Beware of "philosophies of men mingled with scripture" Nemo has much to understand about the Church of Jesus Christ. As for me and my house we will follow the Lord's prophet(s)
The Bednar bit about "choosing to be offended" reminds me of the bully kid who grabs your arm and smacks you with your own hand, while saying "stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself." One of the cardinal rules of Mormonism is that everything suboptimal about the church is your fault.
Didn’t Christ say “Come, Follow me”? And not come, follow my Church? The inherent need for Church leaders to place themselves in between you and Christ is the only way to keep them relevant. They want to be in your repentance, your service, your donations, and family to keep you feeling its all a divine and necessary process you can’t bypass
Its called mind manipulation. Why would a person die for religion? ie Davidians & David Koresh? Because of the utilization of "hypnotic suggestions"! Religions/cults/controllers even advertising does this!
I’m a member and this is fr. This talk is literally propaganda brainwash. There’s a difference between discerning between useful teachings, like think celestial, versus unrighteous dominion i.e. covering up abuse. I have personally had a witness from the Holy Spirit that in some way, shape, or form that this is the restored gospel, but there is so much restoration and purification that needs to be undergone before such assertions can even have any validity. If this is the true church then why do past actions say otherwise? You can’t expect to gain followers when there’s so many things that need to be resolved as well as renounced. You can’t say you receive revelation from God and then put a restriction on children getting baptized that come from same-sex parents. That’s complete absurdity. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! Whatever way that looks like is valid as long as we are following the commandments and following the way that Jesus walked, we can’t go wrong. And because general authorities have done wrong, it would be wrong to just say they are 100% receiving word from God, when that is false.
@@danielwalker2381 the True Church is first of all spiritual -- a *Spritual* "church" - not any organization -- and consists of every person who has willfully placed their faith in The Salvation procured by Jesus through His Life, Death, and Resurrection. However, most people typically think of a "church" as a building and/or an associated organization -- which is to "put the cart before the horse". People who -- by their faith in Jesus as their Savior -- gather together ("congregate") to share their faith, are known as "congregations". And congregations of believers in Jesus frequently build buildings in which to worship. And these buildings are commonly called "churches" But a church *building* or organization is not actually The *Church* -- the *Church* is in the hearts of the people inside the "church" building and organization. And (sadly) -- not every member of any organization is part of the True Church. There are (sadly) *members* of every "church" (including Mormon congregations) who have NOT placed their faith in Jesus as their Savior, and therefore are NOT members of the Body of Christ, and the True Church. There is no organization that can claim to be the "true church"; the True Church was never lost, and never needed to be restored -- it has been present for over 2,000 years, and still is throughout the entire world. If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you ARE a member of the one True Church -- no matter where you are, no matter where you worship, whether you are in a temple or a grocery store. You cannot be less of a member in a grocery store, or more of a member in a temple.
I am not sure I see how this applies to Joseph Smith, but I would very much say it applies to Brigham Young. Joseph Smith dies young, poor, in jail, being against polygamy..Brigham Young became a governor who tried to become president, was rich and had 55 wives.
@@ProgressIsTheOnlyEvolution Joseph Smith and his family lived materially better lives than they had as farmers in New York. He lived off the donations of his trusting followers and used his "revelations ' to persuade people to give him more. He wasn't in jail just because of his sexual practices but because he encouraged an atmosphere of fear among non member neighbours and invited followers to"milk the gentiles" eg steal from them. His rhetoric and actions were deemed treasonous oh and he invited the destruction of the Nauvoo Expositor which in itself was a crime I understand. (I was reminded of JS because he used religious dogma and his extremely timely and convenient revelations to shame and coerce people into compliance).
Unfortunately to many members of the LDS faith, their church has become their god. This was true for me when I was a TBM. For example, I would spend most of my time thinking about the responsibilities I had in the church rather than Jesus, I would discuss the church outside of Sunday way more than I would ever discuss Jesus; finally, as a missionary, I would invite people to come to church and listen to the "words of a living prophet" more than I would ever invite them to come learn about Jesus. I suppose one could rebut this argument and say, "serving in the church is equivalent to serving the savior because building the church is equivalent to building the kingdom of god." However, for me it is quite clear; I wasn't ever serving Jesus. I was only serving the church and my own "worthiness ego." The leadership of the LDS church is incredibly vain even if they truly believe they are doing the right thing.
