I find it a big fault in this video to not specify the following : You CAN scold your dog when you catch him pooping inside while he is doing it. It will send the signal : Don't poop here ! Timing is crucial though, dogs only understand what is happening in the moment. 10 seconds later and he won't be able to relate the scolding to the pooping. A rather important bit information in my opinion as a dog trainer for 27 years.
Quick question my dog use to wake me up now for the past two days he's pooped in the house when I get up he tucks his tail and goes in the cage so I find it hard to believe he forgets 10 seconds later. He even tries to distract me with hugs so I won't go in the living room after being in the room with me for hours. He's a clever something. Do you think because I'm pregnant and about to have my baby any day now plays a role. I still show him affection but I don't allow him to sleep with me anymore?
@@beautifulbest8139Bro I agree my dog knows he's not allowed to shit in the house but he thinks it's ok as long as no one's watching but when u catch him he flattens his ears and tucks his tail so it seems like he knows he's doing wrong
Do intact female dogs poop to mark, especially if a litterbox is in the room? My 2 year old dog never really seemed to finish potty training though we have a doggy door, mature dog to demonstrate, & she does go outside. But she goes inside too,& seems to prefer rooms where there is a litter box but not 100%. The car was here first and the dog came in as a puppy. She also has had a little excitation peeing so I've wondered if it's anxiety related ? I wasn't as good with potty training bc I thought it was just puppy stuff but she's 2 now and I'm still finding poop in the basement and attic where there are litterbox but also sometimes other places. It used to be a certain spot in the dining room as a puppy no litter box there, now she goes in less frequented areas of the house.
My dog seems to be pooping out of spite. He was able to hold it for 15 hours when my husband was away overnight, but he will poop indoors if he thinks you're taking too long to put your shoes on or if you don't give him more attention than the other dog.
Hehe thanks for sharing it. you neeed to tell your dog in loud voice and strong body language that this is not the place to do it.Thanks We just launched monkoodog app. We would be very thankful if you could create your pet profile on monkoodog app for regular health updates,.
@@GM-xh6gj She said her husband was away so I don’t think anyone was there to take the dog out, it wasn’t intentional and I think they would have been understanding if the dog went inside after that amount of time
I hope this will help, I just adopted my grandmas 3yr old dog, since she is unable to care for her anymore due to age and health. And it’s sooo important I can teach them to be potty trained to avoid being forced to rehome the 🐶
This video helped me. I took my Puppy outside to poop for a good 30 minutes and he was just sitting around. I took him back inside gave him water and food and placed him in his crater. Waited 15 minutes and took him back outside. I said “POOP” and as soon as he was done pooping and peeing, I gave him a treat and pet him. Then we got back inside and I let him lose so he can play around ❤️ for this recommendation, I downloaded your app Monkoodog too! Thank you!! Edit: He was acting up and wouldn’t poop outside at all even tho we would stay out for 35 minutes. As soon as we got back inside he would go potty. 🤦🏻♀️ but I will be using your techniques from now on 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

My dog is 4 1/2, potty trained her entire life and suddenly over the past few months started peeing and pooping in the house every single time she is not in my eyesight. Vet says that there’s absolutely nothing wrong. She does it when I have friends over or if I don’t let her in my room or anytime I leave the house for any amount of time without putting her in the crate. She does it in the exact same spot every single time and I you stern words and tell her no potty in the house and then I take her outside and reward her for peeing and pooping outside. Have been doing this system for months and no change. I love my dog and I’ve had her for over three years but this is taking such a huge toll on my mental health I am considering giving her up🥺
how it is going with you and the dog? did you give her up? I am having the same issue with BOTH of my 4 1/2 years old dogs, peeing all the time inside the house, ALL OVER the house, I have marble floors and they are destroying it, I am sure the spots on the floor are decreasing the value of my property
Thank you for this amazing video, I've been trying to retrain my 2 huskys ever since getting them, but its been so hard and im not one to be patient, but i will try this out and hopefully this works, thank you again!
We have tried everything and the dog wont even pee outdoors! We stayed at the park for 5h and it didnt even give a drop of pee. It is not even only poops indoors that annoys me. But all the furnitures and toys being peed, even clean clothes laundry baskets that we leave on the floor for a second and turn our back to do something else! It is almost like he feels pleasure on behaving so badly. I gave him away for a half day and i could not stop crying, i asked him back and the person was very kind to agree on giving him back to me but it is not even being a month since it happen and I am starting all over to loose hope on this dog. The dog behaviors is affecting my mental health , my husbands interactions with me and his mood, and overall, having my kids watching us getting stressed over the dog all day long is not being good at all. We are rethinking on this time be more consistent on the idea of giving the dog away even thought i will sure emotionally suffer in the beginning but i know it will be worthy the peace in my house, for my kids and marriage again.
What’s even worse is when no one’s thinks ur trying hard enough or they say “my dog learned in 2 weeks it’s easy to train them “ like all dogs are different and they have different personalities and stubborn levels
Honestly, some dogs are simply too needy for the modern American life. We don’t sit at home all day and just walk dogs. We have jobs, take showers and feed ourselves. After a few months of the dog is not “getting it”, then my advice would be to give it away.

