It was the late 70s. He's right about them naming the team with the "6" to give the perception of six full teams. However I do think there was a "1" and "2", East coast West coast.
I’m probably wrong in this, but didn’t a SEAL from the Vietnam era by the name of Richard Marcinko create a couple of teams that were numerically incongruent to do what you had said and make the enemy think they were bigger than they were, then got himself in trouble for his creation of red cell which was to test naval installation security and embarrassed so many people it got him burned? Can’t remember if he was responsible for team 6 or not. Been so long since I had a fascination with this. He wrote tons of books and did a bunch of interviews a while back.

SAD is now SAC. And guys who leave ISA, DELTA, DEVGRU, leave to join SAC, SPECIFICALLY... SOG. special operations group. Which is under SAC. well one of a few under SAC.
You should look at SAD/SAC (Special Activities Division/Center) they are the CIA's black ops, comprised of two groups, SOG which is a paramilitary unit and PAG which are more for political influence, cyber warfare etc. best example I can reference of SAC is Operation Kayla Mueller in 2019 some SAC operators were with Delta and also performed recon and intelligence gathering before the operation, they were on the ground hours and maybe even days before Delta and 75th Rangers, hiding right in the enemy's backyard, fucking legends
Yes that is true more commonly known that's why they came up with the title seal team six and they actually have one and four now and red cell I believe is the most secretive

I watched Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, and played Modern Warfare 2. So where’s my tan beret thingy?
Not top 3!
I've heard that many Devgru Operators join Delta Force because they do more crazy things
Blow this up!! I’m trying to get support for a milsim video game that I believe can not only be better than all of our current FPS shooters, but can actually revitalize the quality of games that come out.
On top of that, I want the story to reflect the reality of war and conflict along with weaving in historical battles and stories. Of course it’s still a game so we can still get creative.
With the help of this community we can make sure the game gets EVERYTHING right!!! Movement, shooting, communications, Lifestyle, literally everything. Please blow this up so I can’t paint the bigger picture for you all
Replace warzone please
Recommendations go over the units you have been with and talk about what it was like at those units
For all the classified stuff, just have your marine character speak. Have your friend agree or disagree like he understands the "rawr ra-rawr" language. Then just move on like you answered the question properly 🤣
Love the content. Love the atmosphere you bring. Thanks. 🇨🇦🇨🇦
In defense of DEVGRU, I think they are only popular because of the raid on Bin Laden. My dad was an Army brat so he loved all things Delta, I knew more books by Delta operators than SEALs growing up. I guess what I’m trying to say is DEVGRU is my generation’s Delta Force. Who knows, few years from now 24th STS might be the new thing.
My grandpa was a part of the Green Berets in Nam, Afghan, and a bunch of other places. He Past on but he was a good man and I fell like the Green Berets should get a little more credit then they do
Could you react to 19K? I think the seal team 6 thing was made during the Cold War due to spies. It’s been a while since I heard the story.
Don’t have the much knowledge of armor but I’ll try!
It was the late 70s. He's right about them naming the team with the "6" to give the perception of six full teams. However I do think there was a "1" and "2", East coast West coast.
Fantastic, thanks for the learnings 🖤
Thank you!
Marcinko created Seal Team 6 and Red Cell. He used Delta and Beckwith as a template for 6.
For future reference/fun fact, that "secret internet " exclusive to inter-military compounds, such as SIPRnet or JWICS is called Intranet. That's actually precursor to today's internet.
Kind of disappointed you guys didn't cover FOX HOUND in this one, as I'm pretty sure they're the most elite, most secret unit on the planet.... Maybe that's who you skipped over and said you couldn't talk about.
Still a sweet vid though. Stay Awesome
I appreciate you! More still to come with everything!
Foxhound from metal gears solid? Lmao
1:17 I appreciate u showing love to the 3rd bat. Never get any Rec.
Love the batt boys
It's like JSOC..."Don't talk about working for JSOC we aren't real...also feel free to visit our gift shop that literally has our name plastered all over it." lmfao
Lmfaooooo Foreal!
David Goggins was an active Seal that tried to get into Delta but he failed selection
Keep up the great work
Thank you!!
My dad was a signalman in Vietnam and he said no one really knew about the seals but UDT were bad dudes and everyone knew they did crazy stuff
Devgru, if you're so super secret squirrel, stop writing all these books and do all these movies.
C'mon man, at least try to be super secret 🤣
Lmaoooooo
only 1 devgru operator wrote a book, learn the difference between the teams and THE team🤧… delta writes em too they just don’t sell.😂
@@justshark9977 I’ve read at least three books from Seal team 6, 2 guys on the bin Laden raid, and there was another one
Also the founder of team 6 Dick Marcinco (sp?) Passed on Christmas day this year
us military units you have probably never heard of would be an interesting video
We can do that but could also be boring 😂
Niko is defo a mix between Navy/Coast Guard/Hall Monitor 2nd Battalion
I got addicted to the military vids
It’s fun stuff!!
Should do one on National Guard Special Forces Groups
BRO LOVE THIS SHIT.. LETS GO
Thank you!!!
My dad was Delta. Some of the stories I have heard is just crazy.
ISA makes James Bond look like Dora the Explorer
Lmfaooooo
I’ve gotten so busy with life that I barely have time to be on youtube but I always have time to say NIKKO TO A MIL LETS GOOOOOOO 🏆🏆💪
I APPRECUATE YOU SO MICH FOR IT!!!
Army reloads in different games reaction pls
Fasho!!!
Seals where originally U.D.T ( underwater demolition team)
I would totally like to see you at a shooting range! Shoot that shit! lol As an historian I totally love the history here. Dad was a sniper in vietnam....yes he says he spent most of his tour filthy!
TH-cam don’t like shooting! Lol
@@nikkoortiz of course they don't! They suck at times!
SAD is now SAC. And guys who leave ISA, DELTA, DEVGRU, leave to join SAC, SPECIFICALLY... SOG. special operations group. Which is under SAC. well one of a few under SAC.
Fairly correct
So which one of these units smoked JFK?
👀
You should look at SAD/SAC (Special Activities Division/Center) they are the CIA's black ops, comprised of two groups, SOG which is a paramilitary unit and PAG which are more for political influence, cyber warfare etc. best example I can reference of SAC is Operation Kayla Mueller in 2019 some SAC operators were with Delta and also performed recon and intelligence gathering before the operation, they were on the ground hours and maybe even days before Delta and 75th Rangers, hiding right in the enemy's backyard, fucking legends
Then imagine there's the secret inside the secret
Imagine being a guy in delta hearing about an even deeper unit called GHOST or some shit
Lol
All secrets…we don’t extinct
Here's how you can improve your content. Keep doing what you're doing, I love all of it.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you for your survise!!!! 💪💪🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💪💪
Thank you for youT support l!
Yes that is true more commonly known that's why they came up with the title seal team six and they actually have one and four now and red cell I believe is the most secretive
I'd love to see a reaction video to literally anything about Richard Marcinko and OP-06D/Red Cell.
We’ll check more stuff out!
@@nikkoortiz thank you for reading the comments mate. I want to say thank you. I'm a Disability Rights Advocate and one thing that comes up a lot is the huge disconnect between what people living with a disability experience and how to relate it normal people. It's not a one to one picture, but I think the stuff that military and security professionals subject themselves to is just as far outside the normal experience of most people as living with a disability. Watching you has made me a better advocate just by reiterating that it is always possible to relate complex or niche information to people.
And be funny.
yeah i am pretty sure that marcinko was already done writing the book about founding team 6 before he was done writing the selection and training process

