When I was about 10 years old, I wanted to try to pull the sword from the stone but my older brother thought it was a waste of time and kept yelling that I couldn't do it. I guess a cast member must have overheard because I pulled it and it lifted. The cast member came over and showered me with pixie dust and had me sign my name in her autograph book. That moment was so magical that it stuck with me for years and it was part of the reason I became a cast member myself! I hope they bring it back again someday.

XDDDDD We sadly stopped going to Disney World before 2014 hit and thre last time me and my sister went was for our high school field trip in 2016. RIP PUSH, we’ll never forget ya.
I remember hearing about that monorail accident. It was a miscommunication that made the park realize how dangerous the cockpit was. The driver in the cockpit was a well known cast member, nice and remembered by a lot of guests, only 21. There was a miscommunication and one monorail track didn’t switch and the one who was supposed to switch went straight into his. The cockpit was smashed. Park guests in the trolley behind him tried to help him but he couldn’t be saved. When inspectors were examining the cockpit, they found out his last action alive was throwing the rail into reverse in an attempt to protect the passengers by going backwards but ultimately wasn’t able to go back at all before it was too late. This caused an even more strict communication on the monorail system and in procedures for track switching where it won’t go unless properly checked.
I remember hearing an accident similar to this but instead it was a teen that tried to sneak in Disney World by jumping from the monorail track and the security told him to get down and he thought that they were just yelling at him from his behavior but what he didn't know that they were actually warning him because a monorail was coming straight at him he ended up being crushed and dragged 40 feet from the monorail and ended up losing his life 😢
I forgotten exactly which year but one time I'm sure I saw a talking trash can outside Star Tours in Tommorowland at Disneyland, California. It moved around and spoke to me

being disabled at disney comes with alot of perks lol. I'm someone who suffers from extreme panic attacks and as a kid that would get me alot of these cool experiences! I rode in the cockpit of the monorail a few times and it was insane! I also once had an episode before going on the epcot ball ride and a cast member brought me through the "celebrity doors" and was telling me all about the cool people that walked through the same doors. And as i got off the ride he was standing with a certificate from mickey that said "a certificate to celebrate your bravery and strength". I still have it framed to this day! Whenever my Aunt goes for Christmas or around Christmas time, she brings Christmas Cards and gives them to the Cast Members that just do those little bits of extra for someone as her way to give back to a park that has been important in her life for a looong time. I got to go one year with her and had no idea she did this [thus didn't bring my own] and she handed me a small stack and explained. Idk if they had more than a message in them since I didn't have the courage to open them, but I remember how much it made some cast member's days to get something so small as a token of gratitude and I hope it meant as much to them, as all those little gestures mean to the guests that actually care about that stuff. Because NGL - if I had even something half as nice as that story happen to me, I'd cherish it forever - even if the parks did a full 180 and became a terrible place.
One fun thing we cast members could do at the EPCOT World showcase was create what we called “a magical moment” and let guests watch Illuminations from higher up areas (like the balcony level in the Italy pavilion). It was usually reserved for wedding parties and make a wish kids, but occasionally cast members would let the a random guest(s) do it

It was so cute and I loved it. It was the highlight of my day. Really sad to see that he's been removed :c Also: I'm 23 now :>

