Love the excavator. In the army with heavy equipment we would always add an extra chain at the back so if something fails the APC or whatever doesn't join you in the cab. 😂

Wow! You young guys still know the famous SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN Opening. When you bought something dirt cheap you expected a lot of repair work or lot of worn out parts replace.

Ford F-150: Garage kept its whole life. A few minor scratches but runs and drives great. $10,000. No low ball offers. I know what i got.

Given the time and effort put into repairing the excavator, my best guess is there was something wrong with the truck that was beyond repair; perhaps a bent frame.
Yet when it breaks down you call the guys to fix the truck and can't figure out why you have to call them all the time

could have been a num,ber of things wrong with it engine or trans could have been blown and it cost more then the truck was worth to fix copulda had really bad spots in the frame there would have been more effort to repaiur or path then the truck was worth who knows could have been many things

Maybe I missed it, but what was the reasoning for the second excavator? Your little Diggit seemed to be very effective? Just needed someone bigger? More power? From what I can see the Diggit could have handled the holes for the rocks?

I've been a Chevy girl all my life but I sure wish I could have turned you loose on the last one we had. 2012 Silverado, one thing after another, couple thousand dollars in repairs, finally was told that to diagnose the last problem would require a total teardown of the engine JUST to diagnose, not repair (which we did NOT do). When your own mechanic, a genius in business for decades who I would trust with my life, says to give up on the truck, you give up on the truck. I was so mad at it at the end, I'd have loved to see you trash it. Don't worry about the "holier than thous" griping about what you did. I get it. Enjoyed the whole video. Thanks!
The new stuff has problems due to over engineering and electronics. You don’t have those problems with old manual stuff. Still sucks.

Don't know if you have tried this...If you put the front blade down behind you when digging you will have more stability.
Have you ever watched Andrew camarata TH-cam channel before? Those are basically pretty much the same set-up as yours. You just half to check and measure the size and Gap distance between the stud bolts for the ⚙️ and track rollers is all.

He fixes all kinds of old equipment. If he destroys a truck, that means it's something that is not reparable and will be scrap anyway.

When you first started loading that into the truck, I thought, "no way in hell." You exceeded my expectations!
I always try to exceed expectations lol
All these people complaining about him destroying the truck make me laugh. I've been watching long enough to know that he's fixed, what I'd call, some of the most questionable things. Things I wouldn't give a second look at, nor would I even try to repair. And they work. So when I see him rip and tear that truck apart like the Doomslayer, I know it is BEYOND repair or not worth it. Plus, on a side note: He's asserting dominance over the other vehicles in the area that might even be thinking about breaking down.
This is the comment that wins the internet thus far today. I had to assert dominance over the other vehicles lol

“Oversized Mexican Dragline” Buy a older loader backhoe then you will have something you can get something done in a timely manner. A whole lot easier and safer.
Loader backhoes are clumsy. They wouldn’t replace an excavator of any size in my opinion

Got a landscape company here that if machines were new has about 150,000 thousand in 2 machines here. His skidloader rollers are screaming change me please. I have not seen them grease anything and I don't get it. How the fuck to you come out of winter and not have this stuff repaired.

@99Projects I take better care of a 200 dollar weed trimmer than some with 100s of thousands invested. Maybe they don't have a guy on crew that attempts to fix anything but who knows. I'm sure most end up this way is because dealers stop supporting the machines after so many years and owners don't have knowledge or time to fix.