Disagree with step 3. Maybe reduce for a short time while the dog is trained but dogs need a lot of water to digest dry food and wet food is better than dry. Raw is the best and doesn't require as much additional water.
Right. This following video says the opposite. It says wet food is best because dry food makes the dog thirsty and drinks too much. th-cam.com/video/4RqXO17EY-U/w-d-xo.html
I have done all of this with my two Boxers and they will still pee or poop (more rare) in our house. One is 1.5 years and the other just over a year. It does not happen every day but multiple times a week. They give zero warning signs (no whining, no standing at the door, no circling, nothing) and just piss where they please. As young puppies, I took them out all day, about every 30 minutes or so, same door, same location outside. I put in more time then most dog owners. They are only crated at night or during the day when I am running errands and they don't go to the bathroom in their crates. They get plenty of time outside, sometimes for hours while I am playing with the kids or doing yard work. I am at my witz end here and ready to throw in the towel because it's just disgusting and exhausting to constantly clean up urine or the occasional poop from my floors or my children's toys!
@@AdriannaLLopez I don't think it's a Boxer specific thing but I have just been giving them less water, per the vet suggestion. They do not need unlimited access to water despite what people may think. They go out right after being let out of their crates. So far things have been better, but they need to go out hourly for a while. Boxers stay in puppy stage for like 3 years so that needs to be taken into consideration too.
@@shaynabeyer3444 It has been better but still will happen sometimes! I'm hoping it changes with age. They also still happy pee when we have company so I just have them greet everyone outside our front door instead of in the house. Their water is limied to only as much as they need (1oz per lb of body weight).

Great video. I have an almost six month old Chihuahua who is a very timid/fearful dog. I'm afraid anxiety or something else is stopping her from going outside. She is pad trained with the pad at my door. The next logical step is to move to outside but it's not working. Now having said that I have been watching a lot of videos and I have to put in a lot more work on my end with feeding schedule, routine to go outside (I was hoping to just have her go on pee pads on my balcony like all my other Chihuahuas but nope she won't do that), better use of the crate etc. I've just never had a dog like this that won't go outside. I was worried that it's too late and that I trained he to go inside and now it's a fixed behaviour I can't change. Being in the winter months isn't helping either.
My chihuahua mix somehow manages to sneakily poop in the house during the probably 5 minutes I am not actively aware of where she is. It’s like a freaking magic trick. I have been taking her out constantly and she still manages to sneak away and poop. The people I got her from OBVIOUSLY lied about her being house trained. She’s a lovely dog except for this. I don’t want to find surprise poop in my house every day for the next 20 years. :( it’s like she really doesn’t think the outside is for pooping but she pees out there fine. She things my dining room rug is for pooping. She’s very sure that’s its purpose.
Yes definitely she can be trained now. Start training from today and have patience & be consistent. Have you created your pet profile on Monkoodog App? If not do it right away for regular health updates and more. We would be very thankful if you can show love by downloading the app.
My one dog is a serial pooping in the house. She doesn't give any warning. She's quick, too! I haven't been able to catch her . I've never had a 3 year old dog that started going in the house.
Just because you don't catch your dog in the act, does not mean they don't remember. Dogs are smarter than we give them credit. They remember. Take the dog back to the spot. If you have corrected them in the past, they will not want to go back to the spot they soiled.
I took in a 7 to 8yr old street dog that was put into a small kennel for 7 months before I rescued her. She's a Pug/Chihuahua mix and has been through trauma. I've done everything suggested on this video and it's not working. She's wearing puppy diapers inside. When I see her start to mark, pee,or poop I take her outside immediately. She's not spayed yet.(spay appointment is in two weeks) I'm hoping that's why she's being so tough to train. She's not my first street dog. I've been through this with my other dog without problems. Tonight I gated her inside my bedroom while I did dishes. She was in there about 10min. She managed to poop through the tail hole of the diaper on the 3 throw rugs on the floor. I feel like she's a revenge pooper. Normally she doesn't poop inside the house. Most of its marking but she's fully peed a couple times. Any suggestions?
Not sure if anyone's still checking these comments, but I have an 8y/o lab/pit mix, we just moved to a new home... we've never had any issues before, and we've been here about a month with 0 accidents and this week he's suddenly taken multiple poops downstairs, same spot despite being let out regularly. Outside of making this area of the house inaccessible to him I'm not quite sure what else to do. Any advice is appreciated.