I asked for them back before we left and he was like "oh, these.. right.." and it made me so happy he stayed in character for that extra additional submergence into Disney World as a whole. Also, I went on the Stitch ride and realized that isn't around anymore.. 12 years changes a lot like how the world of Mickey and his friends changed to Belle's town or something as I've heard from one of my friends that last went. It's sad to hear that things you went to see are no longer available for other visitors to go through.
I remember when we went one of the last times, the dude who played Jack was similar. My brother had a mickey ear hat with a snowman head on it and he jumped back and told my brother he was one scary dude to be wearing another man's head. It was pretty funny.
I was able to ride in the front of the monorail during my last trip to Disneyland in like 2019 or something. The pilot was super cool and kept telling us things like how long he had been doing it and how often he gets to train other pilots, and how the monorail was the fastest ride in Disneyland. It's so cool being able to see the track as you go over it and a bunch of crazy views onto other rides too.
I got to ride once as a kid, I remember it was either really early in the day or really late, there weren't many people but I remember my brother or I had had a really crummy time and were upset. Dad was chatting up the person keeping tabs on things and she asked if we'd want to be junior conductors. My dad asked and we had no idea so we said yes. The pilot was so sweet. He told us all kinds of facts, let us push some buttons [that from my understanding actually didn't do anything or controlled things like AC in that specific cabin] and just tried to make our day a little bit better. I remember it was really cool and it was the first time I wasn't scared on the monorail. [I was always terrified as a kid that it'd crash or fall off at random for no reason ... so hearing that there WAS a real crash shook me up a bit - thankfully I was older and understood that it was super rare and hasn't happened before or since but ... if little me heard it I'd probably have to skip the monorails for life] Still can't do Skyliner. I did it once and it stopped for over an hour, in the hot sun, over top of a working high way. I was NOT okay XD
When I was a kid, I did get to ride in the front of the monorail at Disney World. It was fantastic and we got a great view of things like all the deer that live under the tracks.
The guy who did PUSH is one of my co workers. He says it was one of his favorite gigs ever. Really cool video TPMvids. I enjoyed this walk down memory lane. Thank you.
10:51 Can we just admire how adorable it is that Kevin goes venturing to Disney with other TH-camrs, but always ducks out of frame or has the camera pointed at his feet. It's more of a meme than his privacy at this point, lol.
Did the College Program in 09 and worked in Tomorrowland. Push was THE BEST. The operator was incredible at interacting with guests while staying incognito. I miss Push!
11:21 PUSH actually exists in Hong Kong Disneyland. I am not sure but I think it is in Shanghai as well and maybe Tokyo. But PUSH is now a Fantasyland trash can and not a Tomorrowland one.
I know of a little secret that a cast member kindly told us about when we were on the hunt for a Tommorow land pin (like in the movie) The stores sell this pin but it doesn't look like the exact one from the movie so we were told to ride test track and after the ride and the car room there will be someone with a clipboard who asks you to take a survey and at the end of it they give you the tomorrow land pin :) I'm not sure if they do this anymore but we felt so cool after wards.

Back in about 1987, my mom(single mom) took me (6) and my two sisters with a full tank of gas and 1000 dollars from Colorado to Florida, determined to take us to Disney and have some fun. We were not destitute, but this was a big deal for us. I remember (vaugely) being able to ride in the front of the monorail with my family as one of the best highlights of the trip. It was a wonderful time and I am so happy we were able to do something that was so simple from the outside, but meant so much to our family! We ended up, according to my mom, home a week later, with 2 dollars and a quarter of a tank of gas, but the best memories of my childhood!
This was so cute to read and sweet of your mom. This made me smile. I blurted out “aaaaawwwwwww” when I finished reading. That’s so cool that you remember that fond memory.
I think the paint brushes have something to do with the Disney video game: Epic Mickey, because that game also had a paintbrush in it, too. A very important one needed to beat the game.
I’ve never been to Disney, and I’ll probably never get the opportunity to, but I’ve been binging these videos lately. So interesting to see. Awesome content
I wish I knew the Andy's Coming! Thing before when I was younger... I loved Toy Story and it would have been a cool experience! I also didn't know that you can sit in the cockpit of the monorail! Great video!
I did that in December 2006 when I was 14. I was in Florida on holiday. What an experience it was. It was like I was driving the monorail (even though I wasn’t.) Indeed it was a shame it closed.
I am 36 years old and never been to any theme parks specially Disney so sometimes these videos are some of the only ways I can get to see things like this
When my family started to go to Disney in 1980, the monorail would have a separate cue to ride in the front. We rode in the front many a times. Love the videos!!
_Yayyy! But why do I always get notifications for these_ ... ... ... *13 MINUTES LATE!?* Edit: yayyyy, face reveal- even though I kind of liked the fun of having it be a secret better. Oh well... life moves on
When I was little, I was selected to join the driver of the monorail a year or two before they stopped at Walt Disney World. It was magical and something I’ll never forget!
When I was about 10 years old, I wanted to try to pull the sword from the stone but my older brother thought it was a waste of time and kept yelling that I couldn't do it.
10:40 There were so many trees...
I did participate in the Sword in the Stone Ceremony at Disneyland in the early 2000s and it did rise that tall. Got a medal to mark the occasion.
Lucky!
[I was always terrified as a kid that it'd crash or fall off at random for no reason ... so hearing that there WAS a real crash shook me up a bit - thankfully I was older and understood that it was super rare and hasn't happened before or since but ... if little me heard it I'd probably have to skip the monorails for life]
Still can't do Skyliner. I did it once and it stopped for over an hour, in the hot sun, over top of a working high way. I was NOT okay XD
This was in my mind. Is it true that Splash Mountain in Disneyland will get re-themed into Princess and The Frog??
Sadly yes
@@a202plays WHAT?? 😭😭😭

