thanks! I love flats when playing softly, they sound very warm and smooth and get better with age. To me, rounds are good for digging in on the strings for that nice clank sound (and slapping but i don't slap much), but unlike flats they eventually "die". if I had 2 basses i'd always have one with flats and one with rounds, both sounds are useful at different times.
Hi there, you do this really well. I'm trying to learn this song for the band I'm in, and I was wondering if you play this in drop D, I noticed you said you tune to drop D. And I was wondering if you had tabs to this or some kind of notes. I've found some other tabs for Drop C standard which I also play in, but I really like the way you play it and would like to go more that rout. If you could help that'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :)
Dude your bass and setup sounds amazing!!! Is that a Squier or Fender Jazz? And what amp are you running it through that gives it such a beautiful rumble?
thanks for posting. a more straight-on camera angle would be helpful to see what's going on in those lower frets...not trying to be all critical...appreciate you having this available to help me learn it.
awesome cover. great slides and chords!
LOVE THIS SONG. GREAT JOB M8
thanks!

Just curious how you ended up playing it (what tuning?) - now that it's 13 years later.
Is that fender or a squier version

Yeah this was a Squier bass - I believe it was a SansAmp DI box and DigiTech multi-effects pedal for speaker simulation
another super vid : )
btw what do you like about flatwounds vs roundwounds?