How do I get a adopted dog, who was pad trained and had a doggy door? I take her out every hour tell her go potty and she just looks at me, then sits or lays down. Any tips for me ?
Yes for sure. Try to take the pad with you while taking your dog out and make sure he poops outside the house. Whenever he does that reward with love and treat. And if she does it inside u have to slightly scold her by showing her face to the poop. And when she starts doing out of the house on pad then you can slowly slowly withdraw the pad too by rewarding her with big amount of treats. I hope this will help. I literally do everything im supposed to and have had 6 dogs and this current dog absolutely will not stop no matter how much i keep her schedule, praise her, tell her no when she does it, she knows and just runs away or avoids her house poop. I adopted her from an old roommate who didnt take care of her but its too a point where im gonna have to start leaving her outside when i go to work for 12 hrs and its 100+ degrees which i feel horrible about even with shade, or im gonna have to get rid of her and idk if i could live with myself knowing they might put her down. If anyone's got an advice id be greatful for any ideas!
You CAN'T put your dog outside in 100° heat for 1 hour, let alone 12. Even with shave and water. I work at an Emergency vet in Arizona and have seen the effects of heat stroke. Unless you have thousands of dollars to spend on critical care hospitalization, be prepared for euthanasia. Maybe try using use puppy pads in the house for now..I don't mean to sound harsh, I'm sure you want what's best for your dog but please don't put him out in the heat.
How's it going with your dog? I've had 5 and having the same prob with a rescue. Never really had an ongoing issue until this one. Thing needs a catheter or something lol.
With some dogs, telling them "no" is not enough of a correction. When correcting them, it must be an experience they do not want to repeat. Some dogs require a more firm correction.

We have a border collie that we have had for about four years. She is about eight years old. She has been potty trained since we got her. But lately when she doesn’t like something or didn’t get her way, she will sneak off and poop and in our living room or pantry or some hidden place. This morning my husband had to go to the doctor and he didn’t take her in the car with him which usually does but it was kind of an emergency. I was right with her, but she snuck away and pooped in the living room three places. You can take her out to go to the bathroom, but if she’s mad or feel slighted, she will still do this. Can you help us with this?
Thankyou so much for that. Have you created your pet profile on Monkoodog App? If not do it right away for regular health updates and more. We would be very thankful if you can show love by downloading the app.
So, I adopted my Corgi mix (or so we were told mix) 8.5 years ago. She's about 9 in about 2 months. Anyway, she used to go out for a walk/restroomjust fine. She's always been a bit skittish from day 1. We assume she was abused prior to getting the boot to the streets. July 4th has always been hard on her nerves. Again, anyway, after the 4th of July, 2023, I noticed she seemed a bit more skittish than usual. But I could still get her to go out. Then, with all the fireworks throughout the year, she seemed to be ok going out. Just not after dark. July 4th, 2024 came around but this year, I went out for a few hours with my kids. Since, little by little, she's gotten extremely worse. Now, besides her first walk of the day, I can't even get her to go down. However, now it's to the point that it's hard to get her to come out of my room to even go out. Doesn't matter if the sun is out still or not. She just straight refuses. Besides morning of course. *Knock on wood* Luckily, so far, she hasn't gone inside. I've tried everything, I think. She's even walked home without her collar a time or two. So, just shy of being abusive (in my opinion) no matter what I do, it's a BIG NO from her. My adult kids tell me I'm not trying hard enough or in not making/forcing her go. They claim they don't think I'm harsh enough on her. Ummm, I don't want her to hate me and I'd really to try try to figure this out WITHOUT going to jail. 😮 I know, long story, and it's barely getting started. 😮 Anywho, if someone could give me some advice, this old lady would be so grateful. Thank you to EVERYONE who read this far. 😅😂🎉😢
Do you take her out to play? Maybe making it fun to go out besides just to go potty she might get over the fright. As for the fireworks, not much you can do about that as I had a Sister that had a dog that also was scared to death of them . She would actually have to drug it on the 4th and she worked for animal rescue. I also had a dog that was scared of gunshots. Made my Dad mad because she was going to be a hunting dog.
Has an older dog that has already been trying to walk on a leash to go outside two or three times a day to potty. Now we live in a house with a fenced-in backyard and a dog door and for the life of me I can't get him off the porch into the small backyard to go on his own
My 6month old is using the bathroom inside and outside! We finally kicked his habit of crate urinating and defecating and having issues getting him go outside. He was finally getting the hang of it and he got a UTI so i brought him to work. (I work in a vet clinic) and the doctor said to expect piddles around the house because he is constantly straining to potty. Well hes done with medication and im having to re train his stubborn butt. Hes deaf and knows sign language so its hard to praise him without the treats if i didnt have any handy. 😖 Super frustrated. My 5 other guys were super easy to train ive never had this issue before..

