- A new documentary that goes really deep into the work of the developers on Cyberpunk over the years, the initial reception over the years and how they want to deliver with Phantom Liberty.
Produced by the ARD, which is main TV channel in Germany and something like by them this is quite rare.
Hardly any other game has been as fervently debated as "Cyberpunk 2077". It came out late, was hardly playable on some consoles, and the designers received death threads afterwards.
Now they are planning their comeback: with "Phantom Liberty". Once again, superstar Keanu Reeves is in the game - and Hollywood icon Idris Elba.
"Inside the Game" follows the designers of CD Projekt Red not only at their workspace in Warsaw, but also during the first presentations of the demo version in Los Angeles and Cologne.
After the launch of Phantom Liberty and patch 2.02, played it for 200+ hours, this game is officially on my top 5 best games of all time. Preem work, choom.
💯💯
This is how you fix a game, spending time reviewing each error, I have a lot of respect for the entire CD Projekt red team
Pawel's Notebook should be in a Museum, that thing is true relic of gaming
Imagine: you worked 5-6 years on the game, with all the overhours, then you see the Release...and following all the hate and Shitstorm hits you...and then the Corona Virus come...
Please Imagine...how strong you mental health need to be, to manage such a comeback!!!!
Respect to you CD Project Red...and all you workers!
4:50 man I can’t imagine this level of stress and mental pain. Thanks for pulling through all that
Man i feel for all those ppl who worked on the game. Can tell their emotions went into this game and it shows when i play the game. Myself i see the game as a masterpiece by just walking around in game with all the sounds and mechanics. Still believe CDPR cares for their gamers but i understand its a Company that has to meet certain time restraints. With all the work they done i just hope they bring something else after DogTown. 💜
It is so sad to hear these developers getting death threats from gamers, don't these people understand that its a just a game and there is no need to threaten lives. I am very glad they fixed the game.
I wish I could make a braindance of me playing the game so I could give it to the devs at CDPR and they'd fully understand the level of love I have for this game. And I know it's the same for countless others. The hard work they put in SHOWS - base game as well as 2.0/Phantom Liberty. We don't get this kind of risk taking with a new IP. Pure passion and ambition. I hope they'll never lose that for any of their future games... Just hope they'll be given more time next project ;)
I've played this game now for almost two years. 5 playthroughs with up to 200 or more hours each.
I can confidently say this is my favorite game ever.
same here, 9.5/10 game
Such a well done documentary. Kudos to the film crew🎉
Cool to watch. Cyberpunk is the best game ive ever played.
This documentary is all I wanted. Can't get enough of CDPR.
Its sad it got only 15k views doc. Is amazing
Cyberpunk 2077 is the most ambitious game ever made, right now the gam looks and plays fantastic even in my series S, is among my top 3 of all time for sure!!
i am genuinely so happy i got into PC gaming right before this originally released. playing this on PC at launch, it wasn’t too bad of an experience. definitely had crashes and weird visual glitches, but nowhere near the experience of consoles.
This Game is a Masterpiece...period!!🤷♂️
This is why i purchase the game, gettin it done, should be yall motto.
I enjoyed the hell out of the game day 1 release! i don't know what you talking about.
Ball is in their court now. I hope their studio heads and investors and whoever greenlit the launch of the game in 2020 learn from that mistake. I get it, they want to make money. Well, complete the game and they will make the money.
Exactly. Although it was way more complicated than that:
1. They launched the game for 5 different platforms at the same time - PC, next gen consoles and old gen consoles, each platform needed heavy customisation.
2. Covid in early '20 disrupting development, QA testing and pressuring developers to launch in 2020.
3. On top of that, the game itself is super complicated with plenty of layers each affecting one another.
Bullseye on the last line. Look at GTA 5, a complete game results in happy customers which results in heaps of money.
@@Pixelschillnobrain Cyberpunk doesn't have the world simulation, interactivity, ai, physics, animations of GTA 5. But which game is more ambitious is a dumb argument because over-ambition is a thing. What's the point of half assing high ambitions? CDPR should set their scope according to budget with the intent of making a complete game.
@@Pixelschillnobrain Funny you say that because I actually prefer Cyberpunk over GTA. Played nearly 200h of it. I used GTA 5 as an example because it's an uber successful game thanks to how well made it is, not to compare which game is better. Obviously they're different games but GTA does what it set out to do much better than Cyberpunk while not compromising the complete game. I honestly think Cyberpunk would've had as much success and if not, more that it did if it hadn't come out so borked because then the amazing parts of it would've gotten the deserved spotlight. And lol @ polish being a matter of taste. Liking a jank game doesn't make it polished.
