Thank you. But, I didn't get them from your mums book. If I had taken them from your mums book, I would most definately have credited her. The photos I used were given to me on a disc quite a few years ago. I have them on my computer still.
@@2011philb Thanks for replying. My family are from Loftus. The photos with comments on them are lifted straight from mum’s books. My late parents spent a great deal of time researching these photos. Speaking to locals, our neighbours. It was a very humbling experience for them as they were made welcome by so many families eager to share their stories and photos. I am hoping you understand where l am coming from? Imagine if it had been your mum’s work and she wasn’t recognised for the fact.
@@davejohn1588 I do understand. And credit to your mother. But like I said had I known where these photos came from I would have credited. But I was given a disc well over10 years ago, full of old photos from all over the area. I even did a slideshow of the old local iron and steel industry using the photos from them. I maybe got a couple from facebook open pages. Also, it was done as a hobby, to share images from around here. I have not and did not do it to make anything from them. If as you say, some of these photos were from ones used in your mothers book. I did not mean to cause offence to her or anyone else. A I said it was done as a bit of fun and a hobby.
@@2011philbPhil, I must admit it was nice to see her work, brings back fond memories of home. It is good to promote the history of Loftus. I am sure mum would be pleased. Enjoy your hobby.
