Garrosh Hellscream's treacherous excavation of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms has finished with sinister results -- not just for Pandaria, but for all Azeroth.
In a compound beneath Ragefire Chasm, Garrosh has infused his followers -- the 'true Horde' -- with the pilfered essence of the Old God Y'shaarj. With the power of a primordial world-twisting force at his command, Garrosh can rebuild the Horde in his image: strong, obedient, and, most importantly, 'pure'.
Vol'jin's attempts to lead Horde rebels into the capital of Orgrimmar haven't gone unnoticed -- and the mightiest heroes of the Alliance have stepped in to siege one of their enemies' most prized cities. Will the Alliance be content with overthrowing a despot, or will they crush the Horde at one of the most vulnerable points in its history?
New Raid: The Siege of Orgrimmar
- The Siege of Orgrimmar is a 3-wing, 14-boss raid for max-level players, which will call you to take down Warchief Garrosh Hellscream at the head of a host of Azeroth's finest.
New Raid Mode: Flexible
- Raid with a group of friends and guild mates regardless of server, and with any group size from 10 to 25, and the difficulty will automatically adjust to provide an appropriately challenging experience.
New Feature: Proving Grounds
- Undertake solo trials to practice or learn a new class role (Tank, Healer, or Damage). Each trial is available in multiple difficulties -- Bronze through Gold and the challenging 'Endless' mode.
New Zone: The Timeless Isle
- Giant outdoor zone promoting open-world adventuring with tons of hidden treasures, giant creatures to defeat, five world bosses, a pet battle tournament, and much more!
Legendary Quest: Judgment of the Black Prince
- The epic conclusion to the Legendary quest line will see players rewarded with unique cloaks imbued with powerful new abilities.
New Feature: Connected Realms
- Lower population realms will be permanently and seamlessly "linked." Players on the same Connected Realm will be able to trade, send and receive mail, join the same guilds, access a single Auction House, run the same Raids and Dungeons, and join other adventurers to complete quests.
PvP: Redesigned Arena System
- Arenas are no longer tied to specific Battlegroups, and players no longer need to create or join an Arena team to compete. Similar to the Rated Battleground system, players in a party of the appropriate size can queue.

Edit: Garrosh, in my opinion, was the best villain wow had save for Arthas. He had a tragic fall from grace as he was consumed by the same lust for power that consumed his father. But, Garrosh truly felt pride for the Horde (or his vision of it, at least). He was ruthless and his need for power overcame his honor. It was truly tragic to see him fall to a villain.

@@Aleshov If blizzard wants another good villain for an xpac, they have 2 options imo:
1. use Azshara. They kept her alive for a reason and she deserves her own xpac, not just one raid tier.
2. Build up a character like they built up garrosh or arthas. get us emotionally invested in a character arc so that when they become a villain, its tragic and more impactful.

6 years later in 2019 this helps me realize this was the patch that made me believe MoP was the best expansion out of all of the ones that came after wrath. LOVED siege of Orgrimmar and even liked MoP itself.

Raphael Conterno I knew he was wounded. That's why he got completely demolished. Just cause you knock Garrosh down doesn't mean it's going toe-to-toe. Garrosh took on three orcs with his hands cuffed. They knocked him down too and he whooped 'em good. It's like all the Varian fanboys saying Varian would beat Garrosh just cause Garrosh was disarmed one time and a magnatuar interrupted the fight. (To those who say that, he was stomping Thrall after he lost Gorehowl so there. Thrall needed magic to win.)

I love how Blizzard have built up such a badass villain like Garrosh in the World of Warcraft. Most of the other main villains already existed in WCIII, but Garrosh is a new creation, and he is epic!

I am quite disappointed that Blizzard turned Garrosh into a villain. I mean, he had a great potential to become positive hero, even with all his dowsides: he is a true warrior and a good strategist, he is very straight-forward and he knows what is best for him and his people. Yes, he started genocide of trolls, but after Vol'jin went too cocky and started to say Garrosh he sucks. In his face. I love Vol'jin too, he is a badass, and I play troll, but I loved Garrosh a bit more. And now they turned him into a loot wagon, who later becomes prisoner. Sweet...

