I understand that storage units can bring both the positive/negative, with some viewers absolutely despising this type of video while others enjoy it. I try to look at the positive aspect of storage unit cleanouts, allowing for others to reuse the items & enjoy them, versus everything ending up in the trash (which many facilities do - they want the units cleaned and onto the next renter, so they aren't much for sorting everything). A video like this also allows for others that are interested in storage auctions to see what one could expect to find - or not find - in a unit. Thanks so much for watching!

Oh, my!!! It’s so packed with a story of someone’s life circumstances. I always wonder what leads the person or people to abandon a storage unit. Is it illness, lack of finances, being stoned and in LaLa Land? Who knows? Sure hoping you’ll find some treasure after you’ve excavated your way into depths of the unknown. Thanks for taking us along. 👍😍
I wonder about who owned all the contents of these storage units too, and what happened to them that caused them to abandon all their belongings. In this case, having so many cellphones and pill bottles, I'd almost guess it was someone who was dealing drugs. And they must have had children. If they were arrested suddenly and in jail, someone else would have had to pack up all their stuff and put it in storage. I don't feel much sympathy for them, but I do sympathize for any children involved. It would be sad to see them separated from their parents if they were sentenced to prison. That would be a shame.
Hello Renee. I’m watching this late but I went to my brother in law’s for a bonfire and was there later than planned. Now I smell like a fire, but I had fun . Ain´t no mountain high enough...another big challenge for the curator of P&M, and I can´t explain why, but she seems to be happy with it. Perhaps she got one or more little helpers this time ?! 😄 Anyways, Renée, your digging started promising with some change (hopefully a 1909 V.D.B. among those pennies), jewelry, a Versace purse, numerous cell phones, a DeLonghi Espresso machine, high end cameras etc.etc. Not a bad find for a whopping fifty bucks, and more is yet to come ! 🤞Can´t wait to watch part two of this "good mood video" ! 😅 Have a great weekend, and God bless ! 🖐Greets from GER, U.

Those look like Kindles with all of those cell phones. You'll get your money back plus from those cell phones at a Wal-Mart cell phone return. I would have to look at what's on the sim cards of the cameras. Might be some great photos on them. ☺
Maybe the New Jersey lucky penny will bring some good luck your way. I am curious as to what else you will find. I wonder if there is a way to determine the story behind the multiple cell phones, purses/bags/backpacks and clothes? BTW the espresso machine could have some value - there is quite a range when you look up the retail prices so worth checking on. Likely needs a good cleaning unless hardly used. Fingers crossed for what's to come.
I'm a bit at a loss on this one, at least in terms of putting a story behind it. I think you've made your money back - even with just the legal stuff :). But bags stuffed in bags? 20+ cell phones, cameras & tablets. I guess the person could have been a tech junkie. Maybe a single Mom with a child to account for the toys. Or a young adult who kept all of his / her toys and collected purses? Good buy, I think, but I'll be interested in video #2 to see if there's any more clarity on how it came to be. Of course it may be obvious to others - I don't get out much. In the meantime, hope you have a great weekend!
In part 2, I do shed a little light on the story behind the unit! And you won’t believe what I found more of! Haha 😂 I ask myself if I should have splurged & bid on the unit that sold for almost $3,000, but that is a big gamble hoping that you find items that you can recoop your 3k plus make a profit. At least the bags weren’t filled with actual trash, clothes aren’t so bad to deal with! Hope that you have a nice weekend!
@@PaperandMoose Yeah, I don’t know, $3K seems like an awful gamble unless you see something in the photos that’s a sure thing. You’ve really done great with the less expensive units - but I guess at some point it’s natural to want to expand into higher end stuff. Looking forward to the insights on the story. It’s remarkable how diversified and knowledgeable you’ve become over the last few years. Quitting your corporate job was the best risk you ever took!
When I see alot of cell phones it reminds me of a story I heard that scammed buy multiple phones so they can't or have a hard time getting caught. Maybe the tablets were used to keep track of accounts spread out under separate devices? Maybe? Questions after questions, can't wait to see what else you find. Hugs from Ephrata, Pa. 🤗
Saturday I won a 5x5 and a 5x10. The 5x10 is actually a 10x20 and it is PACKED. I'm heading over there in a bit to clear out the little one and take a good gander at the big one. I rented them both to give me some time to get them moved. Wish me luck. Funny, i've yet to watch this video but will later today. Man this stuff is FUN!!!!!
I had a girl working for me in 2006. Beauty shop. One of the technically best hairdressers that ever worked in my shops. After a year, she started doing all the little gray haired ladies hair in their homes. We all thought she was so sweet (which she could be, often), but she had become addicted to pills. She was robbing them of their medications. Which then turned to checks and jewelry and whatever she thought she needed. Took 8 years for her to be caught. She spent 18 months in a hospital rehab, came out and did it all again. Working for someone else.
Any wait to see what else. Curious, when you get units like that with that many clothes, are the put in the unit clean or were they dirty. Just curious. I know they are dirty now but just wondering
The wife and I enjoy your vids and finds and such. We are most curious about the bandaid on your arm. Apologies if you've already mentioned that in a previous video. Also, we are wondering where you keep all your finds when sorting? Love your content 😊

