    This is the last of a series of Workspace demos/walkthroughs. I really want to vibe with yall about gaming and entertainment too! As always thanks for watching!!!
    Can you tell what changed from the beginning of the video to the end?
    What can I say you all were right! Don't forget to like and subscribe
    A few things:
    Yes there is an option of using a Whiteboard but I didn't capture that. My bad.
    I couldn't get the webcam to work but it works the same as Horizon Workrooms, others will see your cartoon avatar.
    I couldn't show you telepresence but people in the same room with headsets can work together. EPIC!!!

    I use a portal behind my head. It allows a passthrough mode almost like the game. Furthermore, it allows me to look behind when someone knocks at my door, without having to go to full mixed reality. At first, it was just a rectangle window, but I turned it into a 3D orb direclty behind me because sticking your head through it is so much cooler. 😂

    Nice review; very useful thanks.
    Does it offer screen sharing with others in the collaborative spaces? Because it would be useful to do that with work colleagues.
    BTW, I'm currently just using Guacamole VNC (remote desktop in the browser.) I only get the 3 screens available on the default meta quest menu, on the other hand i can work like this in any app or in the default 'home' space.
    I tend to work in BigScreen or VR Chat (which has loads of environments to choose from, of course).
    But working this way doesn't let me share my screen with other colleagues online - hence my question.

      @TheConstruct_VR  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes actually you can share in a meeting room that I point out here 10:49
      In v67 in the main quest OS you can use more than 3 windows. You’ll need to go to settings > experimental features and turn on new window layout. I talk all about it here :

      @@JJ-gq6sf no prob, I can’t remember if you can share 3 at a time but you can certainly share one. You’ll love the new window layout in the new versions. The only drawback back is that there’s no solid Remote Desktop option to use in the stock OS. They do have a desktop mirror app but is very limited functionality and requires you to still use the mouse and keyboard on the desktop/laptop itself, you can’t be far away from it. This is definitely outdated now because the devs have now deprecated using physical monitors, forcing users to disconnect their already physically connected monitors. It makes it a bit more cumbersome of a setup but I can see some good use cases out of it if you want to keep your space clean.

    Immersed is good, but I'm a huge fan of virtual desktop. The stream quality is just say and night. I can play games with a decent quality with VD, while immersed just reduce the quality so much it makes ridiculously bad.

    • @TheConstruct_VR
      @TheConstruct_VR  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Virtual Desktop beats everything. It just doesn’t have the collaboration features that this has. If you don’t want multiple screens or shared workspaces then VD is as good as it gets. AND it passed your keyboard and mouse through to the remote machine. That team over there is killing it.

      @@James-n5b8j wirelessly it’s effortlessly better screen quality. You can get crispy screens in immersed too by setting the resolution appropriately . But for example the clarity in virtual desktop was just great without me having to tinker with anything. I think both suffer when you make the screens too large and stretch out the pixels.
      USB in immersed is likely fine or just as good as VD. I think VD is better for other reasons outside of screen clarity. Like porting the mouse and keyboard connected to your headset back to the desktop. That alone makes virtual desktop a better wireless choice, if that’s your need.

    I do not feel like Horizon Workrooms is even CLOSE to what Immersed does. Immersed is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than Horizon workrooms IMO. Then again, I am Windows PC. Not Mac. So that probably explains a LOT of why I amgetting better features/experiences I am getting over Horizon Workrooms.

      I think the gamification is the only way out. People need to make money for their app or get data from your usage and offer it for free”free”