As I look back over the 25+ years I spent in the Mormon church, I recall the occasional reference to Jesus, a lot about Joseph Smith, but mostly about tithing, home teaching and temple attendance. What a sham!
Ouch Jesus just shut down Catholicism, Mormonism, Protestantism, Islam, Jews, Evolution Theorist, Atheists, Capitalists, Communists, Nationalists and Materialists in one shot. Bye bye American Dream 👋❤
@@TheSamjane4 Yeah and that is even worse...money is just one of many false things humans can devote themselves to. He did however say that "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" (Luke 18:25)
"Jesus Said..”You Cannot Serve God and Money.”" True enough. I have never had money command me to do, or not do, anything. It is hard enough to serve my God, my spouse, my employer, my neighbors not always in that order.
@@thomasmaughan4798 Jesus walked about Doing Good..Helping..Healing..Forgiving..Teaching..never charged anyone for anything..spiritual things. We have to work in the world for money..but it should not be for spiritual things.
Obviously not. I am pretty sure Christ would not have created any of the churches or organizations we have today. Part of the flaw in the concept of church and religion is that they fail to understand and acknowledge that Jesus and his chosen messenger the Apostle Paul clearly taught that the flesh is against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh. Both money and organized religion, corporations and land ownership belong to the things of the flesh and not the things of the spirit. As so while this does prove the Mormons wrong, it actually also prove everyone who follow physical organization rather than spirit wrong too. The physical organizations can at best be tools the spirit can use, but they can NEVER be a substitute for Gods spirit, love, truth, action and word!
I'm quite certain Jesus forbade the mass hoarding of wealth "for a rainy day" and I'm also quite certain he made no intention of requiring his followers to go through a convoluted, manmade organization that requires your money just to be able to reach him.
"I'm quite certain Jesus forbade the mass hoarding of wealth" Being certain is no substitute for being correct. I suggest to your consideration the *Parable of the Five Wise Virgins* . I suggest also Matthew 26:6-13; a woman annointed Jesus' feet, his disciples rebuked her, but Jesus then rebuked his disciples. Jesus alludes to a *difficulty* for wealthy persons to enter heaven; not that it would be impossible. A wealthy person can do a LOT more charity than your typical neighborhood monk vowing poverty.
If i had not already left the church, this talk would have woken me up to leave.. actually, there are a lot of troubling talks. When I left, it was because I felt my God and Jesus behaved differently than the church's God. Now Ive seen its only gotten worse.
"Choosing to be offended" is Pollyanna, at best, and victim-blaming at its worst... such false doctrine. Glad that you're posting this, Nemo... lots of LDS folks are struggling with the effects of generational abuse... so sad. Keep on keeping on... 👊🇨🇦
I love President Nelson, and all the church leaders who serve with him.By God's Divine grace, I will live and gladly die as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.Forever!
Good job, Nemo. I used to love the Church. I used to think of it as a place that embraced truth: but all of these arguments that Hamilton makes to prop up the authority of the Church (and which are reinforced by the Brethren) are so childish, so manipulative, so nonsensical, so tyrannical, so elitist, and so arrogant that it makes me angry and sad. As the leaders of the Church ignore honest questions, silence dissent, suppress honest inquiry, take a hostile posture towards their own members, cover up their lies about church investments, protect their own interests instead of helping abuse victims, warn people against activism, eliminate agency, refuse to accept emails or letters from regular members, and insulate themselves from the day to day struggles of the members, they are basically transforming the church into an organization of brainless pawns. Meanwhile, despite their best efforts at maintaining control, the church seems to be unraveling at the seams. People of all political and religious dispositions are breaking off. Why? Because the brethren don't really want our involvement. They want to give us the script (through Come Follow Me, etc) and they expect us to follow it. They don't seem to realize that we have brains and need to be engaged in our own lives and our own learning. We need a safe forum to discuss problems. We need a safe space to work through real questions. We need leaders who are accessible and accountable. We need to learn how to love and communicate with people we disagree with. And god dammit we don't need people who only act as obstacles our personal learning and growth. I took my questions to my Stake President, Bishop, Elders Quorum President, and Stake Patriarch. They were all kind--but the only advice they offered was "have faith and hang in there." But, that is not enough. Local priesthood leaders who are both uninformed and unauthorized to address doctrinal, historical, or policy issues cannot help someone like me. I've thought a hundred times--could I take my questions to the brethren? And the answer, again and again, is NO! They don't want to hear my problems. They don't care about me as an individual. They just want me to get in line. The top fifteen are surrounded by a morass of Seventies like Hamilton who, all of them, are unauthorized to think for themselves. None of them is authorized to seriously, thoughtfully, and compassionately address questions about The Book of Abraham, Book of Mormon authenticity, the lack of evidence of the restoration of the Priesthood in the historical record, questions of abuse, questions about the Church's unkind treatment towards LGBTQ community. Why? Because they are trained with the slogan "don't get ahead of the brethren." The seventy seem only to serve the same function as the perimeter of thorn trees set up by the evil witch in Sleeping Beauty. They are there to insulate the brethren and prevent members from getting to the center where they can see the brethren for what they truly are.
