- Test Track's last operating day at EPCOT is June 16th, 2024 before it closes to begin its reimagining. Test Track opened in 1999 but this was the 2nd version of the attraction which has been running since December 2012. The entire attraction will be rethemed and it's expected to reopen in 2025. To those who think Test Track is permanently closing. It’s not. It’s going through a 3.0 remodel which will hopefully bring back some of the elements of 1.0 and modernize it for the present day. Be patient everyone. It’ll come eventually.
I thought they said it was going completely back to the 1982 World Of Motion ride.

Wow, from the looks of it, the version I rode on was 1.0. It looks so different! I prefer the first version over the second one.
RIP TEST TRACK- one of my fav rides, but will hopefully be higher on my list after the redo 😔🫶
I have high hopes for 3.0! Even if it’s more like the original it’s a win but I’m expecting full show scenes with physical sets and maybe even some animatronics!

@@TPMvidsbe honest if they are animatronics like The OG world of motion, they might be a giant test of some what type of car brand it can be this time, if I wonder I don’t really know, but I’m really exotic artifact kept about 2.0 I love the ride, but I don’t question how I got on the ride more then probably 3 times, and my favorite is power test, I wonder how the power test will be, does anyone else agree? If you do what do you think it will be like it will still be the same types of tracks for power but will it go that fast and what they will put in the center of the helix

I know you guys love it but it’s getting a 3.0 changing and they’re gonna bring back the building that based off Worlds of Motion and I do have an Old School Aesthetic. Any Old school fans here?

Test track is one of my all time favorite rides, but this redo was desperately needed, so I'm glad they're putting in the effort.
Hope the new version is as fun as I remember back when it first opened.

The first time I rode this I was screaming "PUNCH IT! MORE POWERRRR!" because we were only doing 65. I was expecting to be doing 65 by the end of the indoor tunnel at 5:13!
Thank god I rode this version during my trip last year! RIP TestTrack 2.0 (2012-2024)
I still remenber that I rode Test Track 10 times in a single day (8 in single rider and the rest in normal queue) all the way back at 2016. And I recently rode it in January of this year.
So long Test Track, hope I'll see you revamped the next time.

I remember riding the original version back in 1999 and I loved it so much that I had to ride it a second time. 2.0 hasn't been my favorite but it was still enjoyable. During our 2022 visit, my sister and I designed a vehicle that very much destroyed every other design in our ride vehicle 😅. I'll also never forget the time we had to take shelter in the queue line due to the severity of one of the afternoon thunder storms during that same trip. I cannot wait to see what Epcot has in store for us for Test Track 3.0.
I am so sad because I’m going to WDW in August, which means I’m unfortunately not gonna be able to go on one of my favorite rides this year. High hope for 3.0!

I had no idea they were getting a makeover! That’s awesome I’m glad I got to ride it again in the spring. Hopefully when I return to Epcot one day I can see the makeover!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

@@Mikasuki_X_X yeah half the time the screens at the end aren’t even on or too dim to even see 🤣 I guess it was more for the showroom after where you could do more tests with the sim car.
Right? The acceleration was always very meh, decent torque up to about 30 and then kinda fell on its face.
Lots of memories from when it had the grand opening to the this final ride that I'm watching. Let's just hope Disney doesn't take 5yrs to put something in with whatever will replace that massive building.

It was so fun I remember as a kid just wanting to win in each category and I did great memories were made.
I'm glad I got to ride this version when I went back in 2022. Test Track 2.0 was a ride at Epcot I was looking forward to the most, and it's sad to see this version go.
You should do Tiana's Bayou Adventure edition of fails, malfunctions & breakdowns next!