my dog is 6 and he does not care about treats when he is outside. he had accidents in the house, however we got a retractable leash and now he’s had more space to go to the bathroom and he went for a week or 2 straight! i’d try to give him treats right after but he had no interest :( so instead i hugged him a lot and said good boy. but one day he just stopped using his schedule and started going inside again. like he got lazy to go outside
I have a 13 yo jack russell Chihuahua. He doesnt bark or anything and used to whine when he needed to go out. Now he just pees in the house and i think he's just marking his territory. I don't know what to do.
You shouldnt freak out on them but definetly scold them and tell them bad boy and dont potty inside with a stern voice , you dont want to scare them but let them know this behavoir makes you unhappy
I had already trained my puppy before but ever since he got sick, he never poops out anymore. I still take him out at the same time and put hin in the same spot to poop buy he doesn't. Instead, when we get back inside the house, that's when he does his business. Is there anything I could do?😢
We have adopted my daughter’s eight month old Jack Russell terrier. The dog was outside to pee fine take her on the lead as soon as we come in the house she poops. How do I break her of this?
I do all of these and my 3 year old dog still goes in the house. She’ll go outside when I take her, but will not hold it if I’m at work or during the night. My apartment is starting to smell awful even though I clean the messes up properly. Not sure what else I can do, it is getting difficult to come home to new messes everyday.

Dude my dog has been potty trained for years, now he's 13 and suddenly shitting all in the house. I'm thinking he's depressed. My dad recently died, and we're all sad around here, but my dad was the main one taking care of my dog. My dog literally just lies there and shits, when he used to bark for us to let him out. But when we put him outside, he's still vocal about wanting to come back in, since he's spoiled and a house dog. I'm thinking his age, or depression could be a factor here. Is there any way to fix this? The vets say he's fine
Age can definitely one reason. By retraining of dogs can be done at any age. So just follow the instructions in the video, it will definitely help. And we have just come up with the app. Show some love by downloading the app
My German Shepherd is doing this exact same thing. She always went outside but now seems to just shit and pee everywhere and I don’t get it. Help!!! Half the time she won’t even go outside anymore and she usually can’t wait to go out. 😞 she is only 7.5 years old. She especially does this at night or when/where nobody is around to see. Everything in this video, I already do and always have done . I say “ready to go potty/pee pee/poo poo outside “ then I say that’s a Good good girl and pet generously when she comes back inside. The only thing I have done wrong is finally scolded her after like 3 months of it. That still doesn’t explain why it started 😞
@@cerealrakist7360 Same here except I have two 17 month old German Shepherds. They have been potty trained for a long time since they were 10 to twelve weeks old. Then it stormed and they started going in our hangar. We live in an apt inside a hangar. They have two dog doors to go outside, but it rained and stormed for three days. We first trained them when they were six and seven weeks old let them go in the dirt outside our apt in the garage. Gave them treats. Then about six months later we put up a fence where they couldn't go there as the dirt area was starting to smell. . They had a few accidents in the hangar, but eventually learned to go in fenced yard outside through the dog doors. Then a couple weeks ago it stormed for three days and one or both have been doing this for two weeks and they will not stop. We had to put up a Go Pro camera to record who was doing the poo. It can be sunshine outside and we can be here or not here, they will go potty in same area. I have caged them to let them see it for an hour. I have scolded them saying no... go outside and pittle! When they do this outside I praise them. I have put their food out there in this area to let them eat. They will poo by the food bowl. I have tried to make it a crowded area or a place to play with them.... nothing works. I think I am about to invest in an alert system and when they trigger it I can say, no go outside. They are house pets but are probably going to be outside dogs with a dog house if this keeps up.
@@shannaj8896 Both my dogs are using the house as a bathroom. They both know to go outside. Not about to reward them for crapping in halls or under my bed. They both no better. Good weather outside. Maybe they're just lazy
Dogs feel your pains and often they respond with..things like this when depression is aparent. Remember they dont ..or often understand, time to retrain. But old dogs often dont learn new things. It will be hard but they know when you have a loss of life...I experianced this with the loss of my father. My BUDDY ...dog was doing the same thing .. he / she the dog. Feels what you feel. I know its complacated. but i hope your dog will be ok. Steve

