My favourite sounding bike of all time .. will never forget as a lad watching Alex George absolutely reving the bag out of one at Caldwell park at a CRMC meeting, when the big bike race still had some serious men, George, Peckett, Davenport... Great days
This video and sound is magnificent. To me there is just no beating the sound of a 3 cylinder four stroke on song.....hair raising! Excellent riding too. Thanks
Wicked sound from that Trident! My Brother in Law had a Rickman Trident, 3 into 1 and Letterbox fairing. I remember watching the first Transatlantic series at Oulton Park in the 70s first time I'd heard one. Magical sound a pack of them flying around Oulton Park.
Thrilling all the way! I had the honor to meet Rob at his shop in National City. Got him to autograph my copy of Mick Duckworth's "Triumph and BSA Triples". This video captures the magic, well done sir.
Outstanding.. Nothing beats the sound of those old British triples.. I bought a 73 T150V nearly 30 years ago and still own it.. You gotta love the sound when you change down at high speed.. I used to do it on the way to work in the 90's and set off all the car alarms in the carpark building at work.. I'm subscribed!!
Ive had my T150 here in South Africa for abput 40 years. Bought it from an englishman who came out to work at Ford assembly plant in Port Elizabeth ehp also haf a Nice Norton Commando for the same price. Sadly i could only afford one and opted for the Trident which has some Rob North bits and sounds awesome.
Awesome stuff! My dad raced round billown in 2007 and finished 2nd in his class and 7th? overall on his Ducati 250! This brings back a few memories I have of it as I was only 2 at the time
@@pbysome Hi; I was referring to EACH gear...so, you push each gear to over 9000RPMs?!! May be because my Triumphs are twins but I find very difficult to for example, rev second gear over 6000...(I have 32mm carbs and dual plugs head)
Thank you for leaving this video as it should be. No crappy music played over that glorious engine sound.

Hello Alistair, many thanks for commenting, it's great to hear from someone who rode these bikes back then! Andy.

Love the sound of the Trident when it comes on the pipe.
Blimey 😮 That was a textbook start if there ever was one 😃👌
And a nice soundtrack too 😊
Anyone who doesn't have a North should build one. You will never regret it ! 😍

I’ve had 2 t150’s and 1 t160. Just love them. Best sounding bikes ever built.
Great video. Brilliant start. Love it. Well done. Very jealous.
Try a 180° Jota with a 'racing' 3 into 1 pipe,for pure music!.......Love these too.
Awesome sounding bike, there,s nothing like a triple with a race pipe, and engine of course. Great start by the way, you really blitzed the field.
I got so many goose bumps i had to watch it again, what a sound from that bike.
What a fantastic video , one of the best I’ve ever seen , bloody magic .
What a peach of a start. HATS OFF.

Hello Jeff, yes I remember you, have you still got yours?
@@mv4ago Yes still got the old girl.
sounds absolutley awsome, thank you.
Bike sounds lovely 🙂
How was start?, amazing, without the missed gear changed he would of giving them thing to think about, extremely well done.
Great ride , well done.
Some ride that one up for the grey beards like me ! 😂😂😂
brilliant sound track, my T150V sounded good at low revs 30 in 3rd or something, to low for town, ground clearance
Wow what a sound
great!!-simply great!
Fantastic..... Maybe a tooth off the back!?
Yes, it was definitely a tad under-geared that day, same gearing as I've used before though.
Brilliant, racing a three as it should be ridden, who are liberals that gave this a thumbs down?
Vespa 🛵 pilots
Great video,i like the way you went through the racers at the start esp through inbetween the two bikes.
What sort of speeds were you doing ?
About 130 mph maximum but it was slightly under-geared.
She’s quick...why’d you have to start from so far back on the grid?
I was a late entry for that race so didn't have a grid position.
Very cool
Hello. If may I, I want to know to what RPMs you stretch each gear. More than 5500? Thanks
8500 rpm. It should do 9500 with bigger carburettors.
Mine would rev to 10,000 plus (no point going over 9,300) with 33mm carbs and full spec.
But I gotta say this sounds beautiful.
mv4ago ...pushrods earning their keep!
@@ronanrogers4127 it's the rockers that are the weak point, especially if they are over lightened/polished.

ZXR7....Pre TT Classic? Hardly....
Mad sod😀

Great vid and sounds👍
Is that the Southern 100 circuit?
Yes it is, thanks for pointing that out, I've amended the title now.
@@mv4ago 👍 I wasn’t sure, I knew it wasn’t the mountain circuit so guessed at Southern 100. 👍
Crisp!
