    You deserve a ton more followers mate. I have just watched about 20 reviews on this mic before I finally pull the trigger, and your review was the only one where you actually did a proper real world crowd test and a test with background music etc., great job!

    The size of it and all the functions for different scenarios are great. One thing I would avoid like any other microphone is the Noise Cancelling. It does distort the voices when it’s trying to do its job, rather do it in post👍🏻 Great straight to the point review 👍🏻

    Talk about perfect timing for a video coming out! I've been trying to decide between this one & the ECM B-10 & ECM B1M. This video helped a ton, especially since I do the majority of my filming at Disney & Universal parks. I watch so many review videos on camera gear and it's very rare to find one that uses the exact scenario I'm looking for! So, I can't thank you enough for an awesome review. I really like that I could capture more audio with this mic. I film at the parks with other people quite often and I don't want to wear a wireless mic, but I still want to pick up what everyone is saying. One question, the image you had up on the screen of the dials on the mic, they don't match any of the photos I've seen of the mic, am I missing something there?

    ECM-B1M vs M1
    Which one is better?
    B1M has 8 microphones and 3 pick up patterns.

    Which one is better in sound?
    Which one would you buy/keep?

    I’m shooting with an A7rV, which has a headphone port for monitoring AND an audio-in port. When using this mic with the A7RV, can I still monitor audio-in using a headset plugged into the A7RV? When using this mic, can I also plug in i.e. a Rode wireless go mic into the audio-in port on the camera to allow for another audio source to the mix?

    • @KyleWattsTV

      I posed the question on the Amazon page that sells this Sony product. This was the reply I received apparently from a Sony representative.
      “You are able to use the 3.5mm audio jack with this mic at the same time. Keep in mind when the external mic is connected the ECMM1 will default to analog audio and both microphones are will be using CH1 and CH2, Channels 3/4 will be unavailable."

    You have the zv-e1 at universal, and I do videos at universal and disney down here in florida, have you noticed any overheating with the zve1 at the park? I know the videos about the mic, which is looking good (I use the B1M but the front and back directional option seems fantastic). I'm really interested in knowing about the heating situation with the zve1, though, if you used it for awhile while doing this video, if you can let me know!

      We filmed for 3 days over the Fourth of July weekend which was 98 degrees (115 heat index) and we didn’t even see the heat warning symbol. We were even filming a bunch of 4k 120fps and still no issues

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas ปีที่แล้ว

      @KyleWattsTV awesome! I've been hearing all the warnings about it, but I'd be shooting 4k60, pretty much anywhere from 30 second to maybe 3 minute long segments for the most part. But I didn't know if having the camera in the direct heat for long periods could be a problem. But that's promising to know you had no issues! Still debating if I want to wait for the A7C II or A7CR even. But I feel like for video work, the zv-e1 probably would be better. Either way, appreciate the content! Look forward to seeing more insight from your channel!

    I only listened to the first five minutes and then gave up. Decent review, but important testing parameters were left out. The biggest was the how far you were from the mic. Without that it is difficult to determine how effective the mic was. Also, the video should have been shot from the side with two tripods - one for the camera with mic and one for the camera taking the video. That would allow viewers to evaluate the mics effectiveness.
