Sierra Ferrell is amazing. I could listen to her sing the warnings on a prescription packet and never get tired of her 🤠
haha thats perfect. Ive seen her a couple of times and she puts me in a trance.
this girls amazing! sounds like some of that old country my granny used to listen to here in WV when I was little, growin up in bars
Amen Sierra, I totally relate to the power of music to move me. While Flatt and Scruggs covered the song in the 1960s, its first known recording was by Charlie Poole and the North Carolina Ramblers, in 1925.
Love me some Charlie Poole ❤ it's hard being a 34 year old who loves old music sometimes, no one my age is listening to what I'm listening to other than the grateful dead and Billy strings in which I absolutely love but there's just something about the music in the early to mid 1900s that moves me on a whole different level.
Wow I am newly discovering Sierra. So glad I finally did, her story telling and voice are amazing. Being able to play multiple instruments is a plus. This was an amazing performance.
I discovered ger music during a rough patch and met her and saw her play in 2020. Just love her.
This is what real talent sounds like.
The Carter Vintage version of this is what got me going with Sierra. It is still in heavy rotation.
Fuck this is amazing! I love watching her perform. A great musician. I am excited to see where she goes. I've been on the Sierra train since 2019 and I'm happy to keep going!!
This is like my favorite cover she does, its so amazing. I love Sierra, just bought a ticket to see her

It IS your favourite cover? Or it's similar to your favourite cover?

How good is this, you and your guitar, it's where you started and it's still the best sound, I don't mean any disrespect for your band, they are amazing, but for me it's you and your guitar 😘👍👍👍

Beautiful
Perfection.
Love this song and I enjoy the backstory.
Amazing!
I love your interpretation of this classic song in a minor key! It resonates with a forlorn emotional sadness but also one of beauty.
Wonderful
She’s such an incredible talent!

Wah wah wah .... Miner 😂 great talent
My Freek'n Goodness Girl... West by God !
Ok, so, for years now I've been furious that she hasn't gotten the recognition she deserves. What will finally satiate my ravenous hunger? The Jimmy Kimmel thing was a nice snack, the long Rolling Stone article was good (and the now-regular appearances at Opry are even better) but... what will finally satisfy me and then, ironically, make me a little salty and yearn for the days when she was this hidden gem that only a small group of us knew about?
Sounds like you don’t like her getting famous and getting the recognition she deserves, I guess “fans” like you don’t want to share her with the rest of the world lol I’m from Charleston WV and I couldn’t be happier for her. She makes me even more proud to be a West Virginian than I already was. Which is hard to do because I love this state.
I think the Grateful Dead vibes have been wearing off on her a bit the more festivals she plays.
Hope not...
This is a different Deal
She was like that first, before all the country. She was in a band called 600 Pounds of Sin a long time ago and was busking with Grateful Dead ~vibes~ before and after that.
Sierra come play on my porch! You’re invited!
“Miner” key. 😂
Could someone please tell me what kind of guitar Sierra is playing on this song? This is her main guitar.
Blueridge 🐦
Mountain songbird
The Doc Watson version is the ultimate rendition of this old Charlie Poole song.
I didn't get the West Virginia joke.
Minor key, because of coal mining in WV
Paige Capos Rule!! #paigecapos
Basically an Elliott for an nth of the price...I agree.
