To simplify, this version of Loki we're following is a time-displaced version from the past. He escaped with the Tesseract right after the 2012 battle with the Avengers. He never experienced the events of later MCU movies like Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok etc. Just like the Gamora who's running around currently is from 2014 and never experienced the events of the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies. In both cases the characters we knew from the main/primary timelines died, and are still dead. But these variants are still alive.
It is exciting to see Loki back, Loki is no longer a villain, he is now considered an antihero, you will see why, Loki from Thor Ragnarok and Avengers Infinity War had his redemption
The confusion is normal and intended. You will get more answers as you progress through the season. It also makes great rewatch material because of the things you notice on a second watch.
You gotta remember, Loki was working for Thanos in the original avengers, aka just a few hours before he watched thanos kill him. The betrayal must have hit hard.
I think the reason why it's "suppose to happen" is because remember Bruce says "if we put the stones back to its place, it never left" Steve putting the stones back is what makes the TVA not pursue them. As much as Loki creates so many problems with the MCU such as the reveal that there is no free will the whole time but this show is the best MCU show so far, mainly with how it sets up the multiverse saga while being it's own thing
What a treat! My 2nd favorite MCU series (after Moon Knight). Even in the 1st episode you can already see how well Wilson and Hiddleston play off each other. Wilson's down to earth everyman works perfectly against Hiddleston's flashy and charming self aggrandizement.
yeah I'm glad theres at least one marvel show that is great with every episode about a character that we actually want to see and deserves their own show. Daredevil is also a great show but alot longer
You immediately having that theory before even watching the first episode really shows how closely you’ve been retaining all these movies. It’s hard for a lot of people to do because there’s SO MUCH and a lot can happen that tends to blend and be forgotten about, but almost no one that has reacted to this show that I’ve watched so far has had that realization until it happens. Even I didn’t pick up on that at first and I think that’s what’s so cool about the pilot is that you get reminded of the Endgame shenanigans and realize this is not Endgame Loki. Really one of the most interesting ways to utilize a character exit/ plot hole I’ve ever seen. This show is one of the tops for me. It got a bit weird near the end, but that doesn’t overall upset me, as it doesn’t screw up the overall direction of the show. Especially now that the season 2 trailer is out. I hope you enjoy this as much as you’ve enjoyed the other shows so far, the best though, is still yet to come ( at least in my opinion).
Great reaction. I really enjoyed this series. It has a special place in my heart because it was the last thing I saw with my father before he passed away.
I've heard lots of people being confused about the timeline vs. reality thing in this show. To help, you have to focus on the nexus point. Realities are separate, but nexus events happen along all time in the various realities. This sacred timeline is a cohesion of the pivotal (Nexus) events that make each reality exist and function. I can't explain more about this without giving things away. But if you or a Mod reads this going forward, it will make the whole understanding of the show easier to fallow. 😊 Cheers guys

It's lucky that they finished Loki last night, so that they know about season 2, but otherwise it would be nice to be careful of comments like this, as they would definitely prefer otherwise NOT to know up-front that there is going to be a season to of course.
@@HIPsteHeero when I made the comment, the top comment, that had several thumbs up, and if still the top comment, informed them of this. Keep your thoughts to yourself.
@@dustinheese So, you don't care about what Rob and Trin want then? Since they have repeatedly said they'd rather not know up front. And like I said, it was just lucky that they had already seen the season finale.
That some other people just give you some likes, does that then automatically remove the problem with spoilers? You know, the comment you mention that went from HUNDREDS according to you, to several,, which I assume is not this one you're talking about, considering it has only 2.
And as a moderator, no, I will not keep my thoughts to myself, I will keep pointing out what Rob and Trin want, and you could still be a bit respectful about that, or at least try.
I could have deleted your comment, but decided not to.
All I'm ASKING is that you keep in mind that there's some things they don't need to know.
It's why we only give them like 4/5 titles up front of what's next in the watch order.
Seriously, as a mod, I'm just asking you to be mindful of what you say, for Rob and Trin. I'd hope that wouldn't be that much to ask.
Right time for a reaction before Loki season 2 comes out on the 5th (6th for Kiwi's like myself).
one or two of them have extra credit scenes. Forget which episodes!
My favorite MCU series after WandaVison. Very creative and beautiful.
And Trin, you have lost your precious ? 😅
🙈
One episode and you already nailed it. (see 27 min in). The rest would be spoilers for the next couple of years (as far as I can see now).
In reality, The Avengers did not commit any infraction, because what they took, they gave back, without changing events.
2012 Cap which now knows that "Bucky is alive" would like to have a word with you
@@lI_Speedor_Il Cap believed the other Cap? He thought the other was Loki, god of lies.
I think it gives Fallout game vibes.
I can’t wait to see what you guys think of this series! This is the MCU at its best, great reaction as always!!
You will need to watch this at least twice. So many Easter Eggs.
Laufison, not odinson.
One of the best series of anything ever, not just Marvel. Top-10 in my list of all things ever. You two are what, 2 years back now. You'll be caught up soon!
Tom Hiddleston is great as Loki!
I understand people will say this is the best show but for me personally mine has something to do with the moon 🌙
Surprised you haven’t watched Doctor Who as you love time travel stuff.
and now the best one. God Luck.😉
Great reaction, hope you love the series! You guys should do the Marvel Halloween special, "Werewolf by Night" for Halloween!
Since you mention you love time stuff I can recommend the tv show "Dark". Its the best "time based" show made and I don|t know if there will be a better one ever made.
It replaced, the more than a decade run of, Galactica as my favorite tv show story.
It is a german show and it also won the user voted bracket on rotton tomatoes for best netflix produced show beating stranger things, narcos, ozark and all the other good shows they had.
I love these reacts and Rob and Trin's dynamic. How often are the reacts posted? I feel there is too much of a time gap between episodes being posted. That just speaks to how good the reacts are.
But if there is a posted schedule or something please direct me
~Trin Usually the MCU content is on Saturdays and we release double episodes if it's a show, but this month is bit special because I am not at home, I made a community post about it.
@@robtrinreact2825 Thanks for the response. I truly enjoy your reacts. I love the MCU and it has been an absolute pleasure to rewatch it through your reacts.
