I decorate with old suitcases, they are great for hiding items, like extra books and I even keep some of my vintage Christmas decor in a large suitcase. I have three staked in my living room, with a plant on top.
Hi Renee, interesting finds, this day. I think the plastic bag of tools are architects tools. The German made instrument is a compass used to make arcs and circles.
So happy you picked the golfbags, I think they are beautiful. Titleist golfballs cost here between 2 to 5 Euros a piece! Pitchfork (those two metal pieces) is used to repair the green during the golf round. And the plastic pieces are ballmakers (I could use one!), well Taco Stack knows that better. Pretty stationary and great garden magazines. It is a real treasure house , hopefully they keep on putting bags for you. Have a great weekend Renee!
The golf balls with Roman Meal on them are a brand name of bread from the 60's and maybe 70's.any companies did this and probably still do, though not as many. When executives played golf, it was like a little advertising bonus and they could give them out as advertising favors to clients, etc.
Funny story about the golf bags......about 20 years ago, a friend of mine stopped to have breakfast on his way to play golf. He bought a lottery ticket (at the store next to where he ate) and stuck it in his golf bag. A few days later, he remembered the ticket and checked the numbers. It turned out that the ticket was one of 5 tickets that shared a $125 Million Dollar prize!! So......make sure to check those pockets on every golf bag you find!!
The protractor looking item, is likely a ruling pen, which graphic designers used, with India ink, and a VERY steady hand, to create lines and borders on layouts for magazine layouts as well as product ads, catalogue pages etc. This was all done pre-computers. Editorial layouts were all done by hand with a T-square, a triangle, a ruling pen/ink and the other components such as type, the stat copies, which were scanned from actual photos, which were used in the layouts. Hope you enjoyed a brief graphic design lesson, LOL
Good usable golf bags are pretty saleable. You took vintage bags, but recent bags in good condition will sell, because new ones are at least $80. In any case, you should always check for left-behind wallets, phones, jewelry, watches, and money. Many guys pay for their round and just throw the change in their bag and forget about it. I'm always finding singles, fives and tens in my bag. The little things that you could not identify are ball marks for marking your ball on the green. The Royal Doulton character jugs used to be good money back in the 80s, but nowadays they go for nearly nothing - except for the rarest and most valuable ones.
I love the graphic on "Your Family Pet". Really cool. I'm so happy they are throwing things again. Definitely looks like garage kind of things. If their house had so many cool things imagine what kind of things garage or basement has... so exciting. Love the tan coloured golf bag. If I were a golfer I'd have to have a vintage one for sure. The golf balls might be collectors items too. The small Doulton Toby jugs are collectors items. Doulton is a UK pottery company and well sought after. They look really pretty and detailed. I'd look them up and definitely a great garbage find. Nice finds x
As teenager of the late 60's and early 70's this brings back so many happy memories. In the back of the old 16 and Tiger Beat mags there was a section of classified adds to find pen pals. At one point I had over 60 friends and that stationary is really bringing back the memories. We would hand write letters to each other that would go on forever. Did not matter if we wrote about our families, school friends or crushes on Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy. Finding that perfect stationary was SO groovy! Wow I never thought I would use that word again. Thanks for the memories Renee!
I love the idea of kurbside shopping. They should do that in the UK, as so many things get just chucked out if theres not a charity shop nearby. Also, the face jugs are actually called Toby Jugs here in the UK, an old work collegue used to collect them, in the end his collection got so vast that his wife got a large shed built for him to display them,, she said they gave her the creeps. He died a few years back, after his wife and I often wonder what happened to them, some were over 200 years old. I hope they went to someone who appreciated them. Oh, and I love your channel, its amazingly interesting and that vintage christmas stuff you love, takes me back to childhood, (I'm an old girl of 57, Lol) I wish we still had the original soft glow christmas lights instead of the blinding, garish LED ones available now. Stay safe.
The sound of rain falling is so calming!! And ZOMG, all of the amazing ephemera!! I think the married couple just blessed you for saving and appreciating all of their things!!
Years ago, Dennison, like Hallmark, had card stores, which also sold stickers, ribbons, packets of different sized googly eyes and many other craft type items.Unfortunately, in my state, Dennison closed many years ago. Not sure if the company is still in existence.
That stationary sure brought back so many memories. I had so many as a teenager and wrote lots of letters to family and friends. I had some of the zodiac but mine was the Aquarius symbol. I remember having a round stationary and when writing letters on that would write it in a circle. It was the main way to keep in touch, especially if you didn’t live near each other as a phone call would sometimes be long distance and could end up being very expensive.
Renee, it is so nice to see you go through these things. I can tell that you are really coming to care about these people. It is very heart warming. I think that the man and the woman who lived there would be happy to have known you and also to know that you are salvaging some of their treasures.
It’s amazing and wonderful how the world puts the right person with the right stuff. If I saw that box with all the paper in it I’d pass it by but it’s the perfect one for you. I hope as you dig deeper through it you find more treasures.
