  • After days of rain the week prior, I ventured out to Waimea valley to see the waterfall at the end of the 0.75 mile paved road. This falls is rain fed, therefore only come here if there have been days where it's been raining. However, do not swim if it is flash flood. I was fortunate to see this falls flowing just perfectly! I visited this gem on 12/3/23. Believe it or not, the falls were baron dry for 2 months prior to 11/20/23!
To get to the falls, you'll stroll through the botanical garden and you can't help but look at all the beautiful plants! Hope you enjoy this video and get to see the falls for yourself one day.

I live on Kaua’i now. This was my first waterfall swim about 40 years ago. Thanks for a wonderful memory.

I have been here. Cell phones did not work for some reason. Not sure if I would visit again. Was crowded even when I visited mid-January. Thanks for covering this!

Np! Yeah down that area especially in the valley there’s no signal. But at least they provide wifi so that should help somewhat. It’s not too bad if you go when it first opens crowd wise.