@Donnie-Lee-Gringo The problem is -- and has been from the beginning -- the underlying false claim of the Mormon "church" that The Church of Jesus Christ is an *organization*. The TRUE Church of Jesus Christ is a Spiritual Church -- not any organization -- and consists of every person who has willfully placed their faith in The Salvation procured by Jesus through His Life, Death, and Resurrection. So yes -- it IS TRUE: you cannot accept Jesus Christ, and reject *HIS* Church -- because your *ARE* Spiritually (and physically -- the temple of) HIS CHURCH -- SPIRITUAL. But there is NO organization that can rightfully claim to be the only pathway (or a pathway at all) to anyone's faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. There is NO organization, person, or building that is able to come between the heart of a person and The Holy Spirit, God, and Jesus.
"specifically makes a claim you can and do accept Jesus Christ with no need of a church." Perhaps. A church is *useful* but you can certainly "accept Jesus Christ" but how, exactly, would you even know such a person ever existed except that a *church* preserves his words and publishes books? Once you have *accepted Jesus Christ* now perhaps you wonder if Jesus Christ accepts YOU. Well that's a very different question and appears at some point to require at least a baptism and for that, a church properly equipped with actual priesthood to do such things.
@@thomasmaughan4798 Many Christian churches do not recognize an official priesthood. In Luther's words, there is a "priesthood of all believers." And you don't need a church hierarchy to publish books.
@@TheHunterGracchus "Many Christian churches do not recognize an official priesthood." Naturally not; what would be the source of their authority? There is none for them. "In Luther's words, there is a "priesthood of all believers."" He is mistaken. There is a type of brotherhood of all believers; but that's not *priesthood* of the kind authorized to baptize in a specific manner. Paul wrote Titus to locate and appoint bishops and elders to conduct such things; this would not be necessary if just anyone could be anything (think "Zootopia" or any modern left wing thought process). "And you don't need a church hierarchy to publish books." You do if you wish such books to have ANY shred of believability. Do you embrace the Urantia Book? Book of Mormon? Bagavad Gita? Probably not. Why not? How about the extra books of the bible that Catholics use but Protestants do not? Who exactly decided WHAT private letters from Paul to include in that book? The Catholics! A church. Without a church you are ALONE in the world. Sure, you might have a relationship with Jesus; how's that going to work for you when organized enemies come along and you are not part of any organization whatsoever? Yeah. Not hard to see where that might go. Organized charity is considerably more effective most of the time than random charity. And when YOU need charity; belonging to a church is a quick way to get some otherwise you are going to hope that somewhere in your life is a Good Samaritan.

“Councils are the safety net.” I mean, Warren Jeffs is the case study for how bad things can go when only one person has absolute control, and the fact that he still has loyal followers today should give the mainstream church pause in its approach to demanding loyalty. Avoiding the Warren Jeffs path is also an extremely low bar for claiming that councils are an adequate safeguard against prophetic fallibility. The efficacy of a council is undermined when it fails to represent its constituency. When you cherry pick yes men like Hamilton, thought diversity is what you lose.

