Across the breadth of Azeroth, the Horde and the Alliance have dealt crushing blows to Deathwing's elemental minions and fanatic Twilight's Hammer cultists. Through it all, the Earthen Ring has never wavered from its tireless charge, holding Azeroth itself together amid the tidal fury and errant magical energies that churn at the Maelstrom. Yet as the elements continue their chaotic upheaval, it seems that the noble shamanic order might finally be on the verge of breaking beneath the great weight that rests on its shoulders. Even Thrall, for all of his wisdom and skill, has grown aggravated by his failure to effectively communicate with Azeroth's elements. Recently, his calls were acknowledged, but the malevolent entity that responded has only intensified Thrall's fears and doubts....

Yes, it's true that Chris Metzen voices alot of characters and alot of NPC's, like orcs, but take heart that he ain't Sargeras.

Firelands probably the best raid ever all the boss was fun especially Alysrazor.
it was an awesome raid indeed, I just wish it was longer and the environment wasn't so dull. Yeah I know it's an elemental plane and the domain of the firelord, but still, it was just too repetitive. Still I loved this raid so much, one of favourites for sure.

Well it was a huge improvement if you look at the old level 60 raid with Ragnaros Molten Core. ;)
Of course it was back in Vanilla so back then this raid was awesome and it's still is if you actually try to do the raid level 60-65 with a groups.
***** The teir it was in was meant to have 2 raids. One about fire and the other about water in vashjir but blizz scrapped the idea

Achille12345 they won't, underwater combat proved to be a failure, same goes for air combat. Just look at oculus, and did you even tried fighting in Vashj'ir? I love the zone, it's beautiful, but combat there is dreadful, PvP especially.

really the most epic and fun raid in cataclysm.. to me it was really hard and one of the hardest in wow. amazing and implemented boss mechanics, and the quests and dailies were pretty fun and made me want to complete the storyline.

A very well done raid. Good atmosphere along with great work on the bosses and music. It set the bar for raids to come.

I enjoyed Cataclysm, but I'm having a great time in Pandaria so far. The raids are fun, the land is beautiful, and the music is, as always, top notch.

Depends on what you mean, 5 man content or raids? Hardmode raids are as hard as never before, normal modes you can clear in a week from scratch.

No matter how many times i watch this i always get that chill up my back. Ragnaros was such a great fight, especially on heroic. Why must we suffer with these pathetic DS fights...... R.I.P. Rags.....

Why am I now imagining Thrall as the Lich King?
The whole of the Warcraft lore has revolved around the Alliance races and how they have persevered through attacks by Old Gods, the Burning Legion, the dead, dragons, and the elements themselves. The Night Elves saved the world from the Legion with the use of the World Tree. They had their fantastic return and triumph and have continued to serve as prominent guardians since. It's time the Horde get their time in the spotlight and make a real name for themselves. Lok'Tar Ogar. For The Horde!

I love Cataslism.. love Throne of four winds, Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent, Firelands..
There was some fails in WoW. Like some of Cataclysm (or whole) plot. But WoW is still awesome, no matter what.

Cata was my favorite expansion.
(Also, before you ask, I've played since late Burning Crusade.)
I really like it as well tbh i can see the issues but the bosses we fought were amazing. Like Ragnaros and deathwing to name a few.
But, I believe Thrall can change the world.

This patch, together with the previous tier makes me wonder why alot of people disliked Cataclysm.. I personally think both T11 and T12 were brilliant, but yeah Dragon Soul was probably the worst Tier ever released.
Ruben Swama Because of PvP.. The only time when blood Dks were capable to win a 2v2 arena alone.
More seriously it was mainly because of the drastic changes that happend to the game. Hunters lost mana for focus, warriors lost their stances, Rdruids lost their permanent treant form for a 3min cd, ect.. A lot a peaple didn't like these changes, plus the game gone insane, all cacs had kicks and insane mobility, all casters were able to cast while running or even became to a point of just throwing instant spells to kill a target. (this beautifull soud of frost javelin spammed again and again until your death..) Add it that Blizz removed a lot of abilities.. The PvP finaly lost most of its technicity and just became a real mess.
Also because they changed the old questing far too much.

That part was good,but having no story and doing the quests just because the npc said so,not having enough quests in later zones and not having quest hubs sucked donkey balls

It wasn't as complex of a raid design, but Firelands sits to the right of Ulduar in my heart. Its main theme is easily my favorite chunk of music from the entire game so far.
Ulduar just had more awesomeness. Firelands was a burst of awesome where Ulduar was a stream of awesome. :B

Of course we all have times, when we get the feeling to see a different graphic setting or another genre type of game, but I always love the moment to come back online in wow, coz its a social hub with a rich environment and a lot to do. ->

@@ColdCryomancer thrall is probably the most known shaman in world of warcraft. I would assume they know he is the son of durotan. since shamanism is engrained I. the orcs culture.

Just like Superman's birth name was Kal-El. He was raised by humans with the name Clark Kent. Thrall's name wasn't ironic though, as he was a slave. He just chose to keep the name.
Thrall is basically superman and Metzen's alter ego and Mary Sue.

4.1 didn't have a raid either, and yet they still managed to give us a compelling trailer for it.
I actually haven't even done Firelands until like... 4 months ago. I liked DS but damn, Firelands was a masterpiece. Heroic Ragnaros was one of the most epic encounters I've ever done. Absolutely can't wait for Mists of Pandaria.

Thrall at 2:50, he wasn't upset or yelling because of the fire, but it was the first time he saw what garrosh did to orgrimar
The maelstrom is the one of the major places on Azeroth where all four elements converge, and are the most tormented by Deathwing, so Ragnaros is coming out of the represented fire element, at the center of the maelstrom, in the middle of the whirlpool. That and Ragnaros is a boss(no mmo pun intended)
The Maelstorm is a powerful fountain that can be used to open rifts between worlds, in this case the Firelands
@BlackTemplar43 technically that would be the Draenei, since it was mastery of magic that caused Sargeras to become interested in them in the first place.
if i'm not mistaken, ragnaros is coming from the maelstron, if u jump in there most probably you'll go to deepholm, since we fly with agra there.
and it don't change the fact that ragnaros is "floating" in the water.
Thrall's model actually uses the draenei frame, you can notice it when he is running in the temple of aspects.
Legnaros was probably the most "OH SHIT" moment in Cataclysm.
thats the idea, its gonna be awsome, + there is a novel about him and the dragon aspects, so there is plenty of galakrond to go arround.