Such memories! The round stationery, psychedelic envelopes and Hallmark stationery take me back to the 70's! So very nice! Thank you for sharing your treasures!
Those boxes of stationery brought back such great memories. I always loved finding really different stationery when I was a young 20 something in the 70's. We always wrote letters back then. Couldn't afford to make long distance phone calls.
I remember when I was growing up in the seventies, it was the cool thing for girls to have lots of pen pals. The type of stationery you found was super collectible at that time!
The silver prong things are to fix your divets on the green when you golf. The little plastic pieces are ball markers. You would put it where your ball was to let another player go next and not have your ball in the way.
The metal key items in the golf bag are divet repair tools for repairing the green, and the small plastic items with the change are ball markers, used on the putting green to mark the exact location of the player’s ball. Love the Toby mugs. Blessings 🐶🐾🐾
Our favorite house delivers again💕💕💕💕. Awesome video! I was just thinking...... you could write a thank you note for the people in the home. Let them know how much “we all appreciate” the items they’ve left by the road. Would that be weird? Just thinking. Lol
The little plastic makers are for for marking where he golf ball is when you have to clear the path for another golfer to put. The spikes are for divits. If you make a hole in he green, you repai i with the tool
The last magazine with jello salads recipes reflected a new trend in western cuisine in the 50's - that of creating vegetables in savory jelly to accompany meats. It revived a Victorian trend of 100 years earlier when great ornate creations were served at table causing diners to gasp! I often wondered if they gasped when they had to eat them....... Lovely video - I learned some things about golf from the comments. Stay safe.
I'm happy that the people are still leaving You treasure. I enjoy seeing what they leave. Your face is priceless. See you never know what is around the corner.
The fortune teller & the Zodiac cards, I had back in my "HIPPIE DAYS" during high school & college days, some were from the 1960s & others early 1970s! THANKS for the MEMORIES!!! It was NEAT to see my old cards again !!!
I've known from day one that I am the same age as the daughter of this couple. It's so interesting to see some of the same exact things I had as a kid. One small example: the Halloween sticker booklet. Yep, we had those. I LOVED stationery and had quite a collection myself. We loved to write and receive letters back then.
Hooray! I’m glad your favorite house is putting out stuff again. Your facial expressions while looking at that “Gel Cookery” magazine were priceless. It did not sound very appealing, did it? 😉
Always amazed at the stuff you find in the trash! That golf course , bay wood greens , is in lower Delaware. I have a good friend that is into golf and golf stuff. He probably has a 1,000 clubs in his basement What is worth money is mystery to me, people think that wood shaft clubs are worth the most but usually not necessarily true. When I was blacksmithing I was commissioned to make an early 1800s antique club. Was fun and guy liked it The one thing with the bulbous end with holes is a Tea Strainer straw. Is used with tea made out of loose leaves. Victorian ones made out of sterling can be worth good money. We’re popular with South America gauchos cowboys too I think they are experiencing a resurgence with environmental concerned folks, you know the anti plastic bag crowd 😉, since less waste The little “deer” is a chamois , sort of a goat antelope from the mountains of Europe.
Oh, I love the stationary and vintage magazines!! That was an awesome find! As for the golf bags, some have bought them and repurposed them to hold umbrellas, canes, walking sticks, etc.
The metal things in the golf bag that you asked of they were tees, they are actually divot repair tools. When you take a swing and pull up a chunk of ground you use the tool to help repair that area.
Yippee!!! The magic trash bags haven’t ended. What a blessing - what a fun ride. 😊👍❤️ And that gelatine recipe book makes me think of the tomato aspic recipe you found not long ago - just as distasteful. 😂
Golf help, the little flat plastic bits with a pick on other side is for marking your ball on the green, the metal forked pieces are for repairing ball marks on the green. Yes the smaller the number the better since it records strokes.
You know to talk to Taco Stacks about the golf bags. Back in the day they jellied everything. When Mom came first to America she was confused as to whether the fruit jello salad with MAYONAISE on it-was it dessert? was it salad?
The tool to make circles is a compass from a drafting kit. I had that needle tool for a pottery class I was taking. Most of the cards look like 1960s.
I use a gol fbag for my brooms and mops Keeps them organized and neat
I decorate with old suitcases, they are great for hiding items, like extra books and I even keep some of my vintage Christmas decor in a large suitcase. I have three staked in my living room, with a plant on top.
Hi Renee, interesting finds, this day. I think the plastic bag of tools are architects tools. The German made instrument is a compass used to make arcs and circles.
Royal Doulton Toby jugs. The stirrers we call them swizzel or cocktail sticks in England. The rain sounded like wind in the trees.Lovely
So glad for you your house had some more wonderful things for you!
Wow awesome finds . Thanks for sharing and stay safe out there.
Wow! Love the colors! Great finds!
The Knox gelatain book is a collectable. Lots of people collect old cookbooks.
So happy you picked the golfbags, I think they are beautiful. Titleist golfballs cost here between 2 to 5 Euros a piece! You have a very good heart. I love the joy you show when you find something you love. You see the good in it all 💝💝💝💝💝
Some Royal Dalton is very collectable. Mini Toby jugs. Very cool.
Wow that’s a great stationary box!😊
Great Video. Thanks
Yay for Renee‼️‼️‼️ $$ never a bad find. The little box wasn’t a bad grab. So glad you saved the magazines and stationery. ~ Texas
Love the opening