@@Pixelschillnobrain Stop saying what the GTA 5 has and roll on your project: ''you took the sh.t to the new level, you finnish it'' GTA 5 and it's predecessor made out of cardbord and we all enjoed it. if you using different engine you have to figure out how to tweak it to your own, personal needs.
I played the game on a ps4 and enjoyed the story a lot. Yes, there were bugs but nothing compared to what I experienced with Fallout 76 so my tolerance for bugs was higher than the average player.
Same i enjoyed it and played it several times throughout the story. Had the 1st Release Ps4 i knew it wouldn't run great but most problems i had was the graphics taking forever to load in. But I'm Sold on anything CDPR releases
Thanks you CDPR for making this game, best story I’ve ever played. Best open world game I’ve ever played.
I’ve been gaining for past 15 years and this is the best one I’ve played yet ❤
They deserve the game f the year award but they will get awarded at the games awards next month that is for sure I will vote for them
Gut so!
Weitermachen!
Have buy that game in special and due to bad review i totally forgot about it, ... I came back last December, finish it once have bought the dlc, and start all over... I play it for the 3rd time right now and can't get enough of it... I wish for new dlc, new mission etc.... car shop new painting, and upgrade replayable ncpd or cyberpsycho mission similar to car hijack there is so much that game doesn't offer it has a lot of potential left aside, its great but could be 100 times better
Name of the song at the end?
No idea, tried Shazam with no luck. I'm guessing they haven't published it anywhere.
The track that starts at 1:14:50 ? It was used in the Phantom Liberty trailer but unfortunately is unreleased and unnamed :( I think it's because it was specifically for the trailer and is only like 30s long. I believe it is a remix/different version of Songbird's theme. The first few notes on the track here in this video are the same notes as the female vocals in "I'm a Netrunner," about half way through the song at 1:34.
What is that quest at 9:49? I never got it
Corpo prologue
@@glg1390 Thanks!
CDPR was kind enough to let ps4 people play a next gen heavy game. too bad gamers spun it around into thier entitled rants and complaints. Ps4 deserves all those performance bugs on thier hdd.
''Slavic roots, what a bunch of ''A-crap'' ... send him Honda so he can adjust timing! '' 😈

Glad you like it.
im so sorry for them, they stressed out so much i wish I could have helped them as gametester or smth would have been great if i had the chance to help like in a beta or so
are there spoilers?
no but you can see some new locations from Phantom Liberty etc.
well, there definetly is a spoiler regarding hansen death. now i am happy that i waited to end the expansion to watch this
@@wsed010 you can spare him
@@wsed010 tbh I avoided spoilers for the game but seeing it fresh didn't make it better, I prefer to think about the structure and appreciate it as narrative art moreso than enjoying the twists cuz once you know the universe well enough you know what's going to happen based on the design of the city and the players at the top
You all sat there and lied to fans... instead of owning up to the issues, fake videos, private press showings, hyping a game into something that was not possible at that time. You also tried to compete against GTA which you had ZERO expertise in. it was doomed from the start!
Sitting here doing this documentary seems like you want forgiveness, the fact you were asking for £60 AAA game and instead its worth £25 if that with all the bugs and glitches.
CDPR will always have Witcher as its masterpiece of games in history, Cyberpunk2077 will be remembered for its deception!
Cyberpunk2077 ------------------ 2 / 10*
Have you actually played the game?
@@GameOn_2077 i have on at a friends.
I hesitated until very recently in giving Cyberpunk a try due to all the negative press, but curiosity won in the end. There are still some mostly minor bugs present, but all in all I must say that I enjoyed the game quite a lot. Maybe even more than The Witcher 3. In its current state it definitely deserves more than 2/10.
The game was broken at launch but I was honestly surprised I didn't have more issues. Played on PC w/ modern hardware at the time so that's prob why but my launch experience was better than any playthrough of the game I've had since, also much less broken than any Bethesda game I played at launch. Sure the game broke every now and again but a simple restart of the game fixed it every time. Honestly a lot of small things about the game worked really well, the textures seemed to stream in better at a cost of performance, lip sync was much more accurate and seems to be broken since 1.2, a lot of the new optimization tech I feel has subtracted from what the game could be at its best for the sake of 10-20% performance increase. Well worth it but there's a magic the game had at launch that has been lost since, it reminds me of the half life games at launch vs. now.
