Haha awesome stuff Barra Boy and it’s exactly how you said it mate. The threadies and Barra were on the neap tide. When I went to Dundee it was on the spring tide 7-8 meters and with the wind the water bit to dirty but hey the show goes on🤩👍 and mate if I nailed a catty on them rocks I would of got excited 😆 😆 haha but don’t worry brother the next one we’re in the Red Jim beam boat and it’s game on haha.. My manager The Oakstar reckons I gotta change it up a bit so that’s what we did lol.. Hope your feeling better Legend & take care buddy..!!

Clarrie and I used to sit on the front beach at Goold Island off Cardwell when fishing and camping and admire sunrise and sunsets. Your boat is protected there apart from a westerly. We used to stay there for a week. Also Macushla beach overlooking Mt Bowen spectactular. There are 8 creeks there you can fish and crab. You can go to a broadwalk through the mangroves and end up on ocean beach on the eastern side. We used to have a dip when it got hot after fishing. Then go back to boat and do more fishing. Those were the days. We used to support the little store at Port HInchinbrook and the Cardwell pub and local butcher. Keepin it reel, Chris.😁☀️🔪🏖

I actually have spent a fair bit of time over cairns way and if I was going to ever relocate it would be that way.. A lot of the places here in the NT get fairly busy now in the dry season so I’ll poke around to them when it’s hot but hey it’s not really hot because that night in the mozzie dome I had to turn the fan off lol.. Great location, was here in July , a local fisherman advised me to use the terror eyez white lure with big black eyes 👀 or a splice . Salmon were going for that . Otherwise live bait . Hope the access road was easy in the wet ? Nice video thanks 😊

Hi Andy, I might add that you can see the cane fires from the front beach at Goold on the mainland and Garden Island is council run so you can light fires and take dogs there. At least the locals used too. Permits are required but pretty cheap. They do have basic facilities like toilet and barbecue areas. But be aware you have to take you own gas and cooker in case they are out of gas or not functioning properly. They have water tanks but we also used to take our own water. About 25 to 30 minutes by boat from Cardwell. Cheers, Chris.😁🤘
