American standard has tech videos that explain this as well that are available on their app Or if you just google the model number of the furnace with the letters pdf after it. The service facts will come up and all AMERICAN Standard or Trane have the diagnostic for the ECM or X13 motors. This is the first tech video I’ve seen done in the field. Great video. I’ll be having new techs watch this thanks for sharing.
First of all, thank you! Saved my ass tonight man. I've got an auy100r9v4v0 that was "upgraded" with the KIT16582, that has this style blower. Furnace lights, blower never comes on, burners run till the limit trips, and it shuts down. Did what you showed here and the blower lit right up. So that means my control board in the furnace is bad right? As opposed to the one on the back of the blower motor?
Yes sir it's the board! Also don't forget to check continuity on your wire harness because it also could be that wire harness - but nine times out of ten it's the board itself
@@HVACTechKnowledgyThank you! Yessir! I kind of figured the board was finished not only after a jumped the motor but also b/c the cfm light doesn't flash at all when the "blow me motor" should have been on. I'm just bad about second guessing myself on things I'm not to familiar on. Thanks for the confidence and reassurance! Appreciate you. Do you have a patreon or anything?
Well done
Thanks
Did you find the paperwork on machine or do you carry the instructions with you?
I found them on the unit.