I will never understand why they just blandly turned Garrosh evil. I understand that he was always hot headed and pretty arrogant but he just wanted what was best for his people. There is no logical explanation as to why he suddenly forsakes his honor and values and uses something so evil to achieve his goals. I remember in the silverpine questline how he rebuked Sylvanas for using the Valykir so they could create more forsaken. He also felt really bad about how he unknowingly cheated in his fight with Cairne, and now he just uses the power of an old god and becomes pure evil? I think Blizz desperately needed an end boss for MoP so they just shoe horned Garrosh...

***** The Stonetalon mountains questline makes me agree with the OP even more...Garrosh wanted resources for his people, and was not abash to fight for them, but he was enraged against the injustice versus the innocents his generals carried out. His punishment for them is the last part of that questline. So I, too, don't understand where this complete change of character came from.

Say what you will about MoP but this (and ToT imo) were amazing raids.
MoP was actually a good expansion, the problem was that all the other expansions before were 9/10 or 10/10, so when we got a 8/10 we hated it until we got a 0/10 (wod)
cata was 9/10 or a 10/10??? Last time i checked cata was a 3/10 at best. MoP was superior straight from the very first patch til the very end. Cata was only good at the very beginning before they decided to nerf everything into the ground.

Mists of Pandaria exceeded my expectations...
Mist of Pandaria didn't just exceed my expectations, but instead took my expectations and threw it to Kalimdor (questing freaks will get it). It might be the fact that an expansion based around a joke (YES I know 1 pandaren was a part of warcraft for like 5 minutes but non-the-less it was still an Aprils fools joke) didn't really have high expectations from me when it was announced. Now that's over I'm speechless... this expansion totally took the joke that was cataclysm and punched it in the face. Not only was it visually beautiful, but it was also superior in content, updated frequently, has little/no bugs for such a short beta, outstanding lore (patch 5.3+), monk are a great class, great music, great zones (Timeless isle might of made it to one of my favorite zones along side with Nagrand and Grizzly Hills), oh yeah and killing the Golden Lotus and Klaxxi in SoO for all the pain they've done to in the form of dailies was also very pleasing. Great job Blizzard for making an outstanding expansion and I hope that WoD will reflect on everything you did right in MoP. (In case you're wondering: WoD (My expectation)>WoTLK>BC=MoP>Vanilla>Dirt>Shit>Garrosh's sense of humor>Cata)

Garrosh as warchief was an essence of Draenor orcs, he should never leave outland, he fights for his race and for dominance(my favorite "modern" orc). Thrall was the wrong guy in the lore. The Azeroth Horde should never be leaded by a pure orc. I feel bad for defeating a champion. He did his "crimes" but prob Durotar, Grom and all Draenor Chiefs would do the same.
Firstly it's Durotan. And secondly, Durotan won't do it. Their clan was fighting for survival, not a dominance. But other clans will do it as you said.
And just take a look in a Garrosh world if we didn't succeded. Millions of dead people. Anyone who could survive this would be enslaved. Is that a world you are looking for? o_O

Coming back to this trailer after ten years and playing WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. Garrosh was such an awesome villain!

Moral of the story: To many morals to pick one. Pandas are fluffy and don't die from being impaled..? Also hellscreams are big but damn fast. Pity he didn't stay as a commander instead of becoming a leader if you ask me.

I just noticed that Garrosh is actually using the Warsong Howling Axe you get from the Blood Furnace dungeon in Hellfire Peninsula.
The actual Gorehowl has a row of spines on the back of the head and the blade is longer, the head also has a glowy bit.

Jack Waller First off its not in silverpine forest. Second he ment killing innocent women and children. Even he doesn't go that far. Everything else is just part of the casualties of war.

Anyone else think Garrosh should be a "brawler" class? He beat up both Taran Zhou and Thrall with his bare fists lol. He does better with fists than with weapons.