Part 2 will be out tomorrow! I remember the days when you could purchase fancy ringtones/certain songs for your ringtone. I don’t bother with that now, been using the same ringtone for years! Hope that you had a nice weekend!
those cell phones should bring a few dollars each. bring a container for all the change you collect and see if you can pay for every other one you buy just w/ the change.
It amazes me what people put away into a storage unit. All those cell phones can be recycled can’t they? Here in NZ our cellphone companies take them to recycle what can be out of them. Do your pharmacies take the medication back to destroy?
All of the plastic bottles could have been recycled too, crazy to spend money to store them! For the pharmaceutical items, our police stations usually have a drop-box that they can be brought to.
You’re always so excited about exploring. It makes your videos a pleasure to watch.

Should bring a magnet with you. Gold doesn't stick to a magnet.
You know you should be having some bugs spray with you you don't want to get bit by something you're going to regret LOL😂😂😂😂
The med ending in 'prazole" is probably acid reducer. It's nothing crazy.
Man this stuff is FUN!!!!!
got to see it, dang that was a lot of cel phones and pill bottles....
Seriously, though the person that had that unit must’ve been in quite a bad way health wise 😢😮
You can turn the phones in at kiosk at walmart
Any wait to see what else. Curious, when you get units like that with that many clothes, are the put in the unit clean or were they dirty. Just curious. I know they are dirty now but just wondering
It looked like a mixture - some stained, some with tags, others looked worn only a few times.
I agree with one of the other commenters, it looks like someone pulled a bunch of B & E’s and hid everything in that locker!
The wife and I enjoy your vids and finds and such. We are most curious about the bandaid on your arm. Apologies if you've already mentioned that in a previous video. Also, we are wondering where you keep all your finds when sorting? Love your content 😊
Pantoprazole is used to treat gerd (protonix).
I just called it a tote cuz you told so much stuff in there you ladies 😂😊
Someone had a bunch of "friends groups" and didn't know how to set up different ringtone, so just got more phones for that task 😉. I wish I could have been there to help, looked very intresting. Can't wait (but must wait) for the next instalment for the rest 👍👍
That's a weird unit for sure. Pretty sure you'll make your money back...and by the time you're done you'll be partially trained as a pharmacist
I think you got a tweekers unit, good luck girl....
I need to get into the storage unit game more. It would make for some fun searching videos.
They are probably burner phones, very possibly a d dealers stuff
It amazes me what people put away into a storage unit. All those cell phones can be recycled can’t they? Here in NZ our cellphone companies take them to recycle what can be out of them. Do your pharmacies take the medication back to destroy?
All of the plastic bottles could have been recycled too, crazy to spend money to store them! For the pharmaceutical items, our police stations usually have a drop-box that they can be brought to.
All the purses and phones makes me think someone might be a pick pocketer
The De-longhi expresso machine is more than worth the price you paid (assuming it's working and has its parts, of course), those start at $100
you can take broken phones to a ecoATM kiosk
