Do you need a whole day to do this? How mny hrs total did u explore the garden? It don’t look bz… thx 😊 we visiting Labor Day week this yr. Not sure if this should b in our plan.
You definitely don't need a whole day to do this, but the amount of time you spend here depends on if you have a car or if you walk in. If you walk in, it will take you longer to go around and explore so I would recommend 2-3 hours. If you have a car and drive in, it will take you more like 1-2 hours.
Thanks so much for your informative videos! Is there anywhere there/nearby you can buy food or is it better to bring your own drinks/food? I plan to go in October and want to spend as long as possible there without starving!
No problem! And I don’t know of any restaurants super close, I know there are some by the entrance and exit of the park, and you can always leave and reenter if you’re hungry. Also, you can buy cheaper meals ( it’s still Hawaiian prices) at ABC stores and then bring them to the park - I would recommend doing that and maybe you can have a picnic!
Great question! You can take the "HOLO" Bus, but it will take a decent amount of time (over an hour). Google maps can tell you which buses to take, where to transfer, and so on
Was there today from your recommendation. Excellent choice! Mahalo
That’s awesome to hear, hope you had a great time! Mahalo

@@WanderlustWellman awesome, thank you for replying and the helpful info!
@@sarahchung2905 No problem, I hope you have an amazing trip!
How did you manage to take a photo on the road if there is security at the entrance?
We took photos while walking in a nonchalant way, rather tan stopping and doing a photoshoot
@@WanderlustWellman so you can normally go through the entrance where's check point and walk on the side of the road? btw what time you been there?
Are videos or pictures not allowed?
How was the commute by bus roundtrip?
A bit of a headache, it's around 1.5 hours each way with one bus transfer.
Do they charge ?
Nope, it’s free!
How can one get here from waikiki without a car?
