for me in this case. Doesn't make one better than the other, just really which direction you yourself want to go and are comfortable with in your build.

I wouldent suggest one, I would stay on a BPV. Ive made a few videos covering why in depth but without being in speed density there's no point in running one and will still create a lean condition after getting off throttle
Downside of dyno tune is price. Gotta pay the shop and hope to god your tuner can be done in an hour. Then you gotta pay the tuner extra money for a remote dyno tune depending who your tuner is. For me I was looking at 800 plus. So yea I did a e-tune.
How is the e tune working? I’ve been thinking of going this route but other people say a dyno tune is the way to go. Mine is a daily and I don’t plan on tracking it or anything just wanted to throw some bolt ons on it for more power but want reliability as well because I rarely ever drive it hard. They read diffrent most of the time and a mustang dyno tends to read a little lower than a dynojet so I feel as if it gives a better representation of power numbers
I’ve always wondered... if you got tuned for flex fuel tune do all the following tunes require you to be tuned on both 93/e85? Trying to see if it’s more cost effective to make the flex fuel tune be the last mod, especially if you have to pay flex fuel tune prices for every tune.
So its a 93 tune first to set a base line with the mods then the E85 is added to it to set the tune and you can seap fuel at whatever % you like. If suggest doing it sooner
Another awesome video. Do you think Cobb ots stage 1+ is MORE reliable than e tuners like Bren tuning as an example? Looking for reliability and longevity.
So if I’m putting on a turbo back exhaust on the WRX my two options to getting it to the tuner are to trailer it or they give a base map to drive it there?

Honestly it's beyond worth it. I'm on my first WRX, actually my first time modifying a street vehicle that's not a diesel truck. I ran Cobb's OTS stage 3 map for a few months. Found an etune that was on sale for $250 so I went for it. Even the base map performed noticably better than the OTS map. I'm now 9 revisions into the tune and I can honestly say the car is considerably quicker, smoother, and happier than on the OTS map. I'm a believer. I'd say going from OTS to etune made a bigger difference than anything else I've done to the car engine-wise.

Heard good things about Ambott 🔥😁
First...? Also again, I see video, I automatically hit like
First! 🔥😁
going through hell with my tuner/builder, going through a warranty and they are trying push me out of th4e warranty period
Ooooof, its a hard choice to make. But I'm always full send lol have to pay to play 😖🔥
@@Smeedia mate im sooooo damn close to going to fair trading, they are being absalut wankers.
Soon as they fix the clearances, im going elsewhere.
And these guys are supposed to be #1 in Australia
Dyno tune only way to go. My 2016 wrx has thin rods, so going WOT regularly would have killed it without protune. No substitute
Protunes are much much better 🔥
Good info , a pro-tune is expensive , if it's cheap I'd be suspicious ! We only have one tuner in 500 miles and he could ask for you're first born cause there's nobody else , cost me $800+++++ !
Not cheap but well worth it over an OTS Tune 🙏
you have a twin?
Waiting on phatbotti to get his dyno fixed ... lol
Hopefully its up and running soon 🔥🔥🔥
Phabotti is trash. Go to YimiSport. Paul is a mad scientist when is comes to Subis. Ron's tune lasted a couple of months before my car started giving me problems. Spent more money at Yimisport but I got 475 whp. Ron refused to go over 375.
What mods/tune? And what kind of problems?@@Omar-xg3lm
Could you pin 📌 to the comments some links for the tuners you recommend 👍
PRE Racing, English Racing, Surgeline tuning, Josh Bader 🔥

STIMIKEY BOTTI TUNE FTW
Had no clue it was so expensive
Paying for the experince 🔥
Honestly it's beyond worth it. I'm on my first WRX, actually my first time modifying a street vehicle that's not a diesel truck. I ran Cobb's OTS stage 3 map for a few months. Found an etune that was on sale for $250 so I went for it. Even the base map performed noticably better than the OTS map. I'm now 9 revisions into the tune and I can honestly say the car is considerably quicker, smoother, and happier than on the OTS map. I'm a believer. I'd say going from OTS to etune made a bigger difference than anything else I've done to the car engine-wise.
Ooooooooo
OUUUUUUUU
Remote tunes are only going to be as good as the logs. A lot of people take really shitty logs lol
can someone actually tune your chip and they live another state and cant up the obd1 up and see the reading they just going by the information you gave them of what you got in your car...i would think its hard to get the chip burn correctly especially the frist time..the reason i ask you that because im having that problem now..
All your doing is data logging the information via the OBDII port through the ECU. Has all the info the tuner needs 😁
