You pretend there is an eye in the middle, on top where the nose is so both the eyes when you draw are even and look better than having both of the eyes too close together. Sorry I tried to explain. tip I learned, if you can’t get the eyes to look set in the head (especially matching one eye) tilt the one eye towards the center, this way the one eye looks set inside the skull according to the planes of the face etc

For Medibang users! The "Lasso Fill" tool in Medibang is a brush called "Fill" and it works pretty much the same way. Hope that helps! Edit: there are a few asking about what tool it is in other art programs. Unfortunately, I don't know. Sorry!
Another one for smoother lineart. Curved line tool. Just set a point a line starts and the points it curves and an end point and goodbye shaky lines. Godsend especially if you draw on mobile
I use Krita for everything but I have used Clip Studio in 2020. The importing a pose from an image was so fun to use. And from now on I will in fact be calling Goten and Trunks "Lasso Tool and Paint Bucket".
I think I commented on this somewhere before, but for me there is no cheating in art. I realized this very early on when I was working on an art project at my school and visitors came up to me and saw me using Scotch tape on my acrylic painting to get sharp edges. They looked at me stupidly and asked if that was allowed. And at that moment, it "clicked." I hadn't even thought about whether that was cheating and that's when I realized that you should never do that. In art you do what you enjoy and you can take the easiest way to reach your goal. You want to express yourself and the way there is also part of your expression.

sometimes i try to find ways on how to apply ur art advices on my digital art since i can't have csp and i use ibis paint on my phone so these still work for me and is very helpful another great day to learn more :>

if you're on an ipad, get Procreate!! hands down the best drawing app on ios devices, it's just a one time 10$ fee for a program that's on par with Photoshop and clip studio
i would agree with otaku-chan, procreate is super user friendly and everything is shaved down so you're not overwhelmed and can just focus on learning and getting comfy with that. there's also toooooons of tutorials so that's nice too, then when you are comfortable and confident you can choose another program with stronger features to go wild in.

With the color pallet trick, I make my pallet then on a new layer set to color blend mode with a low opacity I wash the pallet with the "vibe" color as a clipping mask then merge those two layers same effect but it keeps the contrast of the original colors. Where just lowering the opacity as you did will lower the contrast of your pallet

I didnt know that we had a lasso fill in csp .Thanks for the enclose and fill tool as well it's much more better then the other version that I was using that wasn't compatible with low opacity lines

I’m in the beginning of my digital art(and art in general having done only sketches on paper before) journey and have watched a lot of ‘teaching da for beginners’ videos but i’ve always felt like I can’t apply their advice to my art because of lack of any formal education in art. I’ve always felt like in order to draw I have to know something I don’t and I couldn’t even tell what it was. But once I’ve stumbled upon your channel my art has become so much better. You encouraged me to switch from paint tool sai to csp and I finished my first digital illustration the day I downloaded csp using the brushes you recommended ( I’ve never finished my illustrations before because midway I didn’t like how it was turning out and it demotivated me to finish it). I always just make a large 2000 x 2000 px canvas and then size the canvas down to the Instagram post size (or Twitter, etc) and then post it like that. But it's admittedly tedious and I might be too dumb to realize a smarter way to do it lol.

the grey bg one is also just nice for your eyes, staring at a mostly white canvas while you're drawing will tire your eyes out faster so if you just wanna relax and sketch smth up grey is much nicer to stare at than pure white

Ooooh your art coloring style is quite similar to mine Anyway I use ~900-1000px canvas size cuz it’s easier to blend. my biggest art tip i have for yall is for ppl who can’t draw hands: Always draw hands bigger than they are supposed to be. it just looks so much better i promise lol also, use the blur tool. i used to hate using the blur tool to paint and blend, but now i love it. i used to use like 30 brushes in a piece but now I use 1 brush. And I use the blur tool for blending. It depends on ur style but don’t ever underestimate the power of blurring lol. also if you’re lazy, when you’re rendering, lower the opacity of the brush to around 50%. AND LEARN THE BASIC COLOR THEORY LOL DONT MAKE UR ART LOOK MUDDY AND ICKY And yes pls use the liquify tool it is a life saver

instagram automatically crops ur photo into a square, but there's this button that lets you maintain the size (if its not too big)

Maybe it can be because you're on the lineart layer? You should move to the color layer you've just created
@@LouchanArt i did, i made the line art into a reference layer but all it did was follow and fill the lineart under

Anyway I use ~900-1000px canvas size cuz it’s easier to blend.
my biggest art tip i have for yall is for ppl who can’t draw hands: Always draw hands bigger than they are supposed to be. it just looks so much better i promise lol
also, use the blur tool. i used to hate using the blur tool to paint and blend, but now i love it. i used to use like 30 brushes in a piece but now I use 1 brush. And I use the blur tool for blending. It depends on ur style but don’t ever underestimate the power of blurring lol.
also if you’re lazy, when you’re rendering, lower the opacity of the brush to around 50%. AND LEARN THE BASIC COLOR THEORY LOL DONT MAKE UR ART LOOK MUDDY AND ICKY
And yes pls use the liquify tool it is a life saver