My dog is like a toddler. There is no sniffing, no specific spot he poops, no circles, nothing. He will be walking or running along, get the urge to poop, he will stop, no warning, poop and take off again. I have absolutely no warning its going to happen. I've adopted a dog that has a problem going outside, not only does she use the bathroom inside but freezes up when i say come on lets go outside and potty. She won't come to me so i have to go to her to put her on the leash and then carry her out. There have only been a couple days she didn't go in the house and I've had her for a month. I have pads down that she pees on but she poops other places. Please help i can't have a dog that goes in the house.😓 I have tried several ways and got her a crate that she seems not to mind at all but like i said..she doesn't like going out. What do i do??
Since you say you adopted the dog is it possible that the dog suffered abuse? If so you will have to work on trusting you. Huge amounts of praise goes a long way as well as irresistible treats. It seems to me that this dog wasn't taught to go outside before you adopted it and quite possibly neglected and experienced harsh behavior when being trained by previous owners. Going outside might have resulted in her being thrown out the door for example or (?)..Creating a positive environment, patience, and living up to your commitment as an adoptive parent is everything. A month is absolutely too soon to expect a dog to adapt to a new environment, new people, sounds, and being retrained to your expectations. Do the scheduling, take the dog out every 45 minutes, praise endlessly when achieving potty habits IMMEDIATELY and don't expect so much so soon!!
My older dog doesn't feel when he has to poop until it's already almost out. Sometimes I can see the poop and I'll send him out and he just walks around the yard and lays in the grass.
Oh! Trust me it is a relief. Atleast your dog is capacble of releasing it out by himself. I have a dog who has a spinal injury and she can't relief herself all by herself. 2 months age is very young. As your puppy is still in growing age. He must get distracted with the surroundings or new smells or people around him. i do all of these and my dog STILL insists on pooping in the house as soon as im not looking for even just 2 minutes. I feed him at the same time everyday, I take him out same times everyday, some days I take him more depending on how much he sits by the door. He will go in the morning outside fine but anytime after that he just doesnt go out no matter how long i have him outside. Its frustrating and ive broken down more times than i can count because I have PTSD relating to dog poop and Im the only one that can potty train him. I will take him out when he starts doing the tell tale signs and as soon as we are outside its play time to him and not poop time. Im just so frustrated and all the trainers Ive asked told me to just keep going but its been MONTHS and its not fixed.

I recently took in my daughters two year old golden retriever. At my daughter house all they had to do was open the slider and let the dogs go out and do their business. This went on all night. My dog has been doing her business between 12 pm and 5 am in my house. I take her food up after her feedings at 5 pm. I’m not awake when she does this. It’s been two weeks now that I wake up and clean up her Pooh and pee. Idk how to stop this. I take her out by 7:30 am again at 12 and 6 pm and one last walk at 10:30 pm. She has her own area in the yard to do her business too and all she does is pee. I would think by 10:30 pm she’d be ready to poop? She is also in heat and I definitely will be getting her fixed very soon.
My old dog is just peeing in the house not popping we have tried to stop as much water but it dose not help we take out regularly 3 times a day but at night time he will just take a pee in the kitchen and we wake up and it’s a lot but we take him out and still hose what to do
Thats why i only adopt old dogs fron bow own that are already potty trained try to get this pup to poop and pee outside for a year and every single time i take him 2 full hours thats plenty of time to sniff poo and pee! My older dog does it on command, tirr everything but thing ima get rid of my younger pup

Hi, I recently took ownership of a eight months dog. It has really bad background story, because of that it gets startled whenever I take her outside to poop. It didn't poop at house at too. What can i do?
I honestly think my dog is untrainable! I adopted my dog two weeks ago from the shelter. She chose two certain spots in my house to go pee and poop, so I put pads there. She isn’t “pad trained” but she pees and poops on the pads (almost) every time as long as I have them in one of those two places. I take her out every hour. 9 times outta 10 she won’t pee or poop no matter how long we stay outside and as soon as we come in she goes straight to one of her spots to pee or poop. I call her name quickly and ask if she wants to go back outside and she always does, but once again I take her out and she doesn’t do anything. Sometimes I have her out for up to an hour and a half and she won’t do anything, even if I stopped her mid squat right before coming out (so I know she has to go) Please help me!! I’m desperate. And I’m going to go download your app right now.
@@smalls9742 she is mostly potty trained. She doesn’t go in the house anymore unless it’s at night and I don’t wake up when she jumps off the bed. At that point she goes right in front of the door.
I really need help, my boyfriend and his dog move in with me weeks ago and she just keeps peeing a lot everywhere, kitchen, living room, bedrooms no matter what we do and how long we keep her outside she just do it inside😭😭😭even my floor is getting damaged

