- There is no doubt that The Last of Us is an amazing game, but is it the masterpiece people claim it is years after its original release? Join me as I take an in-depth look at The Last of Us and decide if it's still the incredible experience we all remembered from 2013.
If you've never played The Last of Us and are looking for a spoiler free review you've come to the right place! While I do show areas, weapons, and some characters from later in the game, I do not show or talk about any crucial plot points that occur during the game. Man, I loved this game. Definitely one of my top 5 video games. This is a great review of it too and I love how you pointed out little details like the sounds the "zombies" make (Zombie-ESQ! Techhhhhniiiically). Like the creepy ass clicking and the "random agonizing screams and whimpers as if deep down inside they're trying to hold onto any humanity they have left" XD But for real. I've never been so on edge from hearing a sound in a video game since playing Dead Space and hearing the bullshit in the vents haha.
I actually enjoyed the stealth requirements of the game. xD I thought that it was realistic and didn't bother me as much as stealth-genre games typically do. But it could definitely be frustrating at times. And yeah sometimes the cover/detection system didn't work the way it should have. The bottles/bricks point is a good one too. . _. I do remember having trouble with that because I WANTED to use a moltov on a bunch of them buuut alas..
I think the aim system would have been better if it was more like the Resident Evil 2/3 Remakes' style. I did super love the craft system and it made so much sense with the setting of the game.

Subbed, my favorite story based game of all time, Part 2 is my favorite between the 2 though, awesome video, and the remake is pretty fire, gonna be playing it soon to platinum it. 🙌😃💯
It's nice to see a positive review of this game that doesn't just blindly sing its praises without criticism. The Last of Us is a great game but it certainly isn't perfect. A lot of your criticisms of the gameplay are spot on. It's especially frustrating when you're trying to listen for enemies to plan out your strategy and not all of them are visible despite being in range, which leads to you getting mobbed and often killed. I liked this game but I don't think that I enjoyed this game as much as you did. I wouldn't say it's one of the greatest games ever made. I really like Ellie and the relationship that develops between her and Joel is by far the highlight of the game but aside from that it's a fairly generic zombie story. When it comes to Naughty Dog games I very much prefer the Uncharted series.
I need to play more of the Uncharted games. I played the first one and thought it was kinda meh ;)

@@Forsaken_17 I run Linux so I have to load shaders in very game regardless.
Also I emulate a lot of switch games (I refuse to pay $60 for 30 fps 720p) so in always loading shaders
