How to Fix Pen Drawing on Wrong Monitor in Multiple Displays/Dual Monitor Setup With PC & Art Tablet

- Having dealt with this problem a few times I decided I'd share my solutions to what to do when your pen cursor is drawing on the wrong screen. For me my pen would draw on a different monitor when trying to draw on my art tablet. I take you through my troubleshooting process to fix the problem, show you what I tried so that perhaps one of these things can solve the problem for you.

Quick thing for Huion tablet users, if you have the most recent driver, try going into the driver and click the Working Area in your Pen display section, and it should show your tablet on the bottom, and your monitor displays on top. Make sure the little box lines are going from the image of the tablet to the monitor you want to interact with on your tablet. If not, just click the correct monitor display and it should fix the problem!

OMG, this has been frustrating me for months to the point that I didn't want to draw on my tablet anymore. I was going into the display settings and swapping it back and forth; when I was drawing, or watching a video, or playing a game. It was such a pain, and this fixed it!!!! Thank you!

I just upgraded to a new modern PC and I was having a hard time getting my old XP PEN 16 to function with the new PC. All the solutions online didnt work. Messing with registry keys and the like (Which ended up working against my solution) but this video started me on the right track. I reinstalled clip studio on my new PC, and fiddled with the setting which ALMOST worked. Then I removed the registry entries from other fixes and pressed this little button on the Pen Tablet Driver (Honestly, I'd forgotten that sat in the system tray) that said "Support Digital Ink" and BOOM everything worked! Thank you for this video!

Holy crap!! I just switched to two monitors. My husband and I both were going crazy trying to figure out why my stuff wouldn't work anymore. I hardly ever comment on videos but oh my god....thank you so much. I'm in shock. I had finally figured out it was CSP, I just couldn't fathom what setting needed to be changed. I was so bummed when I finally got a dual monitor setup and my tablet was being all weird. This totally fixed it! A million thank yous!!!

Oh my gosh thank you for this 😭 I just bought an expensive hdmi adapter to make 2 external monitors (including my tablet) work on my laptop and my pen wasn't being recognized. I was scared that nothing would work and the money I spent would be useless.

OMG you're a true saviour! I had tons of problems with my BOSTO tablet in Affinity Designer, but it turned out that under Affinity settings there was also tablet mode which I had to change to "Windows Ink" and it finally started working as intended! 🙌 Thank you 3000!

I've had an XP-Pen for a year now and I was never able to figure this out! The tablet would work fine if my screens were duplicated, but I wouldn't be able to watch videos or streams while drawing so my productivity was shot. This fixed my problem right away. THANK YOU!

OH THANK YOU THANK YOU U DON'T KNOW HOW U SAVED ME! I had the same problem but with Blender after a reinstalling windows and it happened to be the same issue. For those with the same problem on Blender: Preferences >Imput > Tablet > Tablet Api: > select Windows Ink.
I actually had to swap back to Wintab, but this video was very helpful. I'm still very new to the software so knowing what settings menus other people had to dig around in was very useful. Thank you for the help!

So this isn't the first time my tablet has had an issue like this, this so I went ballistic trying to fix it Reinstalling drivers from 2013 all the way to the newest driver variant. I even broke it down to disabling all the displays for just the tablet to be on (ultimately this was my original fix). My pen display is roughly 8 years old now so I assumed it was on the fritz and it was finally time to crack out the wallet and pay up.
This small video saved me a whole ton of money. it also rendered my tablet usable again. thank you.

i was having this issue thank you so much. it wasn't exactly my issue but looking into my huion interface thing i found the issue. For my screened tablet it has a screen setting for the work area that your tablet pen covers and i had to switch it from my main monitor to the tablets monitor.

I came here because I was experiencing this with Sketchbook Pro on a Windows PC using a Gaomon tablet.
I recently updated my office space and switched my monitor positions and it threw things off.
Solution: Open Gaomon tablet settings on PC > Workplace > simply click on the workspace/monitor you want to draw on.
I've never encountered this before, but when you said to open your tablet driver it reminded me of Gaomon's little dashboard thing where you can adjust Express Keys.

Thank you! First one worked, but the Settings window was different for me. On my Gaomon PD2200 (as of 3/20/2023) the setting is the monitor icon on the left, then the "Workspace" tab up top. It visually displayed all my monitors, then I just had to click on the rectangle representing my tablet.

I couldn't fix my issues so what I did is I just went into display settings and said display on this monitor only temporarily while I'm drawing. Then all of the signals have nowhere to go but the one screen. Worked like a charm

Thank you so much this fixed everything, I have an old Ugee 2150 Art Monitor and I had to get a new pen since I lost my old one during a move, and I was going crazy trying to sync the new UGEE P55C stylus to the right screen. (I work on 3 monitors, 2 normal and 1 the art screen)