Can you or anyone help? My dog is 5 months and he is a large dog. His bladder should be bigger now but he stil pisses inside. Its so freaking frustrating cuz he needs 7 walks a day to have no accidents. MY biggest issue is leaving him alone. I always come home to a massacre. Doesnt matter if i fed him n gave him little water….. walked him.he finds a way to make big pee ponds + poops everywhere. He cant do cages and im at the point of looking for a new owner for him. He is not my first dog, just my first dog with a lot of work.
I got a German shepherd adult and I been potty training him. To go to the Bath room in one area In the yard But he goes then after I leave him alone he goes again but somewhere else and I’m using. The crate to potty train and giving Him treats when he goes he seem like he is picky to where he wants to go to the bathroom and I been doing this for like a very long time ever since he was small. This Is the third time I’m Potty training him I feel like giving Up And let Him go where he want too. I wonder if I’m doing something wrong or is he just picky.

I had a dog that would not go in the dog house when it rained and stormed... I found out he was scared of the storms. I felt really bad later. So I will put my two GSD out and let them be outside dogs, but when it rains or storms I will bring them in even if I had to cage them through the night and let them out to pittle when they wake me on a stormy or rainy night. I don't like storms myself.

I walk this little Dog ( not mine) first thing am. After Breakfast a longer walk x2 more, then last walk pm. She comes in and poops 😮💨 She is improving though so I have hope.
i had recently shifted with my lab at a home , earlier he used to poop in the toilet only and now he is not at all ready to poop at a new place and he is peeing on random places

Yeah, I've been doing all of that exactly for the last 6 months with my puppy I e had since she was 8 wks old and she is completely still pooping and peeing in the carpet in the living room every chance she gets....she goes out like 20 times a day to the backyard and she gets praise still for pooping and peeing outside. I keep her in sight all day. She does zero signaling before she pees or poops in the living room, she's playing with me and then boom.... pee, no circling, no sniffing, no whining. I think my dog is just really stupid perhaps? Nature's Miracle and other brands will never really get rid of the scent, she always goes in the same spot even after I drench it everytime. I even sprayed vinegar, oil and peppermint and lemon oil there, doesn't help. She just really enjoys doing it I guess. She hates her crate, always has. First night she cried 6 hours straight without stopping. She did that for 3 weeks, we got no sleep, had to sleep with ear plugs. After 4 months old we let her sleep outside her crate and she never had accidents in our room but she woke me up at least twice a night to go out for a couple of months and even now at 8 months old she wakes me up at 6am, so she still can't hold it for a basic amount of time. She's extremely crazy and rough with my other husky and he doesn't correct her agressive behavior. She is a digger too and destroyed my yard. I think some dogs are not meant to kept as pets....she might be one of them. When we would leave the house for 1-3 hours at a time only we would give her treats, a toy, and a kong with her in her crate....when I got home she had obviously been trying to escape....chews the wire, destroyed the bed, scratched the tray, salivated heavily....every single time. I'm at my wits end.
NO dog is stupid they are very smart. I understand your pain. But consistency is the only key here. Just hang in there. And we have just come with monkoodog app please review it and let us know.
May have to call cesar milan. I'm having similar issues with my mothers dog. Except with her dog the main issue is consistency. She treats it like a baby and it scats in every corner of the house.

I find it a big fault in this video to not specify the following :
You CAN scold your dog when you catch him pooping inside while he is doing it.
@@OhiosGrimReaper same here, he hides it or tuck his tail as well.
Don't be fooled, dogs have a good memory, and they remember when and where they have soiled in the house.
Hehe thanks for sharing it.
you neeed to tell your dog in loud voice and strong body language that this is not the place to do it.Thanks

a dog holding it for 15 hrs seems abusive
@@GM-xh6gj She said her husband was away so I don’t think anyone was there to take the dog out, it wasn’t intentional and I think they would have been understanding if the dog went inside after that amount of time

I love my dog and I’ve had her for over three years but this is taking such a huge toll on my mental health I am considering giving her up🥺
Have you taken her to obedience training? An animal behavior specialist would be way better than a vet.
Give up the dog, not worth the stress
how it is going with you and the dog? did you give her up? I am having the same issue with BOTH of my 4 1/2 years old dogs, peeing all the time inside the house, ALL OVER the house, I have marble floors and they are destroying it, I am sure the spots on the floor are decreasing the value of my property

did it work?
My dog can’t seem to differentiate between outside and inside … 😭

@@MmmK-f2vTerrible advice
Disagree with step 3. Maybe reduce for a short time while the dog is trained but dogs need a lot of water to digest dry food and wet food is better than dry. Raw is the best and doesn't require as much additional water.
Everyone has their experience and their own ways. We've collected this information based on facts, studies, and some vet's advices+experiences.
@@Monkoodog would much prefer to hear a logical explanation instead of "based on fact".
I just adopted a 6 month boxer and am nervous about this. Did you find a solution??
@@AdriannaLLopez I don't think it's a Boxer specific thing but I have just been giving them less water, per the vet suggestion. They do not need unlimited access to water despite what people may think. They go out right after being let out of their crates. So far things have been better, but they need to go out hourly for a while. Boxers stay in puppy stage for like 3 years so that needs to be taken into consideration too.