That is a really big problem for members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, and it’s a problem that so many people in that church equate Jesus Christ, his gospel, and the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, as one in the same and clearly they are not so he’s really gaslighting people into thinking they’re all the same if you reject one then you reject the other two and it’s a manipulative tacticthat’s used by leaders of the Mormon church both local and higher up
Thank you for your explanation. I believe that God will ultimately hold those church leaders responsible as false profits. Keep up the good work and God bless.
You are incorrect. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints these men are Apostles and President Nelson is a prophet. Anciently when Jesus Christ formed his church Peter was the Prophet. Peter was not Christ and President Nelson is not suggesting he is equal to Christ.
That is what the Pope pretend to be and have pretended to be for thousands of years, but yes such a claim is very arrogant, fortunately I have never met neither a Catholic or Mormon who has claimed to be the same as Christ.
I have spoken with people about the idea that treating people as if they are gods or that they can not err makes them equal to god in practice even if you don't say as much or make token claims to fallibility or imperfection. Too many member say "our leader are not perfect" or "they are men that can make mistakes" but if you get specific and mention any mistake than you are "speaking evil of the lords anointed". The end result is that we talk a big game about imperfection but we treat leaders as if they are gods. Hero worship at its finest.
"You cannot accept Jesus Christ, and reject his church." That sounds like a logical enough assertion. However, I would suggest that by the same logic, you cannot accept that a given church is Christ's church if it demonstrates (by words, actions and teachings that are antithetical to Christ's teachings) that they themselves do not accept Christ. By extension, again using his own logic, if you accept Christ, you should reject the Mormon Church because it is clearly not his church. I think that's the bottom line here.
@@jsharp9735 Indeed logos and so much more! If you add in the time traveling Nord theory, the Lamanite wars in the book of Mormon could have happened too. This whole talk begs the question. The question we should be asking, before we even get to the logic, is, is this jesus' exclusive church, and is it being led by him? @timmills9727 -- Tim -- I've seen it go both ways. Some are drawn by The Holy Spirit to find True Faith in The True Jesus of The Bible, and go on to join Christian congregations and continue to grow in their relationship with God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Others -- sadly, as you say -- are completely dis-enchanted and disillusioned by the lies of the "church", and many -- having been completely devout, sincere, and fully practicing members for years (some from multi-generation Mormon families) are so poisened in their minds and hearts that they find it nearly impossible to entertain faith in God at all. Many of these go the atheist/agnostic or completely indifferent path, and are the saddest people I know, because they cannot (or can hardly) be reached with the True Jesus. We see many of these on so-called ex-Mormon sites, and you can see and feel the deep pain and betrayal in their lives -- even as they claim to be happy and free from having left the (Mormon) "church".
I'm an Ex-Mormon agnostic atheist. Yes I'm an atheist, but I'm not dogmatic about it, hence I also used the term agnostic. I would love for there to be actual evidence of a benevolent God. Unfortunately I see more evidence that if there is a god, he's not benevolent. Maybe he's not evil either, but he's kinda shitty. Put it this way, if the Mormon God is real and I discovered he was real, I would still reject him because he's clearly a completely psychotic and toxic being who is unworthy of our respect, let alone our worship.
The majority of them become atheist or agnostic from what I've personally witnessed. It's traumatizing to realize we've been so thoroughly lied to so we reject anything to do with "God".
So they think that the fact that they are standing (kinda) and they haven’t been cursed by god for lying, that that is God’s way of not letting them lead us astray? So if there is a massive problem like child abuse, and God wants it fixed, he’ll fix it himself. Peculiar God. Sounds like He’s got this. He doesn’t need us or the prophets. Everybody can go home. Thanks Nemo. Love ya, man.
Yet they say that the teachings of past prophets was incorrect but at the same time the prophets can’t lean you astray. Cognitive dissonance is hilarious
Hey there, first video of yours I've watched. I'm a Messianic Jew, and thus consider myself a part of the broader body of Christ who hold to the teaching delivered by the original apostles and prophets. Anyway, found the video interesting and looking forward to exploring your content!
