- Quick public service - an update to a similar video I posted years ago - it got me AGAIN!
- Go Into CONTROL PANEL (make sure you set view to "large icons")
- click on "PEN AND INK"
- Double-Click on "Press and Hold"
- UNCHECK THE BASTARD!

When I first got a tablet like 7 years ago I ran into this issue and couldn't figure it out for months. It also means that the beginning of almost every pen stroke doesn't actually draw anything so there's always a little gap, unbelievably annoying.
TELL ME HOW PLEASE THE CIRCLE DISSAPEARS BUT THE LINE STILL STARTS WITH A GAP IM ABOUT TO THROW MYSELF OUT THE WINDOW

@@mohmmed1665 Photoshop has some issues with Windows Ink (default tablet driver for Windows 10) for ages now - if you ever noticed slowdowns when clicking menu items, when color picking, missing clicks, like UI is made of glue - it's Windows Ink. It gets better with new PS versions but older driver (Wintab) is still the snappiest, fastest option. How: create a file PSUserConfig.txt , put this line in there: "UseSystemStylus 0" (without quotes) and place this file to %appdata%\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2021\Adobe Photoshop 2021 Settings\ . Restart PS, enjoy better life.

haha indeed been using Wacom pends sins 2003 and still have to check stuff like this from time to time.
Microsoft hide stuff well in there ridiculously unorganised settings, wacom could do a proper software tho, compared to gamer drivers this is antic

I compare this to when Volvo shared the seatbelts with all other car manufacturers. It actually feels bigger but I am so overwhelmed by this no longer being an issue that I can't think of something else.

Dude, I've had this issue since I bought a new Wacom over a year ago and it was such a source a frustration! Needed to pick 4-5 times before I got the right color, and couldn't use liquify unless I used my mouse, it was terrible... I can't believe I didn't investigate this sooner. THANK YOU!

OMG!!!!! I went to not 1, not 2, but 3 different forums to try to fix this problem. When I'd look up pen and ink, it'd take me to a easy to access panel but if you disabled click-hold..... IT DID LITERALLY NOTHING. I was about to start gnawing on my computer screen like a rabid animal istg.

Saw this video before but I also reinstalled windows and forgot how to fix this. Googled windows 10 ink fix, saw the title and was like yup that's the one. Thank you for saving so much time and hassle trying to figure it out again
thank you so much for this. this has drive me SO INSANE. I get so unreasonably mad over this and looking up tutorials that say you need to go to a place in settings but microsoft has moved where that setting is just makes you more annoyed. Ive gotten so pissed off because of this and trying to fix it that i just stop working on whatever i was working on multiple times.

I usually document every workaround i have to apply and find them quickly again, but this time i failed to solve it myself and almost gave up. BTW, it's called "PEN & TOUCH" now. :D
Goddammit Adam, I upgraded to W11 after buying a new workstation and I was getting crazy cause I couldn't get to the pen and touch settings. Doing the large icons trick solved for me. Thanks a loooooooooooooooot!

Works for me in 2023! The key was going through control panel to get to pen and touch instead of the search bar to get to pen and windows ink. 🙌

just got myself windows 11 and this REALLY helped me... I just couldnt find that bloody little window for the pen and touch... what an absolute defect to hide it in a different menu