Omg! My 6 month old chihuahua will not go outside but I feel holds it in till midnight to poop not on the pad but next to the pad! 😢
I took my dog out per usual, but two days in a row, he popped in the house/cage within 5-10 minutes of being let back in

Really appreciate your content , your channel is under rated
I appreciate that!
He needs a bit of training. We recommend you to seek one and for more personalised queries you can join our Monkoodog community by downloading our app and along with that get in contact with other pet parents around the globe.

I have a English shepherd and this was very helpful thank you
I literally do everything im supposed to and have had 6 dogs and this current dog absolutely will not stop no matter how much i keep her schedule, praise her, tell her no when she does it, she knows and just runs away or avoids her house poop.
You could try a diaper or keep them gated in one section of the house with a pee pad
Some dogs require a more firm correction.
awsome video... I agree.. well done and well made video.... We are now working on this on all levels.

@@Monkoodog ok☺️😊
So, I adopted my Corgi mix (or so we were told mix) 8.5 years ago. She's about 9 in about 2 months. Anyway, she used to go out for a walk/restroomjust fine. She's always been a bit skittish from day 1. We assume she was abused prior to getting the boot to the streets. July 4th has always been hard on her nerves. Again, anyway, after the 4th of July, 2023, I noticed
she seemed a bit more skittish than usual.
Now we live in a house with a fenced-in backyard and a dog door and for the life of me I can't get him off the porch into the small backyard to go on his own
This is literally going to help me so much
DID IT HELPPP???
Nope they just always wanna poop
Thanks for sharing. We do understand the struggle and effort involved in training a deaf dog. Just stay consistent it will definitely work. Thanks

my dog is 6 and he does not care about treats when he is outside. he had accidents in the house, however we got a retractable leash and now he’s had more space to go to the bathroom and he went for a week or 2 straight! i’d try to give him treats right after but he had no interest :( so instead i hugged him a lot and said good boy. but one day he just stopped using his schedule and started going inside again. like he got lazy to go outside
Change his treats to something he loves. Hugs aren't effective enough dogs aren't humans. Walk your dog, thats what they really want!!
Totally agree. The dog needs to be told that potting inside is not ok. If you don't correct them, they will never learn.
I had already trained my puppy before but ever since he got sick, he never poops out anymore. I still take him out at the same time and put hin in the same spot to poop buy he doesn't. Instead, when we get back inside the house, that's when he does his business. Is there anything I could do?😢
My dog does the same, did you trained him if so please tell me😢
My Australian Shepherd Siberian Husky mix stop going outside 3 months ago goes in house she 9 months

Steve
Hi, is it okay to carry your dog/puppy outside to the garden for example once I see Him circling, sniffing and other habits before potty?
Because if I try to call for him to come with me outside he wouldn’t follow
Yes thats absolutely fine but make sure you make your dog habitual to the place where you want your dog to poop. And dont forget to pick poop from the garden.

My dog is like a toddler. There is no sniffing, no specific spot he poops, no circles, nothing. He will be walking or running along, get the urge to poop, he will stop, no warning, poop and take off again. I have absolutely no warning its going to happen. He can be outside for half an hour and as soon as he comes inside, he poops. Its beyond frustrating and I can't figure out how to stop it. He is 8 months old. Any advice?
One of my dogs never whines or circles for attention she will just go! She even has done it on me with out posturing just lay on me and poop .
Please help i can't have a dog that goes in the house.😓
I have tried several ways and got her a crate that she seems not to mind at all but like i said..she doesn't like going out.
We have to manually help her to do her business.
Also, you'r dog is at good age now so yeah with age such things comes around.

My puppy is already trained. Can I use these methods to retrain her?
yes
I have done this all steps before watching only but the dog (German Shepherd) which was I adopted 2mnths back and her age is nearly 14months but there is no use.. 😞
2 months age is very young. As your puppy is still in growing age. He must get distracted with the surroundings or new smells or people around him. So, training a puppy for potty training is such a big task that requires a lot of patience. Don't stop your training just because your dog is not responding. Keep the training continue and wait for the progress.
Just try the steps shared in this puppy house training video - th-cam.com/video/hUq2q-ujM3k/w-d-xo.html

What is the Monkoodog app for?
When I take my dog out, all he wants to do is play and eat any and everything…then goes back in the house to pee
On monkoodog app you can create your pet profile and get notified for dog vaccination, medication, Grooming like bathing, combing etc. along with that you can track your dog weight and growth. And more to it you can find nearby pet service providers and pets also. Create your pet profile you will love it.
You have to mention your dog and scold your dog near to the pee area. And this will work. Dont forget to treat your dog whenever it pee outside
i do all of these and my dog STILL insists on pooping in the house as soon as im not looking for even just 2 minutes.