This video is dope af man I have never heard of ISA or SAD and I got to learn a little more of delta so that's some great shit man. A video idea for y'all is the surviving the cut series from discovery Channel and if you can do 160th soar green platoon first.
Thank you so much!
Very cool video man. Just curious would you ever consider doing some airsoft gameplay with some other active or ex military friends
Maybe!!!
All great content and I believe the Isa is deeply underatted for what they do.
I know from a mate that there is a section of the SAS and SBS that go of and do secret squirrel shit for 5 and 6 It picks the best from both units so I am told and have great funding and all the extra cool toys. But this is interesting video and didn't know about ISA and that just reminded me of a chat I had over ten years ago now
Hmmm that is interesting
My Uncle actually served in the Army Rangers during Vietnam - Straight up, I could see the 'embrace the suck' went overboard now that I look back on it.
Embraaaaaaaace
Thanks to you guys videos my Son is really interested into joining and going for 35L.
My grandpa was delta force as a marine in Vietnam
The elite I would say is Delta but secretive I would say ISA or the Army Ranger Regimental Reconnaissance Company
My man!!!! The video I've been waiting on because the majority of the civilian population has no clue who ISA is or even knew they were a thing at all.
Yup!!
Do a video on EOD units in the different branches and what tier they would fall under
Lookin into EOD now!
I know that delta are based of the SAS but I wouldn’t say completely based off.