The glass swizzle sticks are great , especially if they have advertising on them .
I believe the pointy thing from the golf bag is to fix a divet in the ground after you hit the ball.
Funny story about the golf bags......about 20 years ago, a friend of mine stopped to have breakfast on his way to play golf. Hi Renee you found some awesome finds 😀👍 please don't ever apologize for the rain I love the sound of it 💧☔🌦️❣️
Some great finds
I enjoy watching your videos.I get just as excited as you do when you go through the trash bags.Keep making the great videos.
Glad you like them!
Divet repair tool... Some good find's gr8 ephemera lot's... 👍💕🔥😷
loved the psychedelic stationery!
Very cool couple. She must have been a big letter writer. Nice finds.
Glad to see the trash bag back!
You could stretch the trash queen over a blank canvas to make a picture and staple it. 💕👍🏻❤️💕
That was fun, & the falling rain was so soothing i fell asleep in the middle of the vid & had to go back to see the part i missed.
The Zodiac stationary and psychedelic envelopes look like Peter Max art, they're very cool. Very 'Yellow Submarine', very 1960s! GROOVY. lol

Pal Club Members Patch was Children's vitamin back in the early 70s .
Another fun one! Love your videos!

That such a sweet sentiment. I always like things to find a good home.
Such memories! The round stationery, psychedelic envelopes and Hallmark stationery take me back to the 70's! So very nice! Thank you for sharing your treasures!