Let’s get TPM to 1 million by the end of 2020!!!!!
When I was a kid, I did get to ride in the front of the monorail at Disney World. It was fantastic and we got a great view of things like all the deer that live under the tracks.
Tpmvids will forever be my favorite channel. (I’m also extremely happy that Push is in this!! I danced with him when I was younger!!
Push is iconic!
Disney must be like: 👁👄👁 bruh how he know TPM: 😘
Totally.
I laughed to hard at this
tconlon251 Haha

i thought he pointed to himself cause them he pointed to the guy in the back with a diff name
The guy who did PUSH is one of my co workers. He says it was one of his favorite gigs ever. Really cool video TPMvids. I enjoyed this walk down memory lane. Thank you.
Lucky me actually pulled the sword last trip 2 years ago. Didn’t take long to figure out it was staged, lol
"Welcome to TPM vids disney beat, where we talk about all things disney" always brings me joy to hear
8:21 that kid waving near the front🤣😂🤣😂
I can’t wait I love this channel tpm is the best!!!
I know of a little secret that a cast member kindly told us about when we were on the hunt for a Tommorow land pin (like in the movie)
The stores sell this pin but it doesn't look like the exact one from the movie so we were told to ride test track and after the ride and the car room there will be someone with a clipboard who asks you to take a survey and at the end of it they give you the tomorrow land pin :)
I'm not sure if they do this anymore but we felt so cool after wards.
Man this is gonna be the first vice I've seen live on his channel. Can't wait:)

Awesome content
who just absolutely LOVES this channel and disney
I wish I knew the Andy's Coming! Thing before when I was younger... I loved Toy Story and it would have been a cool experience! I also didn't know that you can sit in the cockpit of the monorail! Great video!
Memes ruin everything

Interviewer: what kind of music to you listen to?
Me, an intellectual: TPMvids background music
I remember riding in the front of the monorail, it was truly magical! Such a shame they stopped it :(
I did that in December 2006 when I was 14. I was in Florida on holiday. What an experience it was. It was like I was driving the monorail (even though I wasn’t.) Indeed it was a shame it closed.
TPM is definitely my favorite channel
Ayeee
I am 36 years old and never been to any theme parks specially Disney so sometimes these videos are some of the only ways I can get to see things like this
When my family started to go to Disney in 1980, the monorail would have a separate cue to ride in the front. We rode in the front many a times. Love the videos!!
I remember finding one of the paint brushes when I was younger. I wonder if they will bring it back after the closure.
Hey, did anyone know that splash mountain is being rethemed 😭
Omg! The for all the likes and comments I’ve never had so much!! 🥰

But seriously who actually thought that that was his face at first 😅😂
When I was younger I had the chance to ride in the front of the monarail definitely made my trip
Omg I thought you were the security guard at first and I was like: EH-?!
I don’t know about you, but that river country commercial, even though I’ve seen it before, just gives me chills.
When I was little, I was selected to join the driver of the monorail a year or two before they stopped at Walt Disney World. It was magical and something I’ll never forget!
10:50, I thought you were the security guard!
Well, if he is the security guard, it makes sense since he knows all secrets at Disney-
I love how the vid hasnt even strted and theres already 43 comments lol
