      yeah $300 per window is ridiculous. if you're talking 6-8 windows and roof trim - $3000-5000 to hang christmas lights.

      @@awptions i bought permanent lights for my house for $3500 going on three years and never a problem. $300 a window would be crazy

    Have to use outside glue sticks. The others will fall like they’re doing. I’m going to try this method around my windows. The glue sticks can come off using a heat gun, blow dryer or scraper.

    FYI, if you take a can of air cleaner, the kind they use to clean computers and keyboards and turn it upside down and spray a quick blast of air on the hot glue it will set up almost instantly. Save you some time maybe. Turning it upside down makes the air come out really cold which sets the hot glue.

    Question: won’t the hot glue melt the wire? What is the safest temp to use and can this be accomplished during winter without losing hold?

    Maybe its just my gun but I switched back to the electric glue gun because I was getting callbacks after using the ryobi gun. I feel like it just doesn't get the glue hot enough. Battery charge never seemed to last very long either...

    Great, except where do you buy custom length Xmas lights. No way I’d pay $300 for one window. That’s insane.