Your name made me do a double take! I was a letter writer too! So great to see someone else from my era with my name!😌
I'm so excited that they are putting more items out. There's no telling what is in the pockets of the rest of the golf bags.
Stay safe and God Bless.
The stationary reminded me of styles I used in the 70's. Real Peter Max style. Awesome finds!
Yes! I immediately thought they were reminiscent of Peter Max!
Me too! Loved when Peter Max worked with the 7up company. The commercials were so groovy and so were the ads in magazines! Ahhh, the 70s.☺️
I remember when I was growing up in the seventies, it was the cool thing for girls to have lots of pen pals. The type of stationery you found was super collectible at that time!
Letter writing is a lost art! Love reading old letters. People had style with words back in the day.
The silver prong things are to fix your divets on the green when you golf. The little plastic pieces are ball markers. You would put it where your ball was to let another player go next and not have your ball in the way.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin' the puddles gather rain 🌧 ~ I liked hearing the rain Renee😃
Thanks 😊
Holy Cow! That box of stationery! That's a junk journaler's heaven! I'd love to get my hands on stuff like that!
Rain is my favorite weather. Love the sound it makes.
The metal things that sort of look like a key, in the golf bag, is a tool for removing the spikes in golf shoes.
The metal key items in the golf bag are divet repair tools for repairing the green, and the small plastic items with the change are ball markers, used on the putting green to mark the exact location of the player’s ball. Love the Toby mugs. Blessings 🐶🐾🐾

The older couple passed away but maybe it's their children doing the clean out.
The magazine from 1955 were from the year I was born! The stickers were just like the teachers put on our paper in school! From the 60s!
So glad we got to see another bag from that cool house!! The stationary box was neat!! Hope they are still cleaning out!!
The rain is perfect in the background , you should have rain sound in all your porch videos, it is very relaxing!
The little plastic makers are for for marking where he golf ball is when you have to clear the path for another golfer to put. The spikes are for divits. If you make a hole in he green, you repai i with the tool
I love these treasure picks. And I so appreciate their putting out what they consider trash. But we know better!😉
The three Toby jugs by daulton are worth selling. The first is the cardinal, the second is Sam weller and the third has its name on the bottom
Some lovely stationary

Great finds for junk journalists! You should be able to sell lots of those items. Thanks for sharing.
Little square things are ball markers, silver thingies are tee pillars I think
I hope you find more great stuff! TFS Hugs!
I couldn’t be happier to see more goodies from this house!!!!
Holy golf bags Batman!!
You have me looking at peoples curbsides on trashday to see if I see any treasures that I can salvage. Lol.
So glad you got another trash bag. I cannot wait to see what's in it! Great video Renee. Box full looked good. Excited for you!
Hooray! I’m glad your favorite house is putting out stuff again. Your facial expressions while looking at that “Gel Cookery” magazine were priceless. It did not sound very appealing, did it? 😉

Put the garden magazines on your online auction....I would love to have them
People buy those unused greeting cards at flea markets sometimes. I would tie a group up with ribbon and sell them. Unless, you want to keep them.
I think you should put all the patches you find on your green trash picking jacket...that would be awesome!!
That's a great idea.
Score ⭐️
Oh, I love the stationary and vintage magazines!! That was an awesome find! As for the golf bags, some have bought them and repurposed them to hold umbrellas, canes, walking sticks, etc.

People will buy vintage gardening magazines so don't cut them up. You had a good haul and some free money. Loved hearing the rain too.
Denise I love the rain as well ☔💧😆
Groovy stationary! Remember a lot of it - Hallmark stationary was always so much fun in the pretty boxes used to pen a lot of letters!
The floral round paper is stationery. You fold it when your letter is done-that’s why the envelopes are long.
Rain? whats that? Sweating here in Texas.... Miss the sound of rain, turn it up!!!!!!!!
A thing that makes circles is a compass. Drink stirs are "Swizzle Sticks" .
Golf help, the little flat plastic bits with a pick on other side is for marking your ball on the green, the metal forked pieces are for repairing ball marks on the green. Yes the smaller the number the better since it records strokes.
I sincerely hope there are many more 'episoods'!!! :)
Junk journalers heaven in the paper box! Oh so fun video.
The small plastic Ingersoll Rand pieces are golf markers. They are used when a players ball may be in the way of another's ball
You know to talk to Taco Stacks about the golf bags. Back in the day they jellied everything. When Mom came first to America she was confused as to whether the fruit jello salad with MAYONAISE on it-was it dessert? was it salad?
Yea! The house is still coming through! Junk journal makers would love the stationary and garden magazines!
I think this is now my favorite thing you do ! Keep up the great work...luv luv luv it. Kris
