Bear's Discourses #7.2 Tandems

We’ve got a new tandem! The Pearl is an updated version of the Chestnut Pal. We’ve retained all the great performance of the Pal, as well as the traditional upsweep to the sheerline. We’ve eliminated the recurved stems, which offered no performance benefit, but increased the weight. Paddlers seek out the Pearl as a low volume tandem for day paddles and short overnights, and when paddled backwards from the bow seat, a high-volume solo for larger loads or paddlers.

Nice innovation on a classic design there Bear. But I'm looking forward to my new NW Solo in a few months which is still in gestation.😉