I went there last week from yesterday, said farewell and hope they do it well.
So glad we finally got a chance to ride it over the holidays. Been to Disney a couple handful of times and it never worked out until that oneday finally to get on with the family. 😊
So sad to hear the ride is getting closed. Was so looking forward to be riding it when I was planning coming to Disney world sometime this year in August hopefully. But very exciting to be hearing about the new test track 3.0 ride and hoping that it’ll arrive soon as possible.🤞🙏🏼 Such a fun and pleasant ride and experience just like cars 🥰

I’m so happy that they’re going to bring back elements of World of Motion. I never experienced it, but it sounded and looked amazing. I did love Test Track though, I just love the edutainment aspect of EPCOT more.
I just hope that they dont disappoint with this reimagining like they did with splash mountain...
They've just gotta not cheap out tbh. Making a ride about the history of cars and car manufacturing is an easy win and given GM is giving them money, I'm hopeful they won't.
The bill is being footed by a sponsor (GM), like some of the most beloved Epcot attractions, so they’re not going to cheap out.
When they makeover this one, it’ll probably be the ruined just like splash mountain was.

The only ride we didn't get to do on our visit to Epcot in 2022 - it broke down when we were in the queue and didn't come back up again
this ride is a 6/10 in my opinion. i personally did not prefer the “stopping and going” style even though your supposed to be testing out your car. i would be like “oh yay we are going faster” but then stop a few seconds after. outside was pretty much the only good part. hoping this new version is better! 🤞🏻
Glad I got to ride this on May 22nd. Hope the next version is even better.

It’s funny how I’m now 21 and will be old enough to have seen test track go through three different phases.
I actually really loved both versions of the ride, they were both so unique and cool and im gonna miss this version
Really excited to see the change. I didn't have much of a emotional connection to this version like Splash Mountain.
I am sad to see Test Track close but I am excited to see what It will look like when it is done.

Was that an Emergency Alert going off at 0:54? I've never been to Disney World, but have seen many videos of this ride and it looks like something I would have really enjoyed! Hope 3.0 is even better.

The ride isn't going anywhere. It is just getting a major retheme that is said to be inspired by World of Motion (the ride it replaced in 1998/1999).
I am very lucky to be going to EPCOT on the 16th, so I will be able to ride it one last time. Super excited for 3.0 tho!!
I grew up with this version. I’m sad that it’s leaving. However, I’m very excited for the new upcoming version.
From the looks of the art, it will definitely be a improvement, however we have to wait and see, hope they keep the car design area
It has been many years since i rode Test Track. It was still the first version. I was there the day it opened after many delays. It was way cool. Rode it many many times. I just watched this video (thank you TPM Vids) it needs a redo. That ride is terriable. Just a bunch of sounds that i would not call music and video screens. No crashing car, no paint booth, boring!!! I hope they restore and rebuild it similar to the first version but better. I also rode World of Motion. Was sad when they closed that.
I'm really gonna miss this version. I'm so upset I won't get to ride it when I go for my birthday in October
They'd better keep the best elements of both versions for Test Track 3.0. Bring back the original charm but keep the car designing portion of 2.0. Designing the cars is the best part. I love trying to max out on one stat, creating engineering nightmares, or getting -2 on the efficiency score
Part of me is gonna miss Tron Track, but I'm also really looking forward to what they do with the new update. Especially since they're going to be referencing World of Motion in it.

This version was definitely a downgrade compared to the original. Hopefully the revamp restores the ride to its former glory.

To me test track is officially gone, after tianas i dont trust them not to mess up the redo. Im so upset i cant have one last ride on this, its one of my favorite rides and im so sad to see it go. So goodbye test track, thank you for the memories.

Honestly test track was never really my favroite ride and i never really saw all the hype around it but now that its leaving all of a sudden im starting to miss it kinda like those times when a baby is playing with a red rubber ball and then they start to play with somthing else but then when you take the ball away the baby wants to play with it now

Test Track will reopen its doors in a year or two when it has new sponsor that will promote electric cars and it will pay tribute to the long gone omnimover ride about transportation known as World of Motion.
Even though I don't live in America, I always wanted to ride this attraction, but of course never got the chance. I hope the new theme will make the ride even better.

Aww bye Test Track. I remember my first visit to WDW in 1997. Testrack "coming soon" signs were everywhere. It was state of the art and high tech at the time. It will be missed!

In a day, my son rode eight times as his farewell. To think he was scared of the ride when he heard the car zooming by.
How did I just find this out? I’m going to disney world all the way from europe in july for the first time and i really wanted to ride test track😭😭
