I'm very familiar with everything Al has done over his long and magnificent career. I would say that this composition is the most "Rock" thing Al has ever done, especially right after Anthony Jackson's brief bass solo riff. I love it!
Saw this tour at arie crown theatre Chicago....i was a fifteen year old guitar player in 5th row who kept standing up cheering and waving my fist in the air while the rest of the sophisticated audience sat more quietly....great freakn show!!...gadd, Jan, and Jackson are beasts....still have pix
I wasn't at that, or any other, performance that any one these guys played at. Am feeling sorry for 'self, been big fan long time, feeling sorry for 'self ( in case didn't understand first time ) booflippinhoo it just won't do, so there.
I watched "Radio with Pictures" music show religiously every Sunday night 9:30pm back in NZ. Three songs from this concert played, it changed my universe in an instant. I had never seen Anthony Jackson before, a 6-string electric bass or an extraordinaire play so effortlessly with a pick. A popular Wellington pop radio station even played Anthony's bass solo part during their breakfast show the next morning. This album in my mind as a 15-year old kid, was legendary, Anthony Jackson even more so.
What a treat to watch the energy. It's glorious and like watching some of the old rock bands. I used to listen to this song on the old record player when I was a kid, and to finally see a video of this more than 30 years later is just breathtaking.
I was a show at the savoy ,it was with Simon Phillips on drums, Philippe Saisse on keyboards & killer xylophone , Anothony Jackson on bass & a few others. Anyone remember that??
I loooove this track sooooo much i was 12 when first listened to it i'm 31 now still finding so much secrets and techniques in it and the best thing nostalgia, love you guys thanks Al Jan and everyone you are Legendes

I was at this show in Manhattan. Can’t recall the venue, the Savoy?? I was in a table center right and Al and Jan gave an amazing performance!

Masters at the peak of their game.
Great post. Thanks. Now we need the rest of this footage! Surely it must have been the whole concert.
