When Doug Hele first launched the Daytona winning bikes, 90bhp was the headlines on the front page of Motor Cycle News, I recall quite clearly. Whatever the figure was, it was enough back then. Road machines supposed punched out 60bhp. Again, powerful enough for bikes a full hundred weight less than the bikes with the full kitchen sink added on.
That's brilliant hp. Can you share engine specs please? And rpm? I've dynoed my BSA twin once and it was 14.8-1 the richest it got :( which would have taken the shine off it. I had no alternative main jets, so it was a bit pointless messing with the ignition timing. That triple sounds really good.
Hiya, sorry i didn't get back to you before, never got the notification for your comment Unfortunately I dont have the dyno sheets so i can't tell you exactly but it reached max HP at around 8100rpm, give or take, its a standard 750cc (hoping to bore to 780!) With Keihin carburetors, usually ran on avgas or classic race fuel, though if i remember correctly it performed a tiny fraction better with avgas
Seeing the dyno reading would have been interesting.
Wow that was a really impressive figure🙄
I dont exactly know what you're trying to prove...