I agree. If any of us say that we speak FOR God, we'll, that's just wrong actually, and as members, we have learned to feel special, which we are addicted to. No wonder when we do the best we can out is so a failure. So sad
Loyalty is very important as part of our human nature; and honesty is an integral part of loyalty. Thanks for your honesty Nemo. I hope over time this helps make change where the leaders can ask more honest questions of the Lord.

Is this the format of BYU devotionals now? When I was there 20 years ago, it was everybody in the Marriott Center basketball arena facing the speaker at the center, who stood behind a lectern (similar to General Conference). Now it looks more like a TED talk.
Right?! His threat of DEATH to anyone who tries to change the church for the better is SOO GROSS and abusive! If he knew the history of the ark and the 'place' where people kept their idols, he would realize we don't have an ark anymore, and if the church did have one, it's the Holy of Holies in the temple, not a bunch of old men.
Mormonism does not accept that God is the same yesterday, today and Tomorrow. The Mormon god was not always god but existed as an intelligence, became a spirit through celestial procreation, obtained a physical body through the process current humanity is undergoing, and eventually obtained a celestial glory. Mormons are confused about their god.
Remember Enos in the Book of Mormon No Church No Bishop to confess to yet he received forgiveness and salvation out in the woods ALONE through faith and prayer It's called a personal relationship with the Savior ALONE
Replacing "The Chruch" with "the savior" isn't the solution it's supposed to be. If you think that the way the church handles abuse is the way that the savior wants, then that seems, to me, to be a reason to believe Christ is a monster as the church absolutely is in it's complacency.
Such a horrible gaslighting🙄 His statements are very demeaning to any other Christian- Superiority of Mormonism again. It reminds me of Brad Wilcox's statements🤮
Essentially, the overarching point of this is that you need to bend to our alleged authority, critical thinking error is called appeal to authority which can lead you to false conclusions because the people who claim to be authorities may not actually be authorities and even people who are in fact authorities are not always correct. So this type of thinking puts a chain around your mind and tries to stop your critical thinking processes

Absolutely. Great point
Exactly. It's all about CONTROL.
Its called mind manipulation. Why would a person die for religion? ie Davidians & David Koresh? Because of the utilization of "hypnotic suggestions"! Religions/cults/controllers even advertising does this!
Spot on
Such a good point! In the Christian Bible, Jesus defines His church as all people who have chosen to believe in him. It’s not brick and mortar.
Also, I think Jesus would be flipping some tables over this talk.
No kidding. It’s blasphemy.
Amen, and amen.

This reminds me of Joseph Smith having convenient "revelations" to gaslight and divert attention from failings as a person and a leader.

I was only serving the church and my own "worthiness ego."
The leadership of the LDS church is incredibly vain even if they truly believe they are doing the right thing.
As I look back over the 25+ years I spent in the Mormon church, I recall the occasional reference to Jesus, a lot about Joseph Smith, but mostly about tithing, home teaching and temple attendance. What a sham!

The New Testament specifically makes a claim you can and do accept Jesus Christ with no need of a church.
"specifically makes a claim you can and do accept Jesus Christ with no need of a church."
Perhaps.
@@TheHunterGracchus "Many Christian churches do not recognize an official priesthood."
Naturally not; what would be the source of their authority? There is none for them.
"In Luther's words, there is a "priesthood of all believers.""
He is mistaken.
"And you don't need a church hierarchy to publish books."
You do if you wish such books to have ANY shred of believability.
When the Veil of the Temple was rent in twain at Jesus' death the meaning is that there is no longer to be any priest or priesthood between the individual person and the Savior. Your excuses for needing an authoritarian church are just excuses. @@thomasmaughan4798

1 Nephi 11, verse 35. Its amazing to see ancient prophecies actually coming true in our day.
Hey there, first video of yours I've watched. I'm a Messianic Jew, and thus consider myself a part of the broader body of Christ who hold to the teaching delivered by the original apostles and prophets. I've had quite a few conversations with LDS missionaries, but still have many questions (namely, how and why Joseph Smith's revelation should be seen as authoritative). Anyway, found the video interesting and looking forward to exploring your content!
Thanks for part one. Here's a few dollars toward a part 2!
Thank you very much!
