I am Tongan. But I am of Samoan, Fijian, and of Hawaiian decent. No one can tell me otherwise because I know my ancestry and my history enough to self claim that I am.

Omg I'm shocked, the malu symbol looks almost identical to the frog symbol we have in amazigh traditional tattooing. Crazy thing is it's also a symbol of femininity and fertility!

All Samoans must understand the importance of this island nation as created by the Creator to be the healing alchemy to the world in all of its styles, culture and tradition. HS speaks.

Awesome stuff. Tatau was introduced to Samoa by the Fijians.. It was the women who did the tattooing until the missionaries came in and sort of discouraged this in the islands.

Pretty ta'ahine nice explanation 👌 they found the Oldest tatau instrument in the fortress village of Pea in Tongatapu 2700 years old made of human bones 700BC too deep to reach 700 years older than Roman Colosium 🙏

I challenge you Samoans to come to Fiji and learn about the word tatau. The importance the i tatau traditional ceremony holds to our people and its meaning. Tatau is a Fijian word not a Samoan word.