Very informative

Hi, I recently took ownership of a eight months dog. It has really bad background story, because of that it gets startled whenever I take her outside to poop. It didn't poop at house at too. What can i do?
adopted*
Sometimes I have her out for up to an hour and a half and she won’t do anything, even if I stopped her mid squat right before coming out (so I know she has to go)
Please help me!! I’m desperate. And I’m going to go download your app right now.

"Oh No" Edit came out of Nowhere 😭
I got a German shepherd adult and I been potty training him. To go to the Bath room in one area In the yard But he goes then after I leave him alone he goes again but somewhere else and I’m using. The crate to potty train and giving Him treats when he goes he seem like he is picky to where he wants to go to the bathroom and I been doing this for like a very long time ever since he was small. This Is the third time I’m Potty training him I feel like giving Up And let Him go where he want too. I wonder if I’m doing something wrong or is he just picky.
Please do a video on how to train your dog to use their doghouse! I’ve looked all over google and TH-cam for some advice but I can’t find anything!
My dog just sits in the rain and barks. I’ve made her into an outside dog because she poops inside if you’re not babysitting her 24/7 so I couldn’t take it. I don’t have time to train her, but I will try these techniques. But I really would love to know how to train her to use a doghouse. Please help! 😊❤️
We will try to make video on that.

I don't like storms myself.
my dog has been an indoor dog she pees poops on pad for last 3 yrs now shes peing on kitchen floor and pooping in living room same spot i clean it with bleach , she wont stop ????
I'd say she doesn't want to go potty inside anymore. If thats not the case she could have a UTI
My dog never eats until 20 minutes after using the bathroom
I walk this little Dog ( not mine) first thing am.
After Breakfast a longer walk x2 more, then last walk pm.
She comes in and poops 😮💨
She is improving though so I have hope.
i had recently shifted with my lab at a home , earlier he used to poop in the toilet only and now he is not at all ready to poop at a new place and he is peeing on random places
I want a dog so bad!!!
Good luck! You can try fostering, there is little to no cost and it's a great way to kind of have a dog but not permanently, especially if you can't get one anywhere else. Great luck!! 😉
Beware of fleas once you have them you cant go back
@@lunarsprinkle6580 I already know.
they are a joy 10000%, BUT they are like a baby. patience is key and coming from a dog mom of 2... you say you want one until you have them. they can be so frustrating but a ball of joy at the same time. OH and don't forgot COSTLY. lol I love my babies but they are a pain in my ass most of the time.
@@ivannagonzalez1117 I know I worked with dogs for years. I know all to well what it takes lol.
Hi my name is Angela I just take my dog to go pee and he ran off I told him to sit I love you video he doesn't listen to me when I told him sit
Haha, quite amusing. Jokes aside, we recommend maybe your dog needs a bit of training. And if you are from Delhi NCR, India- you can simply download our app and contact us as we provide range of services here from grooming, training, sitting to veterinary.
🤣🤣bro my whenever my dog tries to poop inside i immediately take him outside but then he stops his poop
If he doesn't poop outside , get him inside and take him out again after 5-10 minutes. and stand there still to keep and eye on him and don't engage eve if he jumps on you to play.
I got a new puppy so my two yr old husky now poops inside like the puppy. I trained the puppy to go outside and my 2 yr old still goes inside. He will literally not poop and then wait for us to come in and immediately poop inside 😫😭

We adopted a 3 year old Shih Tzu she is so adorable and friendly but i have no idea how to train her to pee on a puppy pad when she is inside the house
1:58 thought this was Walter White
Coooool
My dog is so hyper outdoors and never wants to use the bathroom when I am present.
First you need to calm your dog before and during the walks. And then work on its poop and pee training.

So need to train your dog to poop wherever you want. If you dont stop your dog then it will feel that's the place to do.

😑😑😑
I was eating when my brother played this video
hehe...
So, don't give them wet food, but give them dry food with water ??? oookkkk.
It's been 3hrs since I'm out with my dog for poop nd it's 5:30 am...Mine just eats stupid stuffs 😭
I am reading this thinking we have the same dog..
Not working
My dog holds it in on purpose and immediately poops and pees on the couch
Don’t ever beat your dog into submission.
