    Darwin is wonderful. I lived in Casuarina for a couple of years and really want to go back! I was born in the UK and spent 20yrs in Melbourne (Aussie citizen) and now in NZ but retirement coming up so NT is the go for me.

      Hi Martin, it is still an untamed Territory. After 38 years here i still love it.

    Love your commentary and insights to my favourite destination in oz. It’s a shame my partner doesn’t share our love for the place. Ian

      Thank you Ian. Darwin is not for every one. I consider myself fortunate to call the NT home.

    The Dripstone Cliffs are beautiful, nice to see them. The footage at 13:30 is phenonemal. Jen and I had a gorgeous afternoon and evening at that surf lifesaving club in the dry season years ago - amazing place to watch the sunset. Very nicely made video this one mate, enjoyed it.

    Nice video of Casuarina beach and surroundings . Was this today ? The reason I’m asking is because my cousin and his family are in Darwin for the first time and on my high recommendation of Darwin . He said they love it and wished they could stay longer . He’s been in Australia for over 40 years and never been to my favourite place in Australia . He said was a bit hot but bearable because he’s lived most of his life in Melbourne . Thank you Darwin Insights for making the effort to record and post these videos of Darwin .

    *Why is there no one at the beach if the weather is sunny and warm??? That's weird*

    Do you know where the rock carvings are at dripstone and nightcliff?

    • @darwininsights442
      @darwininsights442  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not specifically,but a young indigenous man once told me there was a cave in front of the swimming pool. Only accessible at low tide.

      @@darwininsights442 I found a few mentions on a Darwin FB group but the directions are kind of vague. Also not sure if they are still there or erosion got to them.

      @@darwininsights442 did you find photos of them? Agree. Very interesting. But hard to locate. I tried the cliffs at dripstone (down the stairs and left) but I couldn’t find them.

    I really want to go here because the water is so warm and beautiful, but I was crushed to find that there are crocodiles and deadly jellyfish roaming around.

    • @darwininsights442
      @darwininsights442  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      hI saradave5827, the Jellyfish will be gone by mid April. I have not seen any crocodiles in this area as i like to swim there.