100% on point👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
More solid content from Nemo.
love this wonderful church
Like the new outro. Perhaps a quote at the end would be nice? little bits of wisdom. C:
I love this idea! Like Criminal Minds
Yes, part 2 please!!
The Mormons put a pay wall around Jesus...
I think he's giving this talk in front of the wallpaper mural in my childhood basement family room.
Great content Nemo... Give us one the priesthood ban
Well said!
You gotta question someone that just spends their days tearing an organization down that has existed for more than 200 years.
Oh, Nemo, you could be doing so much more with your life.
Just so you know you’re tearing down the very people that work hard to build societies all over the world. Did you know that the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints gives 1,000,000,000 and 1/2 dollars annually to the poor? 1.5 billion annually and you want to do this? I bet you can’t even get out of your parents basement. I bet you haven’t even gone on a date with a girl before. And I know you’re still a virgin.
@@shannansharp You gotta question someone that spends their days tearing a faith down that has existed for more than 2000 years.
Wow! I never realized how anti-Christian denominations the LDS church is. Eye opening.
Watching him makes me so mad. Thank you for making this.
Wow. The leaders of the church certainly seen desperate to get us to listen to , and obey everything that they say.
What he says at 12:30 made me want to throw up. In my heart, I feel that is so disrespectful towards Jesus.
Thanks for all of your hard work , Nemo. ❤
I’d like to hear your comments on the blacks and the priesthood with references to this talk.
Yeah do a part 2.
I’ve always wondered about the titles of evangelists, pastors, etc. too.
Is this the format of BYU devotionals now? When I was there 20 years ago, it was everybody in the Marriott Center basketball arena facing the speaker at the center, who stood behind a lectern (similar to General Conference). Now it looks more like a TED talk.
The message is: Let that ark fall!
@hnorth. THAT IS EXACTLY
THE MESSAGE!!
[Jeremiah 3:16, NON-jst]. 🌺🌺🌺
the message is ... let`s scam them all
Yes it is possible to follow only the savior my wife and I have forty five years!
"I do" when getting married should be changed to "Yes Dear". 🙂
It would be so cool if nemo and owen from telltale did a video together
Mormonism does not accept that God is the same yesterday, today and Tomorrow.
The Mormon god was not always god but existed as an intelligence, became a spirit through celestial procreation, obtained a physical body through the process current humanity is undergoing, and eventually obtained a celestial glory.
Mormons are confused about their god.
... but they are convinced that they are *not* confused -- it's those Trinitarians who've got it all wrong ...
Part 2 plz
_Don't ask us if_ *WE WANT A PART 2*
without question we want part 2
Good stuff
Cheers!
That outro worked for me. I clicked 😬
Whoooo!
The power and money game.
Please provide a part 2, thanks!
Thanks!
No problem!
Im waiting for any prophecy..still waiting.....😅
If you want to get rich quick in America, make a church.
Such a horrible gaslighting🙄 His statements are very demeaning to any other Christian- Superiority of Mormonism again. It reminds me of Brad Wilcox's statements🤮
Your editor missed post the link to the video “above your head”.
Thanks, should be fixed now!
Also I edit all the videos myself :)
John 14:6 says "No man cometh unto the Father but by me" it doesn't say we have to go through Apostles Prophets only Jesus
Nunca estuve tan cerca de cristo como cuando me fui de la iglesia
Essentially, the overarching point of this is that you need to bend to our alleged authority, critical thinking error is called appeal to authority which can lead you to false conclusions because the people who claim to be authorities may not actually be authorities and even people who are in fact authorities are not always correct. So this type of thinking puts a chain around your mind and tries to stop your critical thinking processes
My head is spinning from all the circular logic in that lecture. Just because you claim it's logic doesn't necessarily mean it is.
Thanks Nemo for acknowledging the logic gaps and contradictions I've noticed for years. It's nice to know I'm not alone.
He speaks of steadying the ark. He knows not what he speaks. How about D&C 85:7-8 "And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God; 8 While that man, who was called of God and appointed, that putteth forth his hand to steady the ark of God, shall fall by the shaft of death, like as a tree that is smitten by the vivid shaft of lightning." There is much coming to those who think they are appointed by God and are not.
